I shit you not this old youtube tutorial helped me more than my tutor in a quicker and efficient way too. I looked at a tutorial from my tutor which she taught for over an hour. I didn't have a clue and she implemented very weird blueprints. Come to this very short tutorial which does it in a few clicks. You're a hero lmao
Very very useful! Thank you. So each flipbook is an animation section right? Do i need to make an animation controller or just make the flipbooks and thats good to go as long as i keep setting the blueprint code like you did?
Would you happen to know how to go about using several 2D mouths/eyes on a 3D character in UE4 for talking animations? I can't find a standard way to go about it in my workflow. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The palm tree looks like it would have been on a windows 98 and or a Macintosh lol love it

This would've taken me hours to figure out. Thanks!
why is there a shotgun sound when you press play at the end? 6:20
Older versions of unreal would have a sound okay when you pressed the okay button.
Got here by chance, glad I did! Awesome tutorial! Thanx!

I think you could use sprite components in your character blueprint then switch between the different animations for those sprite through scripting.
im lost. where did you get the bp for the paper 2d character ?
Go to pintrest search for sprites, cut and paste the frames then select the individually as he said it works I'm telling you

I don't know if you'll still see this, but, after creating the flip book, can I delete the frames and/or original images from Unreal?
I dont believe you can
@@MegaBcoyle OK, thanks man

Thanks, this was really useful!!
awesome ! loved that is extremely short to the point !
is there a limit to number of spritestates ? could you do 256 poses ?
I'm not sure, I would say there is if it doesn't get into memory limits.
What size are you suppose to safe the character sprites?
I wouldn't say there is a safe size, depends on the screen resolution and platform you are developing for i suppose.
how to jump ?
