Emma Nagle visits Ballydoyle to get updates on Aidan O’Brien’s Irish Champions Festival team. Aidan also discusses City Of Troy’s Breeders Cup Classic preparations
Auguste is such a beautiful looking animal. I hope he can turn back the clock and win at least one more big race this season. I wouldnt be writing him off yet. Not the way he can travel when he's on song
Not. Winning a Triple Crown in the US is a huge deal. Only 13 horses have done so in over a hundred years. And his progeny will be as great as he is. Did you know Galileo had an American sire? That's why he was great!
I have to disagree slightly with Mr. O'Brien, Sierra Leone enjoys the kickback, shows what a tough colt he is. More of a 12f horse, but all his naysayers and critics can't point to a bad race. If the pace is really hot, he could be there to finally win a race after so many place & shows.
I'm not sure about liking it, I think like many good dirt horses, he deals with it well, I just think that Coolmore might have got a little lucky as it appears to be something of a substandard over in America this season.
@@Thomas-vg8ov yes and no. There is no clear cut, dominant horse but there are a bunch of really good ones. So it might not be a top heavy BC Classic, it will be a deep one with many chances.
@@Evocati2008 They might be decent? But as you say, there's no stand out in the three year olds, they just seem to be beating each other, Sierra Leone isn't necessarily bad but he always seems to find one just a little better on the day and the older horses don't really look up to that much either.
@@Thomas-vg8ov SL screams for 12Fs, and unfortunately not alot of mile and half races that are G1s in the US. The Belmont was shortened this year. The older divisions will continue to diminish due to short careers. Breeding has over taken racing it seems, another topic all together.
Love old Aiden but repeating that justify is Galileo with class is ridiculous, keeps repeating it, I guess they need to have another great stud horse, so Justify is the call from the lads, Galileo fantastic sire, so Frankel wasn’t top class? Aiden,

Could he have a kickback fetish ? If so he’s not the punters pal
