That's because he is tough but he ain't ignorant to reality. Being a real street guy means being ready for whatever but only doing what is necessary. Joe let's you know he ain't pussy but he's not extra with it. He acknowledges there's no success coming from beefing and that's why people gravitate towards him.

My son and I were at Benihana’s we are seated across from these two white guys; we start talking. These guys are the owners of LOUD records. Steve Rifkin is in love with Devina he wants her to win. I say people aren’t ready for her. I tell him; Big Pun is the super star. He’s like reallly, you think so? My son chimes in and co-signs. Long story short; Steve gives my son a job. I’m 45, born in 1976. Grew up in Detroit on the Eastside and came of age on the late 80s and hip hop saturated 90s.
With that said as a generation and culture (hip hop), I long for the day that we grow up mentally (especially when we’re old enough to be the parents of teenagers, adult children, and grandparents) and stop leaning so aggressively on trying to be viewed as being tougher than the next guy.
I couldn’t imagine the blue collar and work overalls wearing men (including my father) and polyester pants and dress shoes wearing older men in my neighborhood and in general who I saw as a kid carrying on as if they wore “being a tough guy” as a badge of honor.

    • @BoricuaNyc

In NYC 🗽WE all do. It started with Jay Z hit song "Jigga My Nigga"
The N words have two different spellings and meanings. I see you focus on the ER 🤔

Ironically though it’s the very large size of the hosting panel that gives a super guest like Fat Joe a greater dynamic range and headroom to share his vast experiences. A large panel is needed to help jar a guest like Crack Joe’s vast memory. And you can tell how FJ loved feeding off the different subtle questions and recollections of others on the hosting panel.

He's in his 50s and in a room surrounded by damn near all black ppl he should've been a little more respectful imo
