Nitecore NU25 Headlamp Kit Review! (Best of Flood & Throw All in One, 400 Lumens!)

Nitecore NU25 headlamp kit. This kit is sporting both abilities to provide flood and throw or both at once. Runtimes on the single LED usage is excellent. This weighs just 1.98oz so you may just forget it is on your head after a while. The red LEDs are nice and provide a flood beam as well, which is great for reading maps etc. to preserve your night vision. The 650mAh battery is perfect and will quickly charge up on the go using the USB Type C charging system. Red LEDs is nice to use when you need to conserve your night vision. The battery level indicator is easy to see before you turn on the light. ABS plastic body is rugged and nice quality as well. I have the original NU25 (2017?) with a custom lightweight band. Despite being micro-USB it’s still generally preferred by the ultralight hiking community over the replacement being lighter with a simpler interface and having a 1 lumen setting

That was the NU20, I think. My favorite headlamp. Simple, easy, so OF COURSE Nitecore discontinued it. Not everyone needs to baby their eyes with red light. Low lumen should be fine.

@@LP-jn4tw definitely the discontinued 2017 NU25. The 1 lumen runtime is claimed to be 160 hours per Nitecore website.
All it needed was USB-C …
