To close up the center you could also have used the figure “8” method and not have had those long stitches. 🇨🇦

Yes! Just cut the ends nice and straight and tape them together and continue to wrap!

5 yards make a nice size bowl like a cereal bowl. 8 yards I would consider medium size. 🇨🇦
