I missed this song. I'm playing Dark Cloud again for the first time in 15 years, I open the door to the moon factory and I remember how much I love this track, how striking it is. How I'd just let myself sink into this in the factory and forget what I was doing...
Beautiful track, it reminds me of Final Fantasy X Mount Gagazet. I played both Dark Cloud and FFX back in 2002, that was one hell of a year for me as a PS2 new owner. Nostalgia is strong in this one.
I was 10 years old when I first heard this track. Hearing this again rekindles some of those memories of the good old days of childhood when you didn't have to worry about work, bills, contracts. E.t.c, and would laugh at the "grown ups". Am 31 now. Edit: Obviously my favorite dark cloud track. This song has a kind of a intriguing, yet bit of an eerie vibe to it.
Dark Cloud sure had an epic soundtrack including this, the king's curse, La Saia's theme, the opening theme, gallery of time, muska racka, and many others.
Master Nelson It just didn't interest me for some reason. The inventing was too hard, or I didn't know how to do it at least, and I didn't really like the characters or story. If they ever made another one, I'd probably still check it out though since dark cloud is one of my favorite rpgs.
I miss when games had both thought and good music backing them, and a storyline that didn't mirror the society it was in. They used to tell us stories of mystical worlds and places that were like, and yet unlike *our own.
I know what you mean, back in the day the stories that we saw in games were mystical and took place on fictional planets, now every story I see in games is set either in an alternate version of earth, or one of the other planets in our solar system, and it's already gotten really stale, it also goes to show that writers these days are unoriginal.
I shame myself saying this, but I never got past the desert area in this game.... but what I did play I loved... This song is hauntingly amazing. Almost makes me wanna pick up the game again.... almost meaning "like really wants to".
OKAY TH-cam HAVE IT YOUR FUCKING WAY. TEMPTING ME WITH ALL OF THESE DARK CLOUD VIDEOS I AM BREAKING OUT THE PS2 AND IM PLAYING AGAIN RIGHT NOW. NONE OF YOU TRY AND STOP ME THIS IS HAPPENING.
Dark cloud music is one of the most therapeutic remedies in all of the universe
I agree
nothing else has come close, it was a privilege to be born in time to play this game

This track alone makes be want too play the game again. I loved building the towns piece by piece.
Edit: Playing it now and loving it still.
Deranged Letters I don't blame you I love this game too. My favorite part is the sun and moon temple, the moon sea and fighting the dark genie.
This is one of the only games I started many times and finished more than once. Even got the Platinum trophy to show my love for the game.
Seriously my favorite from this soundtrack... I use to pause my game for what seemed like hours just to listen to this track.

They are a great pair to have started off the PS2 with. I am glad both games are available on PS4. :')

Such a masterpiece, in every way possible...

Thanks dark cloud this song goes to all airplane pilots first officers crew members staff and passengers. Be all safe.
The thing that makes this track special is that it manages to be relaxing yet gives off near the end vibes.

I was the punk that decided to sit Toan right in the middle of the Factory and just leave the game rolling so I could listen for like...an hour :)
The most relaxing theme for this game.
It's been 17 years since I played this part of the game. Good times.

This music makes you think of the journey that a what's you and the thing that have happened in the past of your journey. Rateing 5/5 STARS.

I shame myself saying this, but I never got past the desert area in this game.... but what I did play I loved... This song is hauntingly amazing. Almost makes me wanna pick up the game again.... almost meaning "like really wants to".

I don't know why but for some reason this song just kind of reminds me of a funeral just it kind of gives me that feeling of somebody mourning loss
I just bought this game because I knew it was good.
Right I was.
YOU HAD BETTER FRICKIN MEAN THAT BRO.
someone tell Level-5 that they need to get up off their asses and make DC3
Can anyone tell me what that high instrument that starts playing at around 0:14 is supposed to be? or is it just a synthesized violin?
I think it's a violin
We would even like a ps3 remake. PREASE!
This song is all about being taken away to a different planet that is inhabited by our favorite songs as if life happened in the fabrication of songs.
