Thank you so much for being here, love you all so much ❤️
Hey guys ! We're Jim & Jen, a D90 owning couple from Loch Lomond and found your channel a wee while back. We love following your adventures and seeing what you get up to with the dogs. We are planning on building an overland trailer for behind the 90 but in the meantime are looking forward to the better weather so we can get out camping again in Glencoe with the dogs. Keep up the great content and have fun 🙂
Guys, to open a jar, just tap the side of the lid on a table or solid surface a couple of times.
These sceneries 🔥
As an X Pat living in New Zealand since I was 10, most Brits say nz is such a beautiful country, makes me wonder and I bet that they never Explored the UK , Typical A!! . Nice Part of Scotland guys , Land Rovers 👍 forever I love my Discovery 3 good job I'm a Mechanic definitely recommend owning one if you take a very good Mechanic along with you when you look for one 😀
Well it’s funny you say that actually because many years ago we did a working holiday to New Zealand and it was one of the first times we travelled (including the UK) and we were so sad to be heading home to England, but since we’ve done a lot more travelling around the UK recently we’ve realised how beautiful it is here too!! You always search far away for incredible places and don’t realise you have some right there on your doorstep!💙 thanks for your lovely comment🥰
Yeessss the cheese content is back in! 🧀👌
Loved the video guys. To open a new jar, hit the top of the lid in the middle with something like a knife handle.
tap jar on hard surface or dip in hot water. Love the dogs
Mull is a cracking place isn't it, great video!
Man,this is a bloody good film.Fantastic framing, and everything else….then you have theses Gorgeous pooches as well!!
The drone shots are so dreamy!
Ahhhh thanks so much guys!! Loving your videos 🥳❤
Brilliant video, thank you. Love the Landy and the woof boxes.
Tap the the jar's lid on the top edges with the backside of the blade of your heavy knife... It will stretch the lid a bit, and will not leak if you close it again...
Never wash mushrooms.
If they have a bit of compost or soil on, wipe it with a damp cloth..
Very nice video as always..
Oooo amazing tips thank you!! We had no idea about the mushrooms, which is bad considering how much we love them😆 Thank you so much!
Well, this is my first viewing of your work, and i am now a big fan and looking forward to seeing more!Lovely lovely film.!
Yes, Scottish weather is often four seasons in a day - Victoria, Australia is the same.
Great video! Turn the jar upside down and attempt to hit the lid evenly all the way around on a breadboard placed on a flat solid surface. The sharp hard knock on the lid the breaks the vacuum. Works every time.
Beautiful video. Absolutely lovely. BTW give that jar a few knocks on the cap. It'll open hopefully.
Thanks. Defender and dogs are the best.
Love Mull and Killiechronan campsite. The coast road is my favourite, Fidden Farm is a love spot too. Great film.
Just loved this video. Thank you for sharing. Gorgeous dogs too.
You captured the rugged beauty so well. Glad you enjoyed your time here
Made me smile. Thanks for being different 😊
Live in Scotland , am now 44 , never slept outdoors or in a tent , but now getting the bug for wild camping ! Loving these videos
It's never too late to start! Just remember to pack a raincoat and plenty of layers 😆
Stunningly beautiful film 😊😍
You two (you four!) really are the best at these sort of videos 👏👏👏
Ahhhh you’re too kind thank you Robert!☺️
Hard to say in a new way each time how awesome your videos are, so I will just say thank you! Oh and the woofs are beautiful
Ahhh that really means so much! Thank you 😊❤
I've just bought a defender 110 td5 ( 20/12/23) and planned on building a camper out of it before I saw you're second build and now I'm so inspired to crack on and get it done .
Different to yours but hey , each to their own , I'll be taking tips and inspiration from your build video.
Thank you both so much 😊
Great video.
I couldn't help thinking when you were washing the mushrooms that a week of weather like that and you'd have mushrooms growing in the car!!
Poke a hole in the lid break the vacuum
Living the dream..! 🥰🥰
Chicos, para abrir el bote, basta con que golpeeis la tapa contra una piedra y se os abrira facil, o usar un abridor de botellas que hay tambien para abrir botes
For stuck lids just use the top blunt edge of a knife and wack the top edge of the lid at an angle, comes off easy.
Currently using your back library as inspiration while we renovate our VW Syncro camper. We came back from Norway in July and the van is in bits, so we are pining for adventure again.
