Not quite haha I clickbaited the title a bit so it got pushed out further but it’s not a true straight pipe at all really. It’s just a muffler delete with aftermarket tips! We left all the resonators and the catalytic converter alone!
Hey so the 2019 when u put it in sport mode it gets louder if I do that muffler delete will it be even louder? What does the sport modes control the ressinatores or the muffler
When we deleted the muffler sport mode didn’t seem to make much of a difference in sound it all sounded the same between all the different modes. It may vary slightly but it’s not much of a difference
Today I did the muffler delete and my camaro didn't sound like that 😒 i feel like I’m driving a Honda Civic, I’m not happy. Do I need to buy the tips too? What do you recommend.
Depending on your generation/trim level of Camaro it could sound different. This is a 6th gen Camaro RS 2LT, any other generations will sound different, the 6th gen RS 1LT should sound similar to this.
Penny Albritton Being that 2019 introduced Gen 7 of the Camaro I honestly have no idea if it will sound the same I would recommend trying to find a video on that generation, 2019 and onward
@@ZEN5OH Its not 7th Gen. Just a 6th Gen refresh. The 6th Gen run ends in 2023 and GM stated the 7th Gen is delayed indefinitely. So we may or may not see a 7th Gen follow up

Heyo, I'm working with Tyler and Josh at this exact shop in Orlando. Can I please ask exactly what your friend had done? Did he get new resonators and muffler delete or just a straight muffler delete? I have a 2017 Camaro 3.6 litre V6 LGX Motor. Doing the work soon, just looking for the best and loudest sound.
Nope just a straight muffler delete, the OEM Resonators were left untouched. I believe removing those makes the sound super raspy and higher-pitched and just annoying. He has the RS 2LT, I'm not sure if you have the 1LT or not but the sound may vary just a little between the two even though they are both the RS models. He also replaced the stock tips with just regular aftermarket black quad tips. So essentially just cut out the muffler back and put stainless steel piping out to the new tips.
No, they were actually put on right, we told the owner of the shop that we wanted the tips to stick out a little further than factory! And yeah it's not an SS but it can be deceiving but were not trying to look like one! Just make the car unique, look clean and sound good!
@@ZEN5OH I understand exactly what you mean. Mine sounds like a monster everyone thinks it is a SS how it sounds but nope It's a RS 💪🏽 I did a resonator delete and muffler delete and added quad tips
@@arcticblue2ss471 What is the point in these comments my dude, he's just saying what other people have thought about his car. Some people with no knowledge of these cars might think that but most won't obviously. What gives?
OK. so I Have a 2011 2LT Bumblebee Camaro. I just remove the old muffler and put a straight pipe in there and get black tips, is that right? Is this legal not to have a muffler ?
You can do it and depending on where you live it may effect your emissions testing but since your model is the 2011 it’ll sound a little different than this one does if you do that
How did you get the throaty sound? I had a 2010 Camaro RS and did a rear muffler delete and while it did sound awesome, it was a little raspy. However, yours does not. Did you do a muffler and resonator delete? Also, what size pipping did you use?
All it was is a muffler delete and we left the stock resonators on it! The piping I believe is either 3 inch or 2 and a half and the reason it sounds different is because yours is the previous generation Camaro
Yoel11 I’m not sure being that you have the 7th Generation Camaro and this was the sixth generation, if they didn’t changed the engine or anything like that between generations it’ll probably sound similar but I would recommend looking for videos of your specific generation being 2019 and newer
Liam Zenoh to sound like that and only did a muffler delete 👌🏾. Would it be too much to do both x pipe and muffler delete?? Or only the delete would be enough?
Metro Speed 704 I’m not sure with an added x pipe on the V6 it might make the tone higher pitched or even more raspy at higher RPMs if you’re going for just loud then yeah!
I have the exact same car year and everything. Stock dual exhaust how much did it cost to straight pipe it? I want mine to sound exactly like this it’s sounds great
I'm not sure, if your car came with dual tips from the factory probably not because I believe the rear diffuser is bigger and won't fit quads. If it came with quad tips from the factors you might have check to make sure the piping size matches with the size of your current size and you'll be good.
AndrewNiccals yeah if you want to add quad tips it’s definitely possible! Modification of the bumper/rear diffuser may be necessary to fit them though so I would talk to the exhaust shop about options like that!
I did a muffler delete but the guys didnt tell me what kit it was and I read somewhere online that a muffler delete can cause the engine to fail. Should i be scared??????
Richard Skipper Yeah that’s true it makes sense the larger they are it can amplify and the smaller they are there is less room for air to flow therefore it’ll be higher pitched! I personally think around 3 inches is probably a good sound for most modified exhausts
A that sounds great I just bought my 2020 1LE With 335 Horsepower 3.6L engine. Do you think it would sound any better with these black tips or would it not make a difference?
The black tips shouldn’t really change the sound much at all it’s mostly for aesthetic purposes! Since the 2020 is the generation after this I honestly don’t know if it will sound exactly the same but it’ll sound probably pretty similar

