  • @bjornh1527
    @bjornh1527 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    It´s not for me, but a handful of the games caught my interest. O´Leary´s Mine seems like an interesting Bounder Dash-like experience with the running water. Henry´s House has charming graphics. M.U.L.E. and Berzerk are both good games, I don´t know if the Atari computer versions are regarded as good versions or not. A few manage to impress with their pseudo 3D graphics like Capture the Flag and Star Raiders II.

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's probably a good suggestion.. Im not sure some of these are the best versions of these games either. Such as Centipede.. these games are certainly old. Definitely won't appeal to all.

    • @bjornh1527
      @bjornh1527 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don´t mind games showing their age, but I´m mostly interested in format exclusive games. Since the likes of Centipede, (Bruce) Lee and Boulder Dash are readily available elsewhere I find this less exciting.

    Even though I watch TH-cam gamer channels and read tech mags; there’s nothing really which would go out and make me buy it. I don’t play games now, so it would have to be super good to buy. Compared to other 8 bit machines, like the Master System and NES, the graphics look basic.

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Even though its also an 8 bit machine, for sure a lot of the early games look inferior to similar 8 bit machines of the mid to late 80s. Though it was it seems as good as anything around at that time 8 bit wise.

  • @johneygd
    @johneygd 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Needless to say but i don’t care about most of those games,many of them don’t really show the capabilities of the system or just aren’t impressive,
    To me it’s just an absolute shame that theres no pac man or ms pacman on it,no pole position etc,,,
    Now while it is understandible that both popeye,mariobros and duck roggers etc,,, just can’t be on that system due licensing issues with it,but still i found it very bismal that those other games just aren’t on there,yes you can install you own games on it,,but still,,,,
    To me it’s just not attractive,am glad i already own the original system just recently along with cool games for it and am fine with it,i also got already the atari 2600 flashback and atari 7800 and the portible atari 2600 mini etc,,, so am already happy with those classic mini systems😁

      @@1invag It fully deserves its release. For its time it was the best around. It was available in many stores including Laskys and Silica Shop. It had many magazines available in Whsmiths including Atari User and it featured frequently in Computer and Video games magazine, Ace magazine many others. In many areas it bettered the C64. I agree with you because to me it’s an utter shame that theres no pac man or pole position on it,no dig dug,no basic in case you want to program your own stuff on it,no usb on the side in order to make it just feel more offentic,what a joke that atari chosed those games considering that those included games didn’t make the atari 400 became so successful as it eventually did with those other games,did they??

      @@1invag its sad to hear that many people haven't heard about Jay Miner's first machine which set the industry's standards (co processors, large color palette, multi sound channels, svideo, screen saver , usb like connection etc etc).
      The atari homebrew community is the third most active right behind Speccy with a huge library and impressive homebrew games that beat other ports across all 8bit platforms. Everyone , out of respect should own an original series of the platform.
