A red oil light basically means "change engine". If its that low on oil you are damaging the engine. Once they start making noise its done. The only exception to this is if the oil pressure sensor is bad. I drive beaters, I check the fluid levels at every fuel stop. Once you know what to look for it takes about 2 minutes to check all the fluids.

i live in Columbus on the east side. i know many who has similar circumstances. when we re pushed back in the corner, usually we tend to dig further since we cant see straight. i would ask for help from friends and family. and maybe, rent in a cheap area? get a cheaper phone service?? my rent is $400. when the rent is cheap it s big help. hit me up we could chat more or hang out.
