I do love this song, it's one of my favorites from the game. Just the way it plays right after the genie destroys your village but the fairy king informs you there is hope yet to save your village and half the world, showing you a butterfly on a flower fluttering its wings and then flying away... it is the quintessence of hope for me. This song represents hope for me. It always puts me in a good mood. The light and airy wind instruments in this piece match well with the game's desert starting setting, and the high soaring notes lift my spirit up with them.

Its a real shame this is used so rarely. I think it was in the PS2 demo disk but in the main game it only played at the very very start before you entered the Divine Beast Cave for the first time.

only rivaled by jak and daxter and ratchet and clank. only games id comapare to this. and i love them all so so so so so so so so much. this game tho. dark cloud will always have a special place in my heart as my fav rpg X)
Fun fact: the video about Astroworld by Defunctland uses music that sounds very similar to this. So, it's possible that both songs took inspiration from some old public domain western music.

this whole soundtrack is incredible... but when i play this game I literally stop when this theme starts and try to milk it for as long as I can every time I start to hear it...
If there will ever be a 5th (and there will be), I'm going to guess it'll be the Black Knight, since he was angry he never got an ending cutscene after his death!

they should've played this song whenever you complete the Georama requirements of each area.
