This might be the weird aspect to like given the amount of awesome and beautiful features, but I really like the leatherwork, especially the inlaid bits in the dash and console.
Ah so many comments - change this or you should have done that , what they should be saying is congratulations and well done ! You have made this car into something that excites many and in your own way and style - well done mate , what you have done is unique to your personality which obviously makes the car what it is. Top stuff , whats the next project ?
Hoonatic Bloggs na mate it would look rude as fuck on some 15 inch jelly bean tridons or GT 12 slots, looks amazing slammed on big wheel's,each there own I guess,as long as it looks good in the eyes of the owner I spoze that's what's matters
Look good to me with big wheels times change everybody use to say big wheels on cars was whack and that was a fad 20 something years later still going to each it’s own.
Prince Of All Saiyans .. you obviously have no idea how much cost is involved in putting a quad cam motor in these old cars . Not to mention why would you want to do it anyway
I've never particularly cared what badge was on a car - particularly as a Valiant owner copped it from both sides anyway (even after the early coupes started to bring decent money). I have fond memories of the XR Fairmont I owned for a couple of years back in the 80s - far better than the XW that replaced it - but early V8 Fords seemed to attract two sets of people (cops and thieves). I couldn't leave the XW on the street, and it was nothing to write home about - I expect that its even worse now. The hobby is so full of wannabes and brand Nazis that just don't comprehend that one day the only place ANY of these cars will be seen is in a museum, and that day isn't as far away as we might hope. One of the usual suspects on ABC told the panel that he could see no reason why combustion engines cant be outlawed in Australia by 2030 : a moron who clearly doesn't venture more than 10k from the CBD. but that's the kind of knee-jerk reaction pollies cant get enough of. Cheers to the uploader for this vid - let's enjoy these car while we can still see them on public streets.
Another beautiful classic old Ford Fairmont totally destroyed. I guess it's all taste but true value is in originality with minor mods, but if you want something like this XR then why not take an old gunker Falcon that needs a full resto, rather than trashing a piece of Ford history made here in Australia? This XR will end up being worth less & less, but no debating it's a nice car & beautiful quality workmanship gone in to it, but now it's just another molested old Ford.
Why does it matter if it's worth less if he's not going to buy it? There's plenty of original XR's out there and guess what? They're all as boring as each other. This isn't your car or your money so don't try to stand in the way of someone else's creative vision. At least they're doing something unique with their car.
G'day Brad..Really nice but nowhere near like a proper original XR..Stock beats mods I'm afraid..Enjoy it though it's lovely in that guise...cheers Rod
Lets be real here.. An XR GT in mint condition would be awesome. A collectible classic, arguably Australia's first muscle car and the first V8 to claim the mountain. You wouldn't change a thing, you'd just clean it and love it. But a full concourse rebuild on any other badged XR would be a fools errand. Unless your motoring dream involves special ordering some pizza cutter tires and sliding across your vinyl bench seat everytime you go around a roundabout lol.
congrats she looks and sounds wonderful
Holden fan but definitely love these fords top job man
Out of all the car interviews I’ve seeen this is the best one built
Absolutely love it!!

It's still looks shit when you got stock arches. It's ford not bugatti veyron .
It’s a nice ride alright, very clean and you can appreciate the hours spent. who gives a fuck if others don’t agree. Are they driving it?
That push button start is wrong it screams modern
Great car looks crazy but I'd love to see it with a 5.0 litre coyote instead of the old been there done that Windsor or Cleveland

Beautiful car, but still would want something that was a daily driver..!
These videos are becoming predictable. An ex-ricer comes around to muscle.
thats the beauty of these vids mate, seeing all different builds
And………….?
No stereo no seat belt...
wouldn't need a stereo with a donk like that, and yeah?
Них@я не понял, но машина кайфовая :)
Please get rid of those 20 inch rims.
G'day Brad..Really nice but nowhere near like a proper original XR..Stock beats mods I'm afraid..Enjoy it though it's lovely in that guise...cheers Rod
DYL I agree with Rodney nice car but would rather a mint stock car, once a car is modded too far from the original it becomes pointless imo.

whats up with giving a car a name, and a stupid one too. its like look at me, im a wannabe bad guy
Those are the ugliest wheels I've ever seen
