This song is very apt considering what madness is happening in the World at the moment, it a shame that certain countries rulers haven't listened to this song and realised what misery they are bringing to the World and put an end to it.
@@marymoore8996 I don't have Irish blood in me either unfortunately, but Irish music is truely THE BEST!!!! Especially songs like this. Might get a blood transfusion when I get to Ireland. Only way I can claim to have Irish blood in me.😁🇦🇺♥️🇮🇪
I grew up listening to The Irish Rovers because of my mother. I think I knew their music before I knew the popular 80's hits! Still listening today, and this has become my newest favorite song. It's nice to hear music that isn't vulgar or derogatory and that you can let your children listen to without having to worry about negative influences.
Cannot put into words how much I love this! I have listened to The Irish Rovers my whole life and the music never fails to make me smile. Thank you! ❤️
Been listening to the Irish Rovers for Decades. Played the Unicorn on a portable Record Player. THIS is by far one of my favorites. Hey Boys, Thanks For Singing us a Song.
I’ve been a fan of theirs for about 50 years, since I was a little girl. I’ve met them on several occasions. My parents and their best friends LOVED going to see them in concert and my closest sister and I got to go along many times. I love them!
I'm young and from Brazil 🇧🇷 but in a year I'm listening to The Irish Rovers, you were with me in the moments of sadness and happiness I could only thank you, I will listen to you for the rest of my life, thank you
My grandparents emigrated from Ireland as teens and got to work making a life; they weren't told how important it is to pass along the stories, the language, and the music of their childhoods. What I learned of my Irishness was though the Rovers on their turntable; always and only the Rovers. It is a gossamer thin but unbreakable strand to my past, my people's people, and the forgotten/lost culture that many of us experience. Thank you.
All of a sudden half of me's a young boy again mashing rewind and play on my cassette tape of The Unicorn over and over; the other half of me's crying his eyes out in the present day and could hardly explain why.
I am actually am Indian and I recently discovered this band and now i wonder why didn't i discovered them earlier or why they are so underrated in other countries like in mine. I mean even though it's Irish music what's bad in listening it as long as you like it. I don't have words to describe how good their songs are. I truely appreciate their work and music❣️
I am here after played the maid behind the bar and drowsy maggie in my highschool on México and i want to Say that i love the irish folk music, ever since i listened to it like background music on Spongebob as a kid until this very day it has given me joy and pleasure, Also i can Say that when i listen the rovers, the Clancys or some anonymous artists here in internet i feel a desire of play it, dance it i don't know be with Lots of people on a pub or a stage playing it, thanks for read me, sorry for Bad English and happy Saint Patricks day! Listening to the Irish Rovers for many years makes me happy to know that there is a Group that can bring us joy happiness and life.. Love the Irish Rovers...
I've only recently discovered your music, and I've loved every single one of your songs. Your music makes me feel warm and happy inside, more than anything else I've ever listened to. Thank you so much for bringing me some happiness in these rough few years!

Great song. Last night before bed I was listening to the penny whistle man on TH-cam That is one of my favourites. This has become one of my new favourites. So glad I found this song.
I remember the Irish Rovers from way back when The Unicorn first came out. I watched every episode of the television show. I have many of the albums, although not perhaps all of the newer ones. I've just run across this song fairly recently, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you.

One of THE most poignant messages today...let's all find a way to come together and just remember the GOOD days, and the good company of each other, no matter our differences. Rovers, I found out about this song recently and in three words, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. God bless ye laddies, and I look forward to seeing and hearing what else you've got for us in 2023-and I hope more people find out as well. Take care, ALL of you-this little "leprechaun" in the Southeastern US (North Carolina) calls you what I refer to as "DAMMMNNN good folk." And as always...may ye be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead! :)
Awesome song and video, gentlemen--it speaks perfectly to this crazy upside-down world we're living in. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone. Greetings from Pennsylvania☘☘
Wow. I eally enjoyed this, and I realized something. With all the piano and such, and the way the beats work at points between the verses, it actually reminds me of the fairly complex pieces you find in some anime series for some reason. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what it's reminding me of but definiely a couple of Studio Ghibli ones. Of course those don't ahve the irish instruments, it goes without saying, but this piece just oozes style and honestly, is very, very well composed.

If so, they're in the fine tradition of self-referential Celtic songs like:
