Dark, dark, glowing embers, fueled by a dance into a firestorm, turning into ritualistic frenzy in a flash. In the fast part Scriabin uses a very descriptive French word "désordonné" that is best transcribed by music itself. Almost exact contemporary of Stravinsky Le sacre du printemps ( 1913-1914) this piece evokes the same primordial, pagan notions - in a span of mere two minutes.
Today is 150 years since birth of A. Scriabin, one of the greatest Russian composers!

Nemtin quotes this in his rendering of the Mysterium, so it always hits me really hard. Masterful performance. I hope you play more of Scriabin's later works.

Ravel's Bolero with your son playing the drums, Berceuse Dolly Suite when your son is more advanced on the piano, or even a live concert version of the Tchaikovsky Overture and have your son surprise the audience by popping all the balloons. It reminds me Rachmaninov´s piano sonata 2 at some bars. It sounds almosts like a Rachmaninov piece but with Scriabin style...........
Rachmaninoff was influenced by Scriabin. Scriabin was kind of influenced by Chopin but was more or so just himself and original all his life. He's the best.
