When I first found out I was pregnant, I planned to thrift all the clothes for my little one. After announcing we’re having a girl, a buddy of my boyfriend (who has a little girl at home) ended up giving us 4 boxes of clothes from NB/preemie up to 2 year. Sure, some pieces may be a little tacky and not necessarily what I’d dress my daughter in, but I am so blessed that I haven’t needed to spend a single cent on clothing! Thrifting/second hand is the way to go. You definitely had some awesome finds. Great video, as per usual! Love from Quebec✨

Love this!!! With my first baby I was able to get EVERYTHING for her for $100. I’m talking stroller, crib, clothes.. everything she needed from a local thrift shop. They held a quarter sale where everything was only 25 cents including large items. So thankful for places like this ☺️🙏🏽

A tip someone taught me for storing baby clothes is using vacuum seal bags and storing them by size (with a label)! They will all be so compact to fit in a storage bin and if you have more children you just go pull out the size bag you need!!

My best friend had her second child two months ago, and her advice for my future baby was "Onesies for the first month or two if you need to give yourself some extra grace, Baby will not care if you can't provide 'outfits' in the beginning" and I thought I'd share for anyone who might need to give themselves a little extra grace xx

Omg, dye the muslin wrap with onion skins! They make such a pretty soft rusty brown, and it's super easy to do. Just keep your onion skins until you have a decent amount, boil them on the stove until you get a great colour, strain out skins, and add your garments to the dye bath for as long as you like. Rinse, wash, and your done! Plus, it makes your kitchen smell like French onion soup 😂

Honestly, I'm in my first pregnancy. Just hitting the third trimester. I loved her videos before pregnancy, but some of these little comments get to me. I'm glad to see it's not just me. I had just found out we were expecting when their finding out video was posted. That video crushed me because of how many times it was mentioned that they only tried once. My husband and I are mid twenties and did a year of really trying and treatments before it happened for us. It took me two years before I could even get medically cleared to try for a baby.
Sorry for the long ramble, I just appreciate you verifying that how I'm feeling isn't just hormones.

My baby is 1 1/2, and I just now started dressing him in some thin and fairly soft jeans so he can play more rough outside in the sand and grass and such. I've thrifted (or rather bought used bundles) baby clothes before, and always HAD jeans for his size, just never reached for them or used them.

Same in the Czech republic. I think that people in Europe in general use their stuff to the fullest, and when they are done, it is no longer usable for someone else. At least that’s how it is in my social bubble. We have trift stores, but they are not very nice places, a lot of weird smells, not so nice clothes, no furniture 🙁. You need to go searching on on-line bazaars for nice things.

Where I live, I often find that I can purchase brand new baby clothes for much cheaper during online sales and just purchasing a small capsule wardrobe (if you buy multi packs of onesies, pants, etc. they all tend to be cheaper and coordinate) than trying to find pieces that work together from a thrift store. If I thrift it tends to end up as a modgepodge of random things that don't really equate to a full wardrobe and I have to end up buying new anyway.

Man the prices you got are insane. Even at thrift shops here a pair of pants is 1.99! I wish I could get them for fifty cents!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I wish we could thrift in South Africa! We still only starting to get into the thrifting thing, so the clothes collection in our thrift stores is super tiny!

I love your taste in baby clothes. Great deals too! I've been trying to thrift for years but I am very modest (which as a teen is rare) and thus have particular preferences.

You could also always throw the white cotton/linen fabric in a bath of diluted bleach to get stains out.

It’s good that she knows her babies run small. I was a 10lb newborn. I never fit into all the “newborn” clothes my mom bought lol

Have you tried leaving stuff out in full sunshine to remove stains, it works so well. The sunshine also sanitizes.
