I can still make calls and text and data so far with the BB passport SE . Well at least until At&t blocks my sim from detecting a 3G device . So far so good m

Still have a Torch! It functioned throughout January 4th; on the 5th email was gone, but phone and text still work as do Blackberry maps. Based on my reading, this is what I expected to happen [except for the maps!]. The browser hasn't worked for a long time due to outdated certificates, and I was never concerned about that since the security was hopelessly out of date anyways. I'll keep it going, but its not my only phone, so it's a bit of an experiment now.
I am in Canada with Virgin which is bascally Bell. I lost sim services, hub email functionality, as well as internet in the sense of web certs being expired everywhere on my Bold 9900. This has been the case for at least two years, even though hardware wise it is still going. On the other hand, my Blackberry Classic is virtually the same as on the 3rd. As you said, time will tell. My Classic now functions like a Palm. Until I can replace my Kindle, the Classic is my alarm clock and no-ads game hub. KeyONE is working fine! Thanks for hosting video!

I've had some back and forth with ATT for the past two months. Having them restore my service multiple times and they finally took a more drastic step on my Q10. The cellular antenna symbol turned from "4G" to "4g". Voice and sms would work but I could no longer send email or mms (pictures over sms). I didn't try with my Passport I just switched over to their stupid Alcatel Android phone. I feel so defeated and miss my old friends. BlackBerry 10 was the best mobile OS I've ever used.
maybe you can use your contacts at BB and see if they will let you run the BB servers out of your garage. I'll miss BBM the most. Thanks for the live stream!
I'm in Egypt...I have a Q10...the blackberry server was working fine until a few hours ago where the famous blackberry logo disappeared from the phone screen...now, I only have the 4G sign...email is working as it used to..web browsing is fine too...I have a paid version of BBM so I think it is working fine too
9900 still works on mintsim after they claimed they are dropping their 3G service on July 1st. It is July 3rd now. Just don't expect email to work. Call and text works and that's all i need!
Here in Thailand, I have Bold 9900, Torch 9810 and Torch 9800. 2 Years after this video was released, these phones I have here can make phone calls, send sms, listening to music and that's all. 3G network is still available here. So pity that Blackberry OS 7 phones here are 4G unsupported. So if I want to use them for long long time as dumb phones, may be I might find the 4G version which import from USA 😊
Still rocking a Blackberry Passport to this day (Portugal, Vodafone network)! Most of the things work, installing most basic apps is not a problem, however banking apps, Blackberry services and some very specific apps do not install or work at all. But still in love with this phone since the day I got it.
My BB Playbook is now a brick. *THANKS A LOT, BLACKBERRY!* Got constant "cannot log in with BBID" nags, figured it was a glitch, did a full reset and now cannot get past the licence agreement screen in set-up as the country list will not populate from the now-switched-off server owned by Blackberry. *sigh*. That was when I started digging and found out about the big Blackberry switch off. Anyone want to by a Playbook 64GB in perfect condition? 🙂

yeah i decided to go the format route with my classic tried for fun to create and sign in but nothing is really working. I'm not sure how the whole carrier thing works in the UK ill need to go out and get a new valid burner sim but I'm pretty sure the 4G networks will still work just fine on it benefit of just europe using GSM only.
Fired up my Classic with my AT&T SIM card today and can still call and text. Email still works and so does the internet. Gonna leave it on and see how long it lasts?

Does anybody know anything about how to get the SDXC media card drivers for BB10 devices now? I have some Z10 I bought recently to use as cameras and I stupidly did not connect them to wifi and insert the SDXC card I use for my Blackberry devices to automatically download the driver before the shutdown.
@@monurajput5608 clear cache regularly, close apps when not using and don't use location when not needed and I use on my PRIV Lite version of Google re Google GO.

@@monurajput5608 KEY 2 is step above in SOC and overall speed. But PRIV has an amazing screen even in 2022 has a very high PPI. Plus a keyboard that has ever failed. You can see , feel that the PRIV was the last BlackBerry directly from BlackBerry!
old nokia E series phones works as phone as usual after over a decade of no support. i dont get why bb phones couldnt let us use the phone to even call and text.

Correct, if you reset the device with a BB ID still active, it will essentially make it a coaster and not able to be used or get past that screen since it won't be able to reach the servers to authenticate the device.

Correct, good point. I don't notice the little bit to the right of the message total that gives a preview. Is that a setting? Since I wiped mine I haven't gotten it back exactly how I want it but if it's the default then it is missing.
@@StevealiciousTech in the hub, all really works, gmail whatsapp, etc so I am happy! However in the setting, you can specify whether you want the notification of new messages. I am getting my sound/optical notifications, however not that pop-up kind of message saying x new mails and y-new messages, although enabled in the hub-setting! Isn't that strange, all of a sudden? 😢
Please I am trying to transfer contacts and data from Blackberry Passport phone into my new phone Samsung notebook new phone. Downloaded the device switch app on both phones. Synchronised both phones but rather than data being transferred from blackberry phone, the data was being transferred from the new Samsung Notebook phone into the Blackberry Passport Phone. Is there a fix for this? The smart device app in the Samsung Note Phone, only allow for transfer of data from Android, Iphone and Windows phones Like all users of blackberry phones, i love the keyboard on them. It is a pity this is the end of Blackberry as a mobile phone manufacturer. I am still trying to adapt to the keyboard on the Samsung Notebook phone. I use the the blackberry phone on 3G & 4G networks in UK and Nigeria. Will appreciate any assistance.
I think (just an opinion) Onward Mobility should have had new Passports for sale by now. But they haven't / can't. Who knows? So maybe Blackberry haven't been able to shut everything down just yet as they don't want a class action lawsuit (as you suggested).
I have the Classic and I only use that phone when I go back to the US for a visit (I live overseas now). I only use the phone (with US number) for receiving/making calls and texts. i haven't been back obviously due to Covid travel restrictions but will fly out soon in three weeks. Will my Classic work just to receive/make calls/texts? not planning on doing anything else with it (wifi, etc.). I have a..cheap pay-as-you go call and text plan with T-mobile. No wifi data as it is an old program. Should I play it safe and just use my Priv instead?

