I have a Matco H234134Z unit which seems to be identical to this machine and my display went blank today and although the fan comes on the control panel is inoperative... I am thinking the control unit assembly needs to be repaired or replaced.....any suggestions? BTW loved watching your video and explanations!!

Thanks for the feedback! I was lucky and my display was fine. My first thought is a bad connection. I’d start with examining all of the connectors on and around the controller for issues.

Does it respond to any buttons? Or completely dead?

    Nice video!
I have a problem with mine (different brand) where recovery is taking long time. I started to inspect it and took apart some lines in the system. First I closed the ISV valves so any refrigerant wouldn’t be lost. Then I started to open some lines and noticed that refrigerant was escaping. This must be refrigerant that is still stuck in the lines since the ISV is closed right? Problem was it was quite much refrigerant that was released so I closed the lines again.
Am I right thinking this must be residual refrigeration that is in the lines and not refrigerant from the ISV?

If you are sure that the ISV is isolated then it would have to be refrigerant still in the lines or another component. If it is a liquid then as it boils off its temperature should drop so you may be able to tell where it is trapped by checking for a cold area.

I noticed one check valve located between the condenser and filter that was stuck in closed position, that is probably why the gas/liquid accumulated in the lines and inside the big replaceable filter. I cleaned and freed the valve so it’s moving correctly. But recovery is basically not working at all, I can hear the compressor working but nothing happens.
      Any suggestions are appreciated!
