Try to run the screw drive with 1 cell lithium battery 18650, 2.3v in series mean 4.6v , probably it should work with 4v "1cell". Nothing to lose by trying

I think you should be able to make a spot welding machine yourself to use, you can go to youtube and type keywords (how to make a cell welder from a microwave transformer) transformer 800e you cut off the coil on the top called coil ( secondary) and the lower coil (primary) you count the number of turns of that coil from the top to about 30 turns, then take a razor to solder 1 wire into it as an input source, the other wire still takes the old wire. of it, it will turn into a transformer coil of about 130 volts.. you take about 2 ounces of 1.2mm copper wire, cut it into 16 strands, each 1 meter long and wrap tightly with heat-resistant tape, and then wrap it in the transformer 3 turns. , you measure it out to the two ends of the wire about 3 vol to 5 vol and you're done, the second step is to make a push-release switch so that when soldering you press and release quickly, you can go to websites and type words ( bta100) you buy it and supply it with 12v power supply and 2 wires to the transformer is done, 2 stitches for soldering you can take 2 copper wires about 3mm thick sharpened into a soldering head.. wish my friend success

Using laptop batteries is not the best idea simply because they are low current with max load 4-6 amp. Soldering is also not the best option you just overheat terminals which can damage cell pressure protection valve. Best option is to get batteries from vape shops or get cheap tool battery and reassemble it or order online if you can.

If you don't have a spot welding machine, just leave the old nickel strips on the battery cell so you can solder it correctly.

Soldering is also not the best option you just overheat terminals which can damage cell pressure protection valve. Best option is to get batteries from vape shops or get cheap tool battery and reassemble it or order online if you can.
