Sadly it has display issues after a few months of use and it cannot be repaired since the warranty refuses and says it's normal screen wear.. Test yours under a blanket in complete darkness with around 5-10% brightness on greyish picture

Im an iphone, pixel, and Samsung user for many years but when I switched to OnePlus phone it made me realize this has the best UI and hardware for me. Super underrated brand and phone!
Fair game but I think they went downhill with the whole OS/UI change - totally unnecessary when OxygenOS was literally the cleanest and fastest Android skin around.

@@marshallstacy6243I agree with him tho, curved screens are the worst. Try using it without any case and you always have these annoying touches on the edges which after a while becomes really, really annoying.
I can’t do curve edges. I like to add screen protectors on my phones and a curve edge is a bit of a nightmare. If it had a flat screen, that would have been my number 1 phone.
I purchased a OnePlus7T Pro, with the retractable camera, several years ago. Even though, at the time I had a samsung Note 9 and was closer to purchasing a newer Samsung than ever before. I still bought it due to how insanely sharp the price had dropped and it was a limited edition Mclaren version. To this day, easily one of the best phones I have ever had. I own the Z Flip 6 now and also purchased the Z Flip 3 to start the flip journey of mine but as a full fledged phone it is insanely good at EVERYTHING. The screen, Cameras, Gaming, Socials, RAM capacity etc, everything has held up and I still use it as my personal phone on the side. I may not use it for 6 months out of the year but when I do, it's just as amazing as it was the day I had purchased it. OnePlus reallyy does great, especially on the older devices since after the updates they are so much faster and reliable. On the other hand, I can't upgrade it anymore and it has been taken off the official site for updates which is one setback, but I am now looking into the CMF brand which I feel like will be much much larger and more customer focused with Carl Pei as the CEO.
I love this phone but have found a couple of bugs with it. First when you make an outgoing call and then clear all apps by accident or flick out of the on going call you can't easily return to the active call screen, that's definitely a bug. Number 2 if you have the always on display active and when it is in your pocket if you are running, or like the other weekend I was at a wedding and was dancing for a couple hours, everytime I pulled my phone out of my pocket which was multiple times to snap a picture. Everytime I did this the screen had the phone pad open with emergency dial on and a bunch of random numbers on the screen from apparently being hit by my thigh while dancing. Each time I can to delete all the numbers then flick the screen closed. A couple times it actually opened Google password permission was was a weird thing to open while being in my pocket. So yea great phone but those 2 bugs PLEASE FIX One Plus!!

