what meter are you using? if it is the yellow meter, make sure the water is 25c if you mix powder but the yellow meters will auto adjust for that, the red meters where you dial them in with screw, you can adjust screw, a good idea is to use a apera meter but i didnt tell you that.. lol
did you clean it with stoarge solution? this might help as well. keep us in the loop and we will help you out and get results to need to be successfull.

one pack each calibration, there hard to import due to the chemicals restrictions now by carriers same with batteries. so you can buy the powereds in bulk and make sure to get storages soultion to keep meter in good use and will last longer, probes will last one yr and those are the $900 meters for labs so cheaper probes will last 6 months to one yr. its like oil change in car, it is just someing that needs to be changed.

I don't totally understand how this works as your 6.86 didn't exactly match what the narration was saying (I didn't see any flashing)...but, are there three settings on the device for the three typical solutions? In other words, is there a 4.0 setting on the device that I'd pick and then insert it into the 4.0 solution to tell it that that's what is 4.0? And then the same for the 6.86? Etc. Lastly, is it necessary to use several buffering solutions? Wouldn't it be doing the same thing to just measure the distilled that is (evidently) typically 5.8 and then use one of the solutions to calibrate? Thanks!

You can be the judge of that, if you see big swings in ranges whe. You test, best to recalibrate the pen.
How ever, with my blue labs pen, I'll make sure I store the pen lid with a solution.
Storage solution, but if you take our ph down from Standard Hydroponics, you fill a cap of water and add 2 drops of ph dow to it, then add 2 or 3 drops in the lid for ph pen.
Tadda.. you have a storage solution hack.
2.9 to 3.0 ph for the solution.

I purchased this for a singular purpose - to provide people with a means to consume water that is both healthy and safe. I possess three pH Buffer Powders: 4.00, 6.86, and 9.18.

The reader comes PRECALIBRATED. Make sure electrode isnt dry and just use it. It will be accurate to at least 0.1 ph.
If you need to calibrate it for higher accuracy do not do it how he did.
In the instructions it says it takes about 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize. You cant callibrate it immediately after touching the solution or you are just randomly changing numbers. This guy doesnt know what hes talking about please watch a different video.
You do NOT have to recalibrate the reader every use. Read the instructions it came with. Make sure the electrode doesnt dry out. If it does soak it in distilled water for a few hours. All this is in the instructions it came with. Read the instructions first. Then watch a different video.
