Thank you Nitin Sir, for this very informative, easy to understand format presentation of this strategically important issue for all Indians. It is heartening to notice that the Govt of the day has realized the importance of strengthening our border infrastructure especially in facilitating our dedicated military but also in helping the local populations with their daily needs of food, health, education and employment opportunities. It is sad that this has taken 0ver 70 years to dawn on our political leadership about the dire importance of our security, especially in the N\E and the N\W in addition to elsewhere. This is a unique program like none other in getting the critical FACTUAL information. Thanks again Sri Nitin Ji for your efforts. JAI HIND

It seems the Indian military establishment has not war-gamed the Chinese moves fully, otherwise how is it that Chinese were able to move up the Ridgeline so quickly? The new roads they have built enabled them and in future will allow induction of heavy weapons such as rocket launchers which will decimate our front line. We need to bring in heavy artillery and more troops with heavy guns. More surveillance and better roads. We should occupy land beyond LAC to create a buffer zone.

I wonder if any one has considered the prospect of a limited, brutal short war before the next elections in India? Xi has his chosen army generals in place in the Pla. Look what happened to Putin with his yes men in the army. Xi will be thinking several times before venturing into Taiwan. If he gets into Taiwan he can not turn back and he can not have a prolonged conflict there, neither can he withdraw without reaching his goal.
So my theory is that, to test his own army generals competence and their mettle he is likely to ask them to take on Indian army and prove their worth, having given them all the toys the Pla needs. Based on their performance he will go after Taiwan.

Nitin Gokhale sir, all your programmes are a class in themselves , Congratulations. The main/ core question , perhaps is, how the Chinese like to look at themselves in 21st century and beyond. How should we like to look at China : is it building Socialism with Chinese characteristics or a new design of Capitalism with Chinese Characteristics with the middle Kingdom syndrome!!??

Can Nitin hold a special presentation to the opposition parties, particularly for Rahul, so that picture will be clearer to everyone. It is strange that Modi Govt is not having discussion on China, particularly when it has nothing to hide or fear. In particular, we must understand that we do not have an agreed border with China. Our 1954 map of India is just a figment of imagination of Nehru and the a huge part of it is not agreed to by China. Nehru lost areas of Aksai Chin etc. considered ours, to China in early 50s itself and after 1962, we are left with whatever area not occupied by the Chinese in Ladakh. Let Rahul know the immense and irrecoverable damage caused by his great grandfather to this country, before he opens his mouth against Modi.

When the Chinese encroach the border we are normally at the receiving end and ends up licking the wound. Especially after the Gulwan incident it looks like there was no retaliation for beating up the soldiers and encroaching on the land . Is China so powerful that our govt is scared to order fire on the enemy when it deliberately tries to shame the Indian Military. Yes we have increased the troops and are monitoring the situation in this sector but didn't teach a lesson for their actions.

I don't think this is the second incident after Galwan. In my opinion small skirmishes between two armies are very common and happen often. And the question arises , why India highlighted this incident. Maybe India was thinking that China is going to have some big misadventure in the region. That is why India has brought this small incident to the attention of the world. So that China cannot do any misadventure in the near future. Now China knows world is watching it closely.
Or India wants to humiliate China in front of the world.
