Why do Steam sound systems NEVER sound ANYTHING like the real locomotive they are fitted in ? Further the "puffing" sound is not syncronised with the cylinders !!! A totally useless and expensive "Gimmick", which to an ex Shed Master like me, is just childish irritating stupidity !!!!
Hi sorry for taking so long to respond I have been thinking about how to answer this question. I think there are a few things first is scale as when we view model we are much further away from them so we are hearing the sound louder than it should be. Secondly we have no background sounds so it sounds out of place and as you said the sound is out of sync. For me the sound is good enough
