Having been a base Marth main for the last 4 years, I spent 1500 f2p orbs for him and the two free ones, got +8 (which I think is a pretty low roll). He’s so good for quick map clears!
I tried to save orbs for B! Marth since the cyl results were announced but they had to release D! Lif, L! Claude, Pent and L! Sigurd this year. Fortunately, I got 2 copies of him in first fourty summons along with one B! Eirika and one B! Marianne,then I sparked for another marth. Even at +2 he is so fun to use!

The man seriously has NFU, healing on hit, vantage, a basically permanent all stats +6, and a speed based special that does EF everything Marth wants it to do. In my opinion, him and Eirika are easily the best of the batch.
Got three copies of him, since I just summoned whole badges for the spark. It's kind of annoying that his base kit isn't self sufficient most of the time, but I still enjoy him a bunch. Might give him a foil slot A, dunno.
definitely just use distant counter and give him mystic boost and he'll be more self sufficient. but he is a support unit so you should want to play him with his team anyways. Ashera or a character with Harsh Command+ are good teammates. also other buffing characters are nice with him like Fae or Astram.
He is self sufficient though?? He gets Null Follow up Player Phase guaranteed and with 1 tactic he also activates the damage and healing. and if anything he also can get it for the player phase from his special.
Is Distant Pressure actually good? I don't know if the 5 damage after every battle is worth +5 spd. Edit: By that I mean as a skill on a character, not as a skill on Brave Marth.
I gave my fallen celica distant pressure. And she already has recoil damage because of her weapon. Regardless of that I gave her mystic boost to compensate and it works really well. I’d say the skill is definitely worth it. Hope this helps :)
i paired him with special spiral and it is pretty funny getting a proc every time he literally kills everyone in arena and destroys cancer units like fedelgard with easy
@@lucca3084 I've been saving up orbs ever since last year for him so I'm glad he came out great haha I'm currently using his base kit with mystic boost seal so I don't suffer much with the hp loss from distant pressure, but I do plan on foddering a Marianne for Time's Pulse since it's just a better C slot overall and Atk/Spd Unity for when I'd rather give him extra stats to deal with physical foes than countering ranged units I will end up running him with a far save unit with that second build so he doesn't have to suffer with ranged units
@@light-kun7065 His base is REALLY good, but I'd recommend changing his C and S slot for more usable Tank Skills, I use something between Time's Pulse *for that permanent special* OR Pulse Smoke to save himself from getting special'd and S slot for Mystic Boost for the healing *PRETTY GOOD* or steady breath in order to prevent those guard effects *F! EDELGARD* and *KILL* her.
@@light-kun7065 if you don't want to use steady breath on a 1cd special (I certainly don't lol, it's 1cd) you can put him in range of Brave Lucina. Now Marth gets more stats and ignores guard on enemy phase. Course, that requires having Brave Lucina in the first place.
Use C skill Tactic (Def Tactic, Res Tactic or Spd Tactic) to help with that early stat boosting. And maybe S skill Fortress Def/Res for extra survival. His speed special will do the damage for you.
He wouldn't need it. People think he's susceptible to panic but his kit relies on his teammates' buffs, not so much his. Ive run him while he had a +6 to all stats and panic, as long as the teammates are still buffed he still deletes enemies no problem
with either times pulse or with infantry pulse you can just have marth initiate and after he gives buffs to everyone hide someone within 2 spaces of him and you instantly win.
He does though, he has Null Follow up and an Special that does true damage with the spd to reduce the damage to not die in 1 hit. He can tank a bonfire from Edelgard and kill her with vantage. I don't think people realize how well made this Marth is honestly.