Mine bb passport can call, text, used internet using WiFi, have clock, alarm, calculator, and youtube but only can see mostly 360p and sometimes 720p, also I can watch videos at 1440p max using a micro sd.
My Passport works fine except for Kindle that stopped working and I can't launch apk files anymore. I managed to install another ebook reader (a bar file) however so all is not lost. It seems I'm the only one to have this problem so could be a coincidence and not due to the end of BB10 servers. If anyone knows where I can find a bar file for Kindle I'd be interested.
It's funny how Blackberry didn't try and monetize the people's hunger for their all mighty and glorious Blackberrys, I myself would have gladly payed for the ability to run my Berry! Blackberry failed for all the wrong reasons, imagine buying a Blackberry and the cell service and protection and services all from Blackberry itself.
I tried logging into my outlook email through the hub and it failed to connect to network , it allows the Gmail to connect tho . I'm using a blackberry passport SE.
I reset my BB Classic Q20 and now I can’t get past the wifi screen because to set it up, blackberry servers need to confirm which means it’s now trashed. Never ever reset a BB10 phone or else it’s junk
But does your clock sync correctly? Mine doesn't, needs manual adjustment. Otherwise, everything (that i use) seems to be working on BB Classic, if anything it's faster. Especially on Whatsapp.
I'm sorry to say but you don't at this point. If the device was wiped with an active BB ID with BB Protect still active, the device can't activate or get past that device because the servers are now down. I don't know of a workaround really...I don't know if anyone has.
There is a walk around, just search on a TH-cam how to bypass wifi setup blackberry 2022 and there are a bunch of vids. Unfortunately if you have a blackberry that was protected with blackberry id, you can’t do the walk around. You have to reflash the software using a computer

Exactly, they will shut it off and you will have to go through a whole hassle to get it back on...but calls and texts are going to be it...a Q20 should be able to do email though...as long as no Outlook it would appear people are saying.
Will someone for the love of God explain to me how BlackBerry can turn off my playbook when it has nothing to do with them I own it and I'm using Wi-Fi it's got nothing to do with them Where they can just switch it off. I don't have a problem with them not servicing it but they don't have a right to just turn off something that doesn't belong to them anymore
Have you noticed any significant advantages to 4G w Vo/lte over simply 3G? Plugged my sim into Classic from U. Pocket and no changes noted save loss of BB world. You stated T-Mobile to carry BB until sometime in March 22. Pocket is a good phone but not a BB! Thank you. Pocket maybe a "bridge" to the 5G BB. I miss BB OS10.

I would like to see a tall version of The Bold 9900. For me the passport was too wide.

Yes, if you have BBMe you should be OK. It's consumer BBM that went away. And same for me. Lost the connection to BB but otherwise I'm OK so far.

Because Blackberry used a port of Linux and built the OS up from themselves it's pretty easy to glitch out and bypass.

Wife's Bold 9900 can make and receive calls. Web browser is not working properly though.
So far OS6 is still working on my old 9300 besides Blackberry App World.

GREAT VIDEO...As you say.. So far so good..using my Passport SE no issues. Main driver my PRIV and KEY2's.
We shall see as time goes on but either way I think we need a good alternative soon!
Is priv Good for limited browsing ? Somehow people always scare me by saying it gets heat up alot.

Uhhh, depends on your network and if it was one purchased from ATT if you have them. Otherwise, TMobile should be just fine for that and the Key2.

If it had a BB ID active at the time of the wipe, you don't, unfortunately.
Most of what I need still runs, Passport and a Z30

Put my son's sim from straight talk in my Q20.Texts and Calls and that's a wrap.Didnt wanna test my ATT sim they will lock it down
Exactly, they will shut it off and you will have to go through a whole hassle to get it back on...but calls and texts are going to be it...a Q20 should be able to do email though...as long as no Outlook it would appear people are saying.

So far so good. No BB World and other services but for email, calls, text, and data, so far so good.
Will someone for the love of God explain to me how BlackBerry can turn off my playbook when it has nothing to do with them I own it and I'm using Wi-Fi it's got nothing to do with them Where they can just switch it off. I don't have a problem with them not servicing it but they don't have a right to just turn off something that doesn't belong to them anymore

Have you noticed any significant advantages to 4G w Vo/lte over simply 3G? Plugged my sim into Classic from U. Pocket and no changes noted save loss of BB world. You stated T-Mobile to carry BB until sometime in March 22. Pocket is a good phone but not a BB! Thank you. Pocket maybe a "bridge" to the 5G BB. I miss BB OS10.
