We're checking out Girls Generation (SNSD) for the first time. We're going to be watching SNSD 'I Got a Boy', 'You Think'. We're also taking a look at Red Velvet Wendy 'Written In The Stars' MV. Red Velvet (Korean: 레드벨벳) is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by SM Entertainment. They originally debuted on August 1, 2014 with the digital single "Happiness" with the four-member line-up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. The fifth member, Yeri, joined the group in March 2015, following their first major release, Ice Cream Cake. Musically, the work of Red Velvet reflects their own group name: their predominantly-pop "red" side experiments occasionally with electronic, funk and hip hop, while their "velvet" side focuses on '90s-influenced R&B with elements of ballad and jazz.
Girls' Generation (Korean: 소녀시대; RR: Sonyeo Sidae), also known as SNSD, is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment. Anyway when SNSD debuted they only have dance line and vocal line, so props to the members because they just follow the flow and take the challenge to rap even though none of them were rapper in the first place

SNSD is also a vocally capable group 5/9 are excellent vocalist and 4/9 are dancers who can be lead vocalist material. their main vocalist taeyeon is KPOP's blue print for what a main vocalist should be and she's highly respected by red velvet most especially by wendy.
There is an iconic performance of SNSD "I Got a Boy" at their 2013 Dream concert ... think it was 2013 but the crowd was so loud singing along you couldn't even hear the girls. Goosebumps every time.

I applaud you for doing IGAB for your first listen. It was a massive hit, but it put a lot of the Kpop world on it's ear, as *nobody* knew what to make of it at the time.
Main vocalist Taeyeon is the only one who still releases music on a regular basis, but she's grown into a wildly successful solo artist in her own right.
The other girls are also successful but in dramas hahaha they’re everywhere now..Taeyeon is the most successful and indusputed soloist from a GG with a huge fanbase and public recognition, no one else came close…
Written in the stars was an iconic collab (even with nil promotions from SM due to it being an SM station song) ... I will forever be listening to this song and feel satisfied with those godly vocals !

I got a boy is like the bohemian rapsody of kpop, because you dont know what is the next melody ia gking to be. It's just so good that you don't know what to expect! Like zimzalabim where there are switches of beats and rhythms. I got a boy and zimzalabim (also cherry bomb by nct 127) are the songs that is like has a 5 songs placed in one song . Snsd is really that iconic group, legends! They started as 9 members but Jesica got kicked out out of the group but many of course supports her (like the members too) since she is a soloist now and one of the biggest names in korean business industry. My next request for you to check out of SNSD is THE BOYS and GENIE (TELL ME YOUR WISH) . also, check out Best Friend by Wendy and Seulgi (from wendy's like water album) and the recording behind of it, i wont say anything else regarding that video, you just have to watch it and you will not regret it. I'm sorry but "I got a boy" was a true music miracle, I loved it since the first listen. SM tried to reproduce the sound with Next Level but god knows it took me lots of time to get used to that song. I got a boy instead was masterfully done. Happiness is also one of those SM songs that somehow worked perfectly.
Girls' Generation/SNSD is the reason why I became a kpop fan and also they're the reason too why I'm loyal to SM Artist hahaha. The Blueprint of girls groups

Western songs usually dont have silence on the One. when the chorus dropped on two I was hooked. the pause on the beginning of the phrase was awesome. Like ur waiting for the next note. the anticipation. The Wait for it...! if you will. Gee is one of their biggest hits worth a look!

That's nation girl group of K-pop. Even though I love BlackPink som uch now but I still choose SNSD if I have to choose between BP and SNSD. I never get bored to listen to SNSD song. They are always my #1 girl group in K-pop.
