I'm not even a Sone but I do understand how important are SNSD to Kpop. When I met kpop (through Super Junior) Girl's Generation were promoting 'Gee' and although it's not my type of music (cuteness overload) it was so catchy that I kept singing all day haha ♥ They're real queens ♥

I’m crazy over suju back in the day and through Suju I discover SNSD but GEE is not my cup of tea until they release The Boys and i become hardcore SONE😂 Then i discover Big Bang then stan for both group. And now after 10 years i stan BTS and blackpink but GG AND BB still my ultimate group above everyone.
I felt sorry for Suju because I abandon them now because their music is not my cup of tea anymore🥺

I Got a Boy won the award for Video of the Year at the first TH-cam music award in 2013 beating other popular nominees like Justin Bieber and Psy. So when the girl says "Don't Stop, Let's bring it back to 140" not only does the song go back to 140 BPM, but also to 1:40 in the song (Without the MV intro)
The girl with the blue hair is the same one from the Lil' Touch MV you said was going to give you trouble. She's also the one with the short Blonde hair from the The Boys MV. In this MV she changed her hair 3 times... blue, pink then purple.

While this wasn't the song that got me into K-pop this was the first hyped comeback of a K-pop group I had got into after I had discovered it. I remember how cool all the hyping of their comeback was for this song. Also, I remember how many of us were just as confused as Dezzy at first as it was so different. It took a couple listens to really appreciate what an incredible song it was because there was so much going on in it.

This MV won the Biggest award at the very FIRST TH-cam AWARD for Video of the Year... they were up again Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and many more big names in music. It caused a huge controversy with the other nominees fanbases because people were like who are they and how could they win over such big names. Not knowing they were the Biggest thing out of Asia.
They started the experimental sound in K-Pop. IGAB was the first song of its kind. A mash-up of different genres, sudden transitions and combinations that usually wouldn't be done. After this song, so many different K-Pop artists started incorporating such a composition style in their songs. It calls for much more fun and interesting songs since it keeps the audience constantly engaged.
To summarise: Girls' Generation created the platform for a lot of modern K-Pop songs, legendary behaviour.
I highly suggest. SNSD - Party, Lion Heart, Gee, Hoot, Run Devil Run.
Back then 2ne1 and SNSD were the biggest girl group rivals. I'm a blackjack but I also like GG both groups have their own style. And most girl groups concept nowadays I can say were based on these 2 groups.

From what I remember: at the time the group was having some fear of being "pigeon holed".
The girls wanted to show just what they where capable of and so we got this eclectic masterpiece. They showed power, sex appeal, range, and style in a way that cemented them as one of Kpop's biggest presences. We are STILL admiring this 5 minutes of perfection 7 years later. Respect.

this type of song called *Hybrid song.* SM try this kind of song for the first time to Shinee when they released "Sherlock". Sherlock consists of 2 songs. Clue + Note. In their album you can find a song titled Clue and another song titled Note. Combine those two songs and you'll got "Sherlock". After Sherlock became a hit, SM use this kind of song more often. And this term came from SM. They actually called it "Hybrid Song"
