I’ve just had a look at mine it was set at 15kph I’m in UK so not sure if that’s what they are set to here? I’ve upped it to 25 which is max it will allow will try it out in morning

Do you know how to remove back wheel? so that the motor is disconnected from the battery? would be a big help if you do as i need to put new tire on.
The plug is hidden in the framework. You have to disconnect the gear cable pull that through the frame towards the derailer then you can get the connector out of the frame.
hi the speed limit is only for the throttle or also for pedaling? Can you go at 41km/h only with the pedaling?

The speed limit is in all the modes. Eco witch is the pedalling assist mode, in mid and high that are the throttle mode.
The speed limit is only for the electric motor help. You can reach what ever speed you are capable to pedal without the motor help. I mean, the bike do not limit your speed when pedalling. It stops helping you after 25km/h
The reason could be the controller is Limit this because had a restrictred power energy feed to the motor, the LCD can change the parameter and apply only if the controller hace this capacity. Normally that is to protect by overload of power to the motor in order to avoid damage

Yeah I disconnected mine and mine doesn't go any faster the hub says $350 that's what it will go it goes 24 when I lift up the back tire on the LCD but it still only goes 19 20 when I'm riding it
I changed wheel size to 29 and it went from 20 to 36 while i raise my bike back on idle , 700c setting gives you less (around 34km/h) i think, try it. I also made speed limit to 41 but probably doesnt make a big diference.
That only fools the screen, check with a Garmin Watch or mobile. It is explained in this video:

Will changing 36V to 48V change anything? Give bike more power or can i damage anything by setting higher voltage? :)
I do not think it will have any effect because the battery voltage will still be 36V. No damage I guess. It would be more dangerous if the battery were 48v and you put 36v
Voltage determine the max speed, current determine max torque… u want more speed increase the battery size
I just got my Himo Z20. Cool and fun bike. But i wonder if you managed to unlock more speed eventually? Also according to the graph you reached 45km/h which is very impressive was it from a hill or without decline? Did the engine helped more than 25km/h? Thanks
It was going downhill the engine did not help after 25. I'm going to test if reducing the wheel diameter it helps after 25km/h.

What if it won't go past 15 mph but the controller is maxed out at 25 mph?
This method can really only reduce the speed. The promotion does not give real results. The 25 km limit remains. In addition, the medium mode begins to work as the maximum - 25 km.
FYI: on my recently purchased ZB20 (not MAX) I can enter the password protected menu where Hd is fixed to "22" and SL is fixed to "25". Neither of these values can be changed (prolly due to the EN certification?). anyone aware of any trick/hack to change them nevertheless? maybe by using a different password?
and is "AP7 500X" really the display's correct model type? I can't find any manual at all with such a name...

I managed to trim to higher speed i get to 35km/h i did this
Km = 57
BL = 1
OF = 10
HD = 29
BO = 36
PD = 1919
SL = 41km

Press and hold mode button for 8 seconds, when you see Cr in the screen, press plus button until n changes to y and wait 20 seconds
no matter how you adjust the maximum speed, it will not change anyway
And will not affect. Unless you change the controller looks like it is not possible to unlock the speed
Someone set HD=29 (max) then SL to max and it worked apparently

to 29 actually, not 16, 16 will spin faster
unless the KM are measured by pedaling cadence, in which case you are f'ed

If u Change the Wheel size, on the Display, then Set the Speed to 41kph, I Think it tricks the Computer, into giving u more power, Hence, more Speed .. - ???

My personal USER REVIEW : Location UK
FINAL VERDICT : DONT BUY any of these unreliable bikes. They will fail you unsuspectingly in few weeks of usage.
I had two diff brands (one was HIMO Z20 by Xiomi) for few months till recently. Don't be fooled by the fancy specs....
Review points below :
1. The electronics and battery is a gimmick, will FAIL you suddenly after few weeks of use, unexpected power surges and make it ACCIDENT prone on the road.
2. The bike is TOO heavy to fold by just one person and the latches to fold are super hard that fingers slip and hurt. The bike folds too thick which is never shown in the vids properly. Taking them in and out of train was a nightmare
3. Assisted range is LESS than 20 km or 12-13 miles, then it becomes a dead weight to cycle hard. The odo never displays the true range and barely visible in the daytime.
4. Headlight is just a fancy KIDS torchlight. The seat pump is seems good to have at first but adds to deadweight, this impractical, it better to have a small pump handy instead which is just a few grams.
5. The WORST is the customer service, they will motivate you to just get rid of this junk to some unsuspecting second owner, instead to giving a service assistance/ advice or a prompt refund.

I bought myself the bike and I have never been in touch with Himo. As a user of this bike I agree and disagree with some of the things you wrote.
I had the bike for a year and did only 276 Km because of Covid.
1. I had no problem with the baterry or the electronics, no failures. It is true that I did used this bike only 276Km.
2. I agree that the bike is heavy and takes a lot of effort fold but I was able to fold it myself as I demo in the video. It is not a bike that I would bring to the metro because it is to heavy to go on stairs, specially if you have to be changing metro lines.
3. I disagree with the range you say. I tested my self and without pedalling I did 25Km and pedalling between 35 and 40 Km. I did not have any problem to see the odo. The range shown by the baterry indicator is super wrong agree.
4. Headlight I did not used too much at night, I agree that it is not to ride on the darkness but more to be visible while riding in the city with street lamps.
5. No idea never needed.
I think for the price I paid 735€ I got such a good bike. Shame of Covid could not used/tested more...
2 years warranty so if it brakes, i got my money back ore new bike :)
