I 'd like to know more as we are trying to build a small cabin up McNeil Canyon with views of Lake Chelan. I grew up in this area and went to school in Waterville. lol
Years ago I designed a place built on pilings on the shore of Puget Sound and put a raised tub in the kitchen cuzz the owner wanted to bath with wine and music while visiting with his wife as she cooked dinner. People thought it was quite odd. In that late 60's design, I incorporated a lot of unique details, some of which I have seen others do in the past fifty-plus years but not the tub until now. As a side note, i grew up north of Entiat in the Okanogan Valley on an apple orchard. Still love that country and the call(s) of the Magpies and the scream of the Night Hawks, and the smell of Pine and Sage. Winters back then were epic, summer heat in the triple digits. The weather is milder now. Snow doesn't drift over the houses and the afternoon respite from the heat at the river or a mud hole is probably still enjoyed by kids today taking a break from hot farm work. Love the design, but even a 4X with chains all around and traction diffs might not get you onsite in the winter, and where is the wood stove? Daytime winter solar will probably suffice, but nighttime, especially with no mass thermal storage of solar heat could be an issue especially during a power failure unless propane is the heat source. The covered cowled back porch is a sensible integrated feature so kudos on that practical design detail.

Wow is this ever a contender for number one! The single ponderosa really does it for talk about icing on the cake what an amazing space this is! At the moment I don't have a need to go to Washington but wow I think I need to come up with an excuse! This Airbnb ranks right up there with that black a frame with the outdoor shower in Ohio just absolutely stunning! Thank you for all you do
Wow - stunning views!! Love love love the windows. And both swings! Washington state is truly gorgeous. Not a fan of this particular open concept - a bit too open for me (even with my husband). I'd do this as a solo trip though!

The views are beyond stunning, and the tiny house is super sleek but I would spend the entire time stressing about a land slide taking us to sea level in the night 😆🥶🥶

This is somewhere I'd truly like to see one day, since that surrounding scenery, hiking trails and nearby quaint towns would be a fantastic get away! My only comment is can a screen of some sort, or drape/ wide blinds, or even a typical wall & door separate the shower/ bath area? I LOVE the bathtub & would certainly want to use it, but I wouldn't come here alone & would like a wee bit of privacy in that area. But love the swings, especially under the deck! Would you also consider a hammock? Thanks for another great video with epic soundtrack at the beginning to match this place😀👍
Maybe -- but I think land should be cheaper or free if you are committed to developing it. The real racket is forcing you to buy wide open land from some real estate agent and pay a bunch of tax when the native people had all of this land. Now I have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to have a piece of untouched land?
It is a beautiful, dramatic area. You didn't talk about air conditioning or heat. It is very hot in this area in summer. Cold in winter. While Waterville may be close, Chelan and Wenatchee will probably be where you go for groceries or entertainment.
@@sallycrawford2729 I know the windows bud They’re not a complete mirror finish. When you’re close or in shadow, you can see through them. Especially at night when the light in the toilet is on, it’s completely transparent from the outside.