Hey guys you hit the edge of the screw lids and sides with the back of the knife and the middle…it opens every time !,, 😊
Stunning video. You really capture the essence of Scotland …
Absolutely awesome what you guys do. Love it. I’m just deciding whether to have a roof tent on my Nissan Navara or a four season tent on the ground! The pick up bed will be kitted out with draws and cooking stations though. Love the content guys. Drew xx
Felicidades.
Stunning landscapes. Beautiful scenery. Awesome Video.
Love the content in the video well put over guys.next time you have a jar with a tight lid dont stick knives in it 🙈 just put the jar lid under hot running water or in a bowl of hot water for 40 seconds then twist😁keep the good work up you two
Re,dave🏴
5:57 basically to open that jar is easy, you just hit the edge of the lit with the hard surface or with back of your knife then twist it.... ta da..!!!!
brilliant filming, captures the colour and greyness, the wetness and wildness, of west of scotland so well I could almost smell the single malt whisky by the candlelight :)
Knock a jar lid on a wooden chopping board it releases the pressure and makes it easy to open .
Found your channel a month ago and I love it. Watching from the states, you videography is great. Love the content
Hi guys great videos just to let ye know if you can't open a jar again punc a hole in the lid and will open with no pressure a little bit of tape over the hole afterwards. Liam in Ireland
stunning videooo🤤🤤
Lovely scenery. It's been many years since I visited Scotland but your video takes me back to good memories. Great video guys! Thank you for taking us along with you.
Same story....
Scotland stays............
Pure.....
Ahhh that means a lot thank you!! We fall more and more in love with Scotland every time we visit - it has such a raw beauty to it! Thanks so much for watching🥰💙
Just beautiful video, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next one
Another top video. Truly inspiring. West Coast is our quick get away from the Lakes, its like a second home for our Landy Adventures. Stay safe
Always an absolute pleasure to watch your videos… with a Scotland trip coming up for myself next Saturday, this has made me very excited 😍
I have been following you guys for a while on Tik tok and instagram. This is my first time watching your first video on TH-cam. Your video made me feel like home. I’ve been wanting to travel since I was like 16 years old. Now that I am 22, it’s still a dream of mine but fear stops me. I remember when I was 16, I discovered Andrew Kearns. I remember watching his travel vlog videos non stop. It was such a special time in my life and this video made me feel this way. I am looking forward to watch your videos from now on. You guys made me feel nostalgic. It was a special feeling. Watching this video made me have a burst of excitement to travel. Like I said, “ it felt like home”. I think I can say I have discovered my new favorite TH-cam channel. ❤ love you guys. Keep creating ✨
Ahhh that’s one of the kindest things anyones ever said about our videos thank you so much! We’re truly honoured that our videos made you feel that way thank you 🥰💙
What a beautiful video . Scotland sure is spectacular even with the misty days and The scenery was awesome . Really loved this video .Thanks again for sharing your wonderful travel memories with us your over landing friends . The dogs sure seem to like it also . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🐕🦺:)🐕🦺:)
Ahhh that’s the thing when you travel with dogs, they don’t care what the weathers like and sometimes force us to head out even if we don’t want to! But we’re always grateful that we do 🥰 thanks so much for you kind words as always Steve!
Amazing, I love the way you travel 💚😌
& once again: what an amaaazing video (or rather said: film) you guys are smashing it!!!
Awesome scenery thanks guys…spurns me on to visit beautiful Scotland
Thanks so much guys... Another lovely video 👌
Camping in that weather looks like hard work! Well done for capturing a great video at the same time
We were definitely very soggy 😂😂 but it’s worth it when the scenery is so beautiful!🥰
Spoon under the lid, gently break the vacuum. Pop.
Gonna do a Scotland trip in June in our Defender. Your video get's us even more excited! So great to watch 😍 Any suggestions for offroading in Scotland?
guys! the secret to opening a tough jar is to whack a couple of dents in the lid using the top edge of the knife
Lovely tranquil video which is a joy to watch. Love the clever use of the drone to give a brilliant overview of the scenery as you drive along. Very well produced and well done.😊
Ti senti al sicuro con questo ragazzo hee!! Non c'è la fa' nemmeno ad aprire un barattolo di olive 😂😂
Great watching your videos as it brings back so many memories when I was younger I keep myself fit as I do a lot of walking to fly fish Lochs for trout but we always release them but it’s a wild place up north or on the islands but I see you both have the right gear so keep at it for us guys ,stay safe 🙏💪👍🥃
beautiful video - from NORTH CAROLINA USA
Wow!
