I agree.. it wasn't my best attempt at the interpretation of a modern house. There really wasn't many items to work with in terms of modern themes I'm afraid..
@Sammytheturtle111 personally I don't like using cheats because it sort of takes away from the game. I like maxing out my sims career levels and having them bring in large amounts of cash, then upgrade my house with it. that's just me though.
I deteled the last part to this, but like I said it wasn't much. Tomorrow I'm uploading my newest project which turned out very good. Be sure to look for it!

There is always something to do, the time goes very fast :s (on normal play, though) when he's back from work there isn't many time to eat or even to do something else because it's already fast 22 o'clock and he must go to bed otherwise he would be tired the next day .. :( I wish i could run the game in our time-mode .. with seconds instead of minutes :)
Just write books when there isn't much to do. You don't need to get the Journalism career. Just get level 10 writing. I think you need to write like 10 drama books or something to begin writing master pieces.

This house is ok but it's not that modern. First a lot of the items you used are like country and farmhouse styles, I watch HGTV a lot so I think I know modern. You did a ok job though