@@ZEN5OH agreed 😂
Did his check engine light ever come on? I wanna do that to mine and i already have a cold air intake so the sound would be crazy
Nope! It's been now over 2 years since this was done and he hasn't had a problem with the car nor the check engine light come on once yet!
I'm getting a 2017 1LT Rs Camaro and I'm wondering if the black tips would work on it as well?
Those tips won't fit the 1LT option Camaros, you'll need a different rear diffuser. The 2LT which is in this video comes stock with quad tips so they fit this one!
What tips did he get? Sounds awesome!!
They’re linked in the description!
Damn these v6’s are actually not that bad... 👍🏼👍🏼
Yeah these newer V6s have surprised me and tons of others, there pretty quick and sound decent, not quite the V8 level of course but it makes ownership of one of these cars way more enjoyable! I hope I can actually get one at some point to upgrade from the Charger!
I have the same Camaro and I want it to sound like that can you let me know what parts is needed? Just the tips or the whole exhaust system?
Just tips and tell the exhaust shop you want to do a muffler delete!
@@ZEN5OH what brand are those tips
Penny Albritton red tail performance black tips
I bought my 2018 rs a few months ago... people never believe it's a v6 afterwards 🤣

@@arcticblue2ss471 Yeah just a lil bit haha but I'm trying to help people out with these kinds of cars. Mind letting me make a video on your V8 exhaust for my channel, would help some owners who have those too!

