Man this is heaven I'm a mechanic by trade. 30t years in the field. and diesel retiring in two years. but I'm never too old to learn might be harder but will be fun to have under my belt. My wife just got the Tesla Y model. And I had the Prius third generation. I'm getting the Tesla S plaid .
Professor Kelly - I just wanted to say thank you for all of the videos. I have learned so much from watching! I hope someday to attend your lectures in person.
I'll start with WoW, I don't have enough words to describe all the work you've done your university and your partners and you. I worked in aeronautics for 43 years, and I wish I was just 50 years younger. How lucky are your studies. And above all, thank you for sharing all this on TH-cam, as if you lacked work... I'm still learning. Thank you very much for all the work you have done.
This is a museum for the future! Very nice organization. So clean. It is probably the only place in the world so well done for hybrid vehicles. You look as a chairman in his chair but you do thinks, not only ask others to do it. The building is very nice. If I come to the US I certainly come to visit your place. I am to old to start but enough old to plainly appreciate this wonderful realization. Bravo from Lyon France and 1000 times thank You for the training videos so interesting.
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on right to repair and repairability of modern vehicles by independent mechanics. Thank you for the great content!
@@WeberAuto sometimes the amount of training doesn't allow the person trying to repair, for example when a mfg ties a part to a cryptographically signed other part. So even though you have a working replacement part.. you can't use it. This is currently done in the processor industry, AMD.
ive watched a documentary about farmers with large equipment, there is some sort of stranglehold on the computer system or the interface, i cant remember, its brutal
Wow that is so clean and pristine. 6800 square feet! I did not know the lil ole state of utah had such a precious gem, and you John Kelly are worth your weight in gold.
@@WeberAuto Professor Kelly I think you used to work with my Cousin B. Melcher. I would love to ask a question about a 2014 Sienna AWD rebuilt transmission.
My vocational school 1972 looked more like a 60's truck garage. Lol. It got the job done. John i love all your videos and I'm so happy for you in your New environment.
Absolutely amazing display. Any youth that has any desire to become an Auto Mechenic needs to learn modern electrical systems. Can't think of a better school than Weber. Enroll here kids... (From a 40 year Dealership Service Director)
The school's new training center is wonderful, congratulations teacher for your work, I live in Brazil and we have few teaching institutes about electric and hybrid cars
I love your videos and think this is a great facility. Thanks for taking the time to explain in great detail the complexities of these systems. I converted my own VW bug in 1993 (DC, 48v) and it is so exciting to see the major auto companies investing in such creative solutions.
Professor John Kelly, you have been making excellent videos for years! Congrats, all your hard work has grown New Buildings! And I’ll bet that Mustang Mach-E GT will need to do some recruiting drives with the Model S ;)
If I were not already retired I would certainly like to take the EV classes , I am past my time and working on anchient vehicles now Nothing better than knowing a good trade and while working in automotive for decades I earned more than most of my collage degree holding friends.
Beautiful new shop Professor Kelly! The future automotive techs that are going to be trained at your school will be are getting the absolute best training and equipment to work with and on! I look forward to more of your videos soon!
Very nice facility! When I see a great teacher like you and a facility like this, I can't help but wonder where the good mechanics end up. My experiences are with those that over-torque my wheel bolts to 200 ft. lbs. and leave my brake caliper bolts untightened.
what a wonderful channel - when i was a student at our faculty of engineering and information sciences the auto kids were raving about vtec and the computer nerds about windows 95. :-)
I'm truly envious of your teaching facility, but also encourage that there is a training centre this good in the world for forward thinking students to train, it is a credit to you that thousands study your videos for free to learn more about all things automotive especially electric vehicles. I can only imagine the budget to outfit that training faculty.
Thank you professor your TH-cam video has really help me alot,l worked on hybrid cars here in Nigeria hopefully I will start the training next year. The training centre look beautiful and well equipped. Thank you Prof.
Great shop and educational videos! Thank you for all your content. I have learned a lot from this channel and it has helped me grow to love electric technology.

Wow you must be in heaven over there. I can tell a lot of thought has gone into that setup. I'm hoping I can get to a week training session sooner than later.
Excellent video episode Professor, thanks. Impressive collection. Your graduates will be leading the EV engineering community well into the future. However, the talking heads on Wall Street & business TV continue to exert massive economic influence against sustainable motor vehicle development and manufacture on a large scale.
Great looking shop, and as always, very organized. The 10R80 MHT in PHEV trim is used in the Lincoln Aviator "Grand Touring" trim level. You mentioned Navigator, hopefully that will have it someday as well!
Wow Professor John Kelly, your classroom looks like a museum for electric vehicle components. So clean and organized! Very impressive!
Thank you very much! It has been a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun too.
