You rarely see XA's and XB's on the street these days, really nice to see a super clean one like this getting used properly and not hidden away in a garage under a car cover.
Omg id be petrified of it being stolen! I mean they are worth as much as Ferraris and are a hell of a lot rarer! Mate these cars are art! And I would only drive it under police guard in some spots!
Hi Tony,I've watched the video about 10 times now love it,still waiting for you to take me for a cruise. Best restored XA in the country without a doubt. Congrats on a fine aussie legend.

i agree mate . one of my boys has found an old Pontiac i owned back in the 90s and bought and is currently restoring it to its former glory. i am so proud.
Love the XA Coupe mate, Looks and sounds superb, you done a marvelous job on it.

You Aussies sure know how to do a muscle car right! If only these Falcons had been sold in the States. It's a dream of mine to have one but I feel it would be a sin to remove it from Oz.

You can have one in the USA. Just look at a 1970-71 Ford Torino. Same car with a different front clip and different tail lights. The USA got three different headlight treatments, all different from the flat front of the Australian version.

My father had an XA. I grew up in it. I just love the lines. I could never afford one now. They stop me in my tracks when I see one. Gorgeous car brother.

Looks Very Nice. Hard to go past an XAGT Coupe, my favourite Aussie Muscle Car. I agree with others about the wheels, too big diameter wise for me. Must be the lighting but it doesn't look Track Red to me, the XY colour, Red Pepper from memory was the XA colour, looks more like that. The GT had the moulding along the top of the door and side window, just finishes it off a bit better, and what a pity it's an auto, a Muscle Car needs a manual. A 6 speed Tremec would do just nicely I think.

Another professional commenter. Dude that is a fully manualised auto which means you have to change gears. Thats no automatic bud and big wheels accomodate Big brakes

Great car. With those significant mods/changes though, it's no longer a GT. I had a '72 lime-green sedan and it was always my favourite.
The XA-XC line were the best looking cars bar none imo.

Still firmly believe the Ford's & Holden's of the late 60's & 70's are so much better looking, performing (except the brakes) meaner stance than today's cars. You had to actually drive the car, as opposed to getting in and having all the safety features of today.
Is that a 1963 Chevy Impala at 0:57? Did General Motors build these cars in Australia, or were they imported from the US? Just curious.
Gustav Babic ... early holden did do bodied by fischer chevs for a few years .. factory built right hand drives in australia... so we do see both original rhd and imported then converted to rhd cars kickin round.

Thanks for the info regarding early 60s Chevy cars in Australia. Also, I really like the looks of the two door XA and XB Falcolns. Do you happen to know if these cars shared any sheet metal in common with the US 1971 Ford Torino? To my inexpert eye both the roof line and the window line look very similar to the 71 Torino, and I'm wondering if the side panels are the same as the Torino?
GM imported cars as complete knock down and then assembled in Australia up until the late 60's

why do people like those wheels on classic cars just ruins the hole build
the same....in my book there are onl ya couple of wheels that fit a muscle car...factory wheels. magnum 500's ..or factory steel with caps.
i honestly prefer funky factory caps on a classic than some ricer wheels.
to me Cragar SS are already pushing the limits toward exotics hahah

In America the laws are made to save old classic cars in Australia the laws make it almost impossible to drive an older car, thats why you dont see any cars over 15 years old its worse in New Zealand,a great example is you can buy any car in the USA and drive it for 20 days plateless no matter what condition so you can get it fixed in Australia you have to go to licensing centre wait in line to pay a fortune to get a certificate that lets you drive it for 24hrs but even with that certificate a cop can pull you over and decide the cars too dangerous and red sticker it and you will need it towed, but that australias government,banned BB Guns Airsoft, paintball, nicotine, certain slingshots, flick knives butterfly knives, though they are cool with kid killing kinder surprises