@@arcticblue2ss471 Nice man! Interested to see how those will sound, is it a tough install process getting those headers to fit? I’ve heard the stock manifold is not fun for a header install on these cars but I really don’t have much knowledge on Camaros personally!
@@arcticblue2ss471 That’s super sick dude! I’m sure it still sounds awesome unfortunately I don’t get to hear cars like that all the time because of the college life and work and other factors, also trying to learn more about what can be done! Shoot me some exhaust clips if you can!
Hi, do you know if muffler delete causes droning?
I want to do a muffler delete as well, I have the same RS with NPP exhaust.
Not too bad if you turn up the music you won't hear it until you get on it.
Carlos Benitez Perfect explanation thanks man!
OK I need some clarification. So when you say straight pipe. I assume the front main resonators are still on? The middle ones are gone? and obviously the mufflers are gone? The only resonators you still have one are the front ones? everything else is gone? thx
Not quite haha I clickbaited the title a bit so it got pushed out further but it’s not a true straight pipe at all really. It’s just a muffler delete with aftermarket tips! We left all the resonators and the catalytic converter alone!
We only got the rear suitcase muffler removed as well as the stock exhaust tips, just replaced it with stainless steel piping!
@@ZEN5OH interesting. it sounds really good for just having the mufflers deleted. nice!
@@LEGENDARYTACTICALTECH thanks man! 💪🏻
Where did he order his exhaust tips from ?
Link in the description!
Where did you get your black tips from?
There should be a link to them in the description!
It’s only muffler delete?
Where did you guys buy the rear bumper diffuser from?
It came stock on the car, his is a RS 2LT they come with that diffuser and quad tips from factory the 1LT option doesn’t
So all he did was straight pipe it and install the tips on there ? It doesn’t cause any light to go on the dash board?
Nope had no problems almost a year later and no lights or anything
Liam Zenoh does it pop?
so......what is the exact exhaust set up for the v6 camaro?
Do you have any drone from the inside?? I have a camaro 2015 rs but is convertible.
Not any noticeable bad drone! There is acceleration noise of course as the engine revs up but just cruising with radio on it’s not bad!
How is the drone inside the car is it loud
You can definitely hear it from the inside but we love listening to our cars so we don’t mind it!
todd melvin That’s what an aftermarket stereo system is for
Does it still have resonators ?
Yes, it still has resonators and the catalytic converter, we only removed the stock muffler and tips!
@@ZEN5OH I got a 2019 2Lt mine got the single pipes. U think itll sound as good
Penny Albritton Being that 2019 introduced Gen 7 of the Camaro I honestly have no idea if it will sound the same I would recommend trying to find a video on that generation, 2019 and onward
@@ZEN5OH Its not 7th Gen. Just a 6th Gen refresh. The 6th Gen run ends in 2023 and GM stated the 7th Gen is delayed indefinitely. So we may or may not see a 7th Gen follow up
Cirux321 oh that’s my bad I had no idea I just assumed the new ones were called 7th gen not a 6th gen refresh, thanks for letting me know I’ve been saying that wrong for awhile. I just had no idea haha
How long did it take for the delivery of the pipes tips?
What did u get done to it!!!
What type of tips are those
I’m getting these. For the quantity, do I order 1 or 2?
Just curious. Does it affect the mpg you get? If so what do you get? I want mine to sound like that but its a daily and I drive a lot.
It does but it’s nothing major. Only like 3-10 horsepower.
Tips only stick out like that cuz they put them on backwards I did the same on mine tho so ppl didn't try to say I'm trying to make it be a SS 😂
@@Corymo_ Nice man! Thats so sick, I'm curios to hear how it sounds without resonators too! Mind sending me a clip on my Instagram! @LiamZenoh

