- I cannot believe it's already November and the 2023 holiday season is here. There's no better way to kick off the season than to go out and immerse yourself in all the beautiful Christmas decor so that's what we're doing in today's video. You picked out some very nice things, great tastel. The last two ornaments are modeled after cardboard houses that were made in the thirties and forties called putz houses. They were made when people did not have money during hard times. I have four vintage ones out now, and just love them. It's hard to find the cardboard ones.

As a French guy it’s always so strange to see people in hot countries or zone, during Christmas time. For me Christmas time is cold and snowy haha
Well, in the nativity scenes that include a tree, it's typically a palm tree, so 🤷🏽♀️ lol. But what shocks me most is they'll go heavy on the flocking!

Such a cozy vlog ⛄Yeah I agree about sticking to your style. Every year my grandmother, in addition to buying more decor, would pull out allll of her decorations from years past. And some things just don't maintain well over the years, like tinsel. I love the little houses though, with snow on the rooftops.

IM SAT!!! LOVED this so much. I always decorate for Halloween 🎃 because it’s my fave holiday but i really need to get inspiration for Christmas and this video will definitely help. It’s called a pot rest or trivet. Cloth ones are not my style I like cast iron which would suit your home as well. Jury’s out on the candlesticks as a bit bulky but love the bell wreath & wood tree. I added a touch of whimsy to my formal white & gold dinner service with china s & p penguins in black white & gold so I know where you are coming from with the snowmen s & p. Tree baubles look lovely. The star I would put on the wall unless your tree is really really big! My taste has changed over the years & each year I change it up on the colour veering towards white & crystal & neutrals now my kids have grown. Funny enough the trees have grown too into more rooms as the kids come back for Christmas. Black watch tartan looks beautiful with a plain black or white tablecloth. You could use them as a place mat too.

I often find Christmas decor quite tacky but the salt and pepper grinders were very cute.
Crate and Barrel looked quite smart, if a little like an upmarket IKEA or Habitat.

OK my first question is do you drive a European car? It seemed either that you were a passenger in a car or you were driving a European car (where the driver is on the opposite side as in here if the US). I really like the treetop are you found it's definitely vintage looking and fairly unique at that. I think when you were describing the kitchen napkins/hand towels it’s pronounced tartan as in a Scottish tartan kilt….. unless I’m mistaken, in which case I apologize……. Looking forward to the decorating video.