Hi, first time watching one of your videos and loved it. Beautiful shots of you and the dogs; and gave a real sense of the places you visited. I have visited Skye a couple of times and never seen it at its best due to the rain! Love hearing your chat and descriptions but occassionally found the background music drowned out your voices. Will definitely be watching more. x ❤
Thanks so much for watching and for the feedback! Will try to make sure the audio is better for the next one 💚
@@SomewhereWilder ❤
Hi guys, loved this video, not sure you’ll see this but thinking of doing a similar trip this year with my defender through Scotland.
I know you can (responsibly) wild camp most places in Scotland, but it’s different with a car.
Do you (or anyone) have any tips on finding spots you can car camp for the night?
To get a jar lid off that won’t open just stab a small knife hole in the centre of the lid on the jar and it will release the pressure in the jar then it should open
Okay we will definitely do that next time because that jar was never opened 😂 Thanks so much for the tip!
@@SomewhereWilder lol 😂. yeah as soon as you put the hole in the lid it will release the pressure in the jar which then should make it easier for you too turn and release the lid.
you’re welcome 😊
Hi guys, we love your videos and watching your adventures - your videography is incredible. I’ve read the info on your blog, any chance of a video tour of your defender for inspiration before me and my girlfriend start the same project in the new year? 🙏🏻
Heyyy, thank you so much!! We actually recorded one of a recent trip so I just need to get it edited and it will be one of the next few videos we post!🥳💙
Lovely videos - I've just caught up after discovering you through tiktok. I wanted to be cheeky and ask what colour your landrover is? I can't get a read on it and I'm a bit nerdy with the colours 🙈😅
Wonderful video. Western Scotland wasn’t on my bucket list but it is now. May I ask what ap were you using for the bird songs?
Thanks so much! Definitely recommend visiting when you get the chance 🗺 The app is called Merlin Bird ID 🐦
A bit of a typo in heading re Scotland?! Lol. Cheers 👍🏻🙏🦘
Beautifully done as ever. Can I ask which cameras were used on this trip?
At least you weren’t in a tent (being bitten by midgies?). We made it as far as Cape Wrath when I went up and ended up in a hotel.
first comment!!! yipeee great vid as usual.thanks :)
Yayyyy thank you so much 🥰❤
Love your content! What type of camera do you use and what settings?
Splendid & very impressive scenary intro at the start of vlog.
Scotland is really unique in Europe. You guys are bringing out the best of scenary wherever u camp.
Very under rated channel & wish world starts recognising your OverLanding & Wild camping efforts.
Subscribed.👍
if youncant get a jar open, puncture the top of the lid, should release the vaccum and open easily :)
Do you have the landowner's permission to drive on the machair?
Sorry but I switched off when you called your vehicle “a car”.
Good luck for the future guys
What is the location of the first minute? Coordinates or plus code or w3w
Hi what tent is that you are using
Stuck lid? Pour boiled water over the lid. The metal expands and it WILL open.
If you have a jar you cant open, just pierce the top
Oh, and if the rain doesn't get you, the midges will, so be prepared to be eaten alive!
What's the theme music? I like it
Hey guys my wife and I love your videos!
How do you go about finding the amazing wild camp spots in your car?
We’ve started car camping recently, we use park4night but are more interested in finding the more isolated type spots you guys find
Hey Dean! Thank you so much, we're so so happy to hear that🥰
We also always use Park4night when finding our spots - but we definitely recommend using the filters and selecting the 'surrounded by nature' and '4x4' options only! This is how we usually find spots that are a bit quieter and remote 😊 There's also the 'on the farm' option which can be an amazing alternative that may cost £5 or something but feels wild!
@@SomewhereWilder ah amazing Thankyou guys, keep up the awesome content
Poner subtítulos en español. Gracias.
Great vlog... but yr talking over is very.low can hardly hear what yr saying.... stay safe have fun..
Ahhhh thanks for letting us know!! We’re new to this so figuring it out as we go along 😅 we’ll make it louder next time 😊
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
:)
Couldn't hear a single word of the intro because the music was too loud. You may want to consier turning the music off when you're talking.
You do not need to wash mushrooms.
'Background' music too loud; can't hear the dialogue. Pity.
What part of the Bahamas are you two from? The way you were whining and moaning about one wet day makes me think you should stay home. You're obviously not able to handle a bit of inclement weather.