Pretty much deleted the muffler that’s all
Where’d you get that exhaust
You guys at USF? 😎
Prob UCF those were shot on East Colonial and Alafaya Trail in Orlando, minutes from campus haha
Ryan Mauzer Yeah these were by UCF but we both used to live in Tampa near USF
So wait was it just a muffler delete with the black tips or was it straight piped with black tips
I have a 2017 RS and wanted to do something to the exhaust
I just brought a 2020 SS that sound almost like a v8
Did he get any check engine lights or any lights after ?
Does the check engine light come on?
Nope no lights been over a year!
Did you guys do this at UT?
Nah he actually used to go there but this was done in Orlando at UCF
Nice, I thought I saw a UT sticker. I used to go there too. Car sounds great tho. I want a 6th gen camaro so bad.
Danny Bub oh yeah my buddy who owns the Camaro used to go to UT but he transferred to a different college!
OK. so I Have a 2011 2LT Bumblebee Camaro. I just remove the old muffler and put a straight pipe in there and get black tips, is that right? Is this legal not to have a muffler ?
You can do it and depending on where you live it may effect your emissions testing but since your model is the 2011 it’ll sound a little different than this one does if you do that
It's not a straight pipe if you still have the resonator and all four cats still on.
Yeah titled it that on purpose
savage 069 not quite just good enough to grab someone’s attention to watch it without it being completely untrue
Knicker Bocker i have mines muffler delete and resonator delete dont wana mess with the cats right now
What kind of Exhaust is on that V6 Camaro?!?!?
Just a muffler delete with aftermarket tips
What set up is your exhaust
Muffler delete
How did you get the throaty sound? I had a 2010 Camaro RS and did a rear muffler delete and while it did sound awesome, it was a little raspy. However, yours does not. Did you do a muffler and resonator delete? Also, what size pipping did you use?
All it was is a muffler delete and we left the stock resonators on it! The piping I believe is either 3 inch or 2 and a half and the reason it sounds different is because yours is the previous generation Camaro
Liam Zenoh hey Liam I have a 2020 camaro rs if I just take mufflers and leave resonators it will sound just like yours right ?
Yoel11 I’m not sure being that you have the 7th Generation Camaro and this was the sixth generation, if they didn’t changed the engine or anything like that between generations it’ll probably sound similar but I would recommend looking for videos of your specific generation being 2019 and newer
Got a question. Did you x-pipe and straight pipe or just only straight pipe??
All it is is a muffler delete
Liam Zenoh to sound like that and only did a muffler delete 👌🏾. Would it be too much to do both x pipe and muffler delete?? Or only the delete would be enough?
Metro Speed 704 I’m not sure with an added x pipe on the V6 it might make the tone higher pitched or even more raspy at higher RPMs if you’re going for just loud then yeah!
I need to know this setup 😳😳😳 please please please
Muffler delete with aftermarket exhaust tips!
I have the exact same car year and everything. Stock dual exhaust how much did it cost to straight pipe it? I want mine to sound exactly like this it’s sounds great
We pretty much just did a muffler delete, it wasn't a true straight pipe but it was only around $200 overall and we bought aftermarket tips anyways!
Are those tips gonna fit a 14 Camaro? They look great
I'm not sure, if your car came with dual tips from the factory probably not because I believe the rear diffuser is bigger and won't fit quads. If it came with quad tips from the factors you might have check to make sure the piping size matches with the size of your current size and you'll be good.
@@ZEN5OH damn mine has dual tips... I'm gonna see what I can do, thanks!
AndrewNiccals yeah if you want to add quad tips it’s definitely possible! Modification of the bumper/rear diffuser may be necessary to fit them though so I would talk to the exhaust shop about options like that!
Does dual tips fit with oem rear diffuser
I got a 2019 rs I want mine to sound like that it sound good now but what you do to yours
Its pretty much just a muffler delete!
Liam Zenoh cool right on bro🙏🏼
Did he get a check engine light after doing this? and if so did it go away?
No check engine light and over a year later no problems since and no engine light has come on!
Liam Zenoh is he running true duals with a muffler delete?
Does he took out the x pipe too?
Nope just the original muffler and tips!
Will a muffler deleted void my Camaro warranty ?
Only the muffler warranty I believe not the warranty of the entire car
I know UCF when I see it
yessirrr
Is it stick pipes??
Nice in orlando on semoran. My brother in law is looking to get his 18 exhaust changed..whats ur set up
What size pipes did they put on?
I believe probably two inches

Muffler Delete
What the setup
I did a muffler delete but the guys didnt tell me what kit it was and I read somewhere online that a muffler delete can cause the engine to fail. Should i be scared??????
No ur fine it’s just a muffler .
What exhaust kit you use
Does it popcorn when u rev or downshift
It does!
Do you think it would sound the same with dual tips? I don’t have NPP and just curious. Dope sound btw!!
Dual tips shouldn't change the sound much and definitely not in a bad way!
Richard Skipper Yeah that’s true it makes sense the larger they are it can amplify and the smaller they are there is less room for air to flow therefore it’ll be higher pitched! I personally think around 3 inches is probably a good sound for most modified exhausts
Richard Skipper That would be sick if you could get a video somehow or even buy it off him! Thing sounds like it would sound really good!
Richard Skipper Did you get a video?
@LF X I just saw this now I'm extremely sad and feel bad for the man and he probably hasn't seen his car he loved in a long time now :(
Yo I can get a 2016 or 2017 Camaro for my first car after sophomore year you got any driving tips is it hard to control ?
Nah as long as your tires aren’t worn out you should be able to control it no problem! You don’t have to send it everywhere you go so I wouldn’t worry
Insipered I have a 2015 2LT

Hey bro how much did it cost the whole thing?
Just around $100 for the labor and around $100 for the tips so near $200 give or takeish