From me being a Samsung guy (S5, S7 Edge, A70, S21 Ultra, Z Fold 4) to my first OnePlus (OnePlus 12 with the 16/512 model) im a guy that loves tech and love to try new stuff from time to time. I saw couple of your vids with the Phone and other reviews before getting it and honestly with the price comparaison that i did for my own fun (living in Montreal) for the price of the OnePlus 12 with a case and the 100W charger, i wasn't sure at first knowing i got the Global version compared to the NA (Besides the including charger on the NA version and no charger on the Global, still end up the same price i just thought way too far lol) this phone is just amazing for what you get a that price. Me being used with my S21 Ultra (That im still using time to time) the curve for me is no issue, no accidental touch and imo (yes imo) it feels just... better from time to time. From the insane Battery and charging speed, amazing performance with that SD 8 Gen 3 (Honestly i don't see why i should have the Gen 4 if everything is just easily playable smoothly on the 12 with the Gen 3) the beautiful 120hz screen (I got flashbanged at first totally not knowing how bright it can go compared to the phones i had) and the beautiful emerald color (Got and Spigen clear case to showcase that beauty color) its just too good for the price. Camera wise i know some reviews mention that the S24 and Iphone takes the cake and it might, and lemme tell you. I do take pictures when i feel like it (Maybe too much honestly lol) and i still consider the Camera pretty good for how much i paid the phone. Heck, some pictures i took with this phone, if i wouldve used the Z Fold i wouldve struggled. (Dunno if its the app of the camera or just ui or just me having pure skill issue with samsung cameras but somehow i took some amazing pictures already with the OnePlus and im hella not dissapointed) All that to, this phone from me being a Samsung and will always love Samsung phones, the OnePlus 12 for a first time buyer of OnePlus. Its easily the Best phone you can get at an amazing price.
OnePlus was also on my radar, but in the end, I went Galaxy S20+ to S24U. My colleague has one of the OnePlus 'folds' - the 11? Previously I had the OP 3T then the 6T
I'm about to buy one too, and god just the blue body color alone is enough of a reason for me to purchase one. But it's also such a good overall device that I cannot resist, and for also a very reasonable price too.
I own a Oneplus 12 as my main phone and it is indeed a great phone but I will say a few things that I think need work for future devices. Firstly the obvious which is the curved display, but also the sheer size. Onepluses refusal to make a single reasonably sized phone is disappointing. My other issue is the cameras, while they are good at times, the main lens is noticeably worse than the telephoto which was a strange choice. It also has a very strange issue when there are multiple faces in a shot. Almost always it will make one of the faces sharp and the others soft or slightly out of focus especially if the are not at the same level or depth, which can be irritating. Also I havn't been too impressed with the front camera in general as it also suffers from this issue and the colour science is also off on this sensor compared to the rear sensors, the lack of 4K60 is also unnecessary. I also feel like OxygenOS could use some more polish in places and options like lock screen customization are lacking. They have nailed the pricing, battery and charging though, its easily the best value of any flagship out there.
Hi are you also experiencing a loud rattling noise near cameras.??(Specially when you shake it a lil) please let me know as my OP12 is making this sound and it's quite irritating...!!
I like this phone too but I think alert sliders are a disaster. Many people in the forums are complaining about broken sliders and phones stuck in vibrate or silent.
I actually agree with you. I've had all the phones you have mentioned except for the iPhone 16.....and I have to say you're right about this. The only thing I didn't care for is the curved display.
Same here...I have had the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the OnePlus 12 (512gb/16gb variant) and now have the Pixel 9 Pro XL...and the ONLY thing I didn't like was the curved screen on the OnePlus 12.
Is it true their notifications automatically delete themselves or dont even show at all whatsoever or randomly disappear? Has OnePlus resolved this issue yet?

Make it with 7000 -10000 mAh battery , headphone jack for people who talk using headphone set and charge phone at the same time and make it a little bit rugged and it will be the killer !
My only issue with the phone and why I had to give it back was the fact that notifications were widely a problem on it... they said they would fix it at the end of the year / next year but I don't wanna stick around just in case it doesn't... if they do change it however I will gladly go back to the one plus 12 I loved that phone

OnePlus flagship must follow its cousin's take on screen design. quad curved for comfortable handling but flat display/panel for better viewing experience. talking about the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. to me, the Reno 12 Pro is the best screen design. not too curved yet panel is flat.
Good luck with getting green lines. OnePlus really lost my trust with this display issues
No green lines on mine.
You're lucky then xD@@wakinguptothetruth.2566
Different display now. So greenline should not appear
Sadly it has display issues after a few months of use and it cannot be repaired since the warranty refuses and says it's normal screen wear.. Test yours under a blanket in complete darkness with around 5-10% brightness on greyish picture
I had this phone. Loved it until it fell in water and it died. Now water resistant is the top priority for any phone I get
I wonder if previous ones were more water resistant. I did wash in a sink Op6t and 9, so now I think I'll stick to a cloth or a wet paper
I bought an OP12 16-512 variant! absolutely beast especially the battery charging. Some hesitated to buy this one because of itscurve display but it's really good and you will not notice the curve very much if you have a case or even without.
My oneplus 8 pro with IP68 resistance and 12GB RAM is still going strong since 2020. The only thing that's aged is the camera but it's still a fantastic phone. I also bought the oneplus nord 2t which had better cameras and a faster chipset but not as good overall package. There's no need to spend over £1000 for a new phone buy an old flagship..
I have no clue why they got rid of the IP-rating :(
My oneplus 8 pro said sayonara after a short drop from the table beside my bed :(
Watching on my Oneplus 7T, still working smooth and I don't even feel like upgrading!
The camera samples sold me ngl
But what if it gets a green line on display after warranty period? Or if its motherboard goes off post warranty? I dont think you should be recommending this as the best available phone out there.
If it wasnt for the green line issue and my pocket ofcourse i wwould have already bought a one plus device
The OS has not changed. It's still running android
I really want one, but in my country, believe or not, the S24 Ultra is cheaper. OP12 is $1,045 while the S24U is $990. That's why I'm going for Samsung, but if I could get the OP12 for $800 I'd buy it in a heart beat.
What country are you from?

In the first 3 seconds I knew it was a no for me, the curved screen kills it
It's got to have something special if I'm going to endure something other than flat glass
the only phone I'd do that for is the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
I’ve had many curved displays. Never bothered me once
If it had a flat screen, that would have been my number 1 phone.
go have a samsung s6, super flat
And OnePlus 12 have a 24GB RAM 1 Terabyte version. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👑👑
0:10 What game is that? 🙂

I just want a bloody Flat Screen !!!!
Exactly flat screen! No more curved display gimmick.
Dont know why... the actual is really nice screen tbh
@@NVidiero I agree with you a 100%. The screen is great. I just want this to be flat…. The same screen.
@@sauravverma ok, but why? What is the reason?
@@NVidiero Curved Screen makes viewing experience for videos, nightmare for screen Guards, mostly covers affect the screen guard even if you take care, it breaks easily if fallen..less screen real estate vs Flat screen..
I was going to buy the 12R, but didn't want a curved screen. Other option was the Realme GT6, but... same issue. Ended up with a more costly S24, but I don't regret the choice.
You wouldn't had regretted it if you bought the 12R too. I have the 9 Pro and the curve is so subtle you wouldn't notice. It gives the phone a premium look but at the same time it doesn't compromise the ergonomics
If it wasn’t for the lack of 3rd party camera integration this would be a good phone
This and inferior app support (compared to iOS) is why I couldn’t make the jump. Sadge
Never heard someone say Android has poor app support @@omarnotfound
i bought a OnePlus Nord in 2021, and it was a very nice phone, my first experience with an amoled 90hz display, nice camera with ois. This year i got the op12, ive been using it since march and it's amazing, is not easy to reach its limits, with battery life, cameras, display and audio!
if i can suggest something i would say to log in the oneplus community, is nice to have a place for official announcements, thoughts and ideas about OnePlus products
I had an Oppo x5 pro a year ago just to see what it was like and I totally agree the OnePlus-oppo phones are really underrated. Low light camera performance isn't the best and the software is a little buggy compared to efforts from Samsung etc but I really miss that phone, it was very refreshing.
I really want to try the latest flagship Oppo

I’d love to go back to OP sometime but I really can’t stand the curved screens. I agree it feels more comfortable but the blue shift on either side of your screen is eternally noticeable to me. They’re glare magnets too
I would love a flat Display with 19:9 Aspect Ratio, that is the only reason why I got my S24 Ultra.
I don't like the tall 20:9 ratio of Pixel 9. 19.5 is also ok.
Everyone goes on about fast charging, but other than when you are out at an event and tight on charge...I manage to charge a pixel enough in an hour.
I moved to a OnePlus 12 to replace my Pixel 7 Pro. I'm very happy. I could have waited for the OnePlus 13, but I got a fantastic deal for the 16GB/512GB(sub 800 USD new). I do get a lot of compliments on the camera array alone.
I paid like $380 with a trade-in of an old phone I haven't used in a couple years

Never used a OnePlus phone before. Just wanted to know if Nova launcher works without any gesture issues. Redmi phones don't support gestures with Nova launcher.
Here's to hoping that the 12 opting for BOE panels rather than Samsung means lower and lesser chance of Green Line issues.
Watching this on my OnePlus 12. Love it🤞

Using a case with raised edges helps a ton with the curved screen accidental touches.
Yes it’s still ranking high in the Android world. I just sold my S24 Ultra today and put my sim into my black 512GB OP12. Great device and awesome video buddy. Keep pressing on. 👊🏽👏🏽💯
why sell s24 ultra?
That sounds like a big downgrade Why would you do that
S24 ultra is literally the android king best camera best software best performance

For all who say it's a downgrade, I know but unless you use every single feature of these devices, you don't really miss it. I have multiple devices anyway so I am not as affected as you guys are by my sale. If it's any comfort to you guys, I did get a phenomenal price so I'm a happy camper 😁😁

I have had a terrible experience using Oneplus phones, my last Oneplus phone was a 6T and there was so much wrong with that phone i don't think i would ever go back to Oneplus anytime soon but it's good to see that they are doing well and maybe one day i can try them out again
Hi are you also experiencing a loud rattling noise near cameras.??(Specially when you shake it a lil)
please let me know as my OP12 is making this sound and it's quite irritating...!!
@@rahulranga2078 I can hear small rattle but i think that is just OIS on the camera moving from side to side, not an issue.

I like this phone too but I think alert sliders are a disaster. Many people in the forums are complaining about broken sliders and phones stuck in vibrate or silent.
That isn't great...
I hope OnePlus deals with that...
What's stopping other big brands from making one similar in these features like battery and fast charging?
Never seen that ever happen in the three that I've owned including the 12

I am using oneplus nord for past 4 years and it is hell of a device works good as new till date and now I am looking for an upgrade and because of past 4 year experience I was thinking of op12 but because of recent motherboard dead issues and green line I have mixed feelings also oxygen os missing what are your views in this issue
Make it with 7000 -10000 mAh battery , headphone jack for people who talk using headphone set and charge phone at the same time and make it a little bit rugged and it will be the killer !
i bought 12R. i don't use wireless charging or need fast transfer speed via cable
My only issue with the phone and why I had to give it back was the fact that notifications were widely a problem on it... they said they would fix it at the end of the year / next year but I don't wanna stick around just in case it doesn't... if they do change it however I will gladly go back to the one plus 12 I loved that phone

You look very similar to the actor who played Biff in Emmerdale Farm. Is he your brother or something?
Using the 7T. Really wanted to get this. Unfortunately in India, OP is having motherboard issues for the 9,10 and not providing free repairs. So not being able to trust OP, such a shame can't get this beast.

I truly don't like the curved screen .. and the layout of the round camera bump kinda sucks .. I guess the 13Pro is supposed to be centered but still retains the curved screen .. 🙃 .. I really miss the 10 ..

What about the oneplus 13 ? That's the thing with chinese first android phones, it's barely out in europe when the new one comes out

You hit the nail on the head, brother. I skipped out on OnePlus for several generations but couldn't resist the 12. It's a gem!
I loved my Oneplus 6 and I used to love my Oneplus 10 Pro but last week it got two green lines on the screen for no reason, after doing some research it seems that this is not uncommon, so I think I am going to switch to a pixel
I think this is wrong time to recommend that phone. Motherboard dead issue after update and service centre dont wont to provide service for that issue
Even for this model?
I agree. My first OnePlus phone since the One, and the second best value ive ever gotten out of a phone. Ditched my Pixel 8, S21 Ultra and Pixel 6 Pro... And I've never been happier... Except when I had my OnePlus One
Would've taken it if the display were to be a flat panel. Even the camera is an area I can compromise on.