Is Marth that good? On game8 wiki, out of the 4 new heroes, he's the only rated 9.0, all the others are 9.5, so that puts him behind the likes of F/B Edelguard, Fallen Ike (9.5), even Brake Ike is 9.5... (Got a Brave Eirika on my 1st roll, then got Marianne and Gatekeeper as chosen pity/free)

Does anyone know how genesis falchion work? I tried to do the same in this video and other battles but the 5 healing hp is not working. Do you guys know how is works?
So Genesis Falchion has two separate conditions to meet. The first is all stats +5 for initiating or being near an ally (he wants to be within two spaces of an ally anyway, as long as Marth has one buddy his other allies can be literally anywhere). This is the easier of the two to meet (although the other condition is really easy as well). The second condition is tied to the total buffs on his allies. If the total is 10 or higher, he gains Null Follow Up. If the total is 25 or higher, he is granted another atk+5 and heals 5hp per attack that he makes. If the total is a whopping 60 or higher, he gains vantage. Now 60 total buffs seems like a lot, but he will fulfill that condition extremely easily if he uses his special once. Because it gives all allies +6 to all stats, 24x3 is 72 which is more than enough to fulfill this condition. Marth isn't even as susceptible to panic as others would lead you to believe. Because Genesis Falchion checks for buffs on ALLIES, panic on Marth doesn't do anything to stop Falchion's effects. You need to panic his allies instead, which can be a tall order since they aren't required to be near Marth. I hope this cleared some things up
Does the amount of bonuses count or like how much the bonuses give? What I mean is, If I'd use him with ashera who consistently has like +20 Atk, do I get 20 bonuses or..

Ashera would still be a good partner as she can nullify panic on Marth's allies, and can buff them to meet the condition for NFU and potentially the 25 or higher check (at least until Marth uses his special), but she's not strictly necessary.
Really feels like the second place winners were better than the first place but the first place have specific uses that should keep them relevant for longer. Except Erika, she might age better than B! Hector
Marth himself doesn't really care about panic. Genesis Falchion checks for stat bonuses on his allies, not him. If you're that worried about panic, Ashera should be parked near Marth's allies and somebody else can go with Marth to be his "ally within two spaces" friend.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get +60 buffs on turn 1, I'm sure there's a way to do it without Shining Emblem but I'm sure I'll figure it out unless someone here can provide me with some big brain knowledge
It's pretty much impossible since you need +5 on every stats over 3 units. Fortify/Hone Types can only give you 48 at most. Tactics can give 60 if you bring refined Titania and Seth outfitted with Tactics on their C and seal slot that covers all 4 stats. At any rate the Vantage portion isn't important. The most it can do is give him extra 5 HP to survive and you see holw useless 5 HP is mid battle in this video.
Tactics, Rallies and Odd Waves are my guess. Waves are the easiest on turn 1 and Tactics are the best when it comes to consistancy really, but If Marth gives +6 ATK through his special and you replace his C slot skill with SPD TACTIC, and his S Slot with DEF/RES, you will only get 54 in total. That means someone else would have to have the last TACTICS skill on them to reach 60 in total.

People will see showcases like this and still say things like "maRiaNne iS bEtTeR" because they stan her. Marth is arguably the best or second best, depends on if you already have a f!edel counter. If you dont, then it's definitely eirika. Otherwise marth would likely be the best option.
Key word "Arguably" and "Would" instead of "Definitively" and "Is" He's great, but he's just the newest shiny inf sword, he's got 0 longevity. Gatekeeper and Marianne, by comparison, have completely unique niches. Erika also reduces foes Def by a huge amount meaning she's unlikely get crept soon either.
Erika > Marianne > gatekeeper > Marth The more unique units age best, even thou Erika is stupid good with time she Will fall because at the she is Just another blue lance cav a Very good one but Future units Will probably surpass her, same with marth

Marianne too tho, passive dancing is insane on both offense, defense and pve Also she’s the one who will age best since her strength is her utility instead of raw power

no, you're severely underestimating this B!Marth my friend. This guy is seriously one of the best Sword Infantries in the game. Don't forget that his sword has a great player phase setup since he can activate his null follow up and all of his other effs if you initiate combat with him. ALSO panics on him mean nothing when he only really cares about your allies buffs. ALSO ALSO his Special with 1 cooldown that gives you the ability of focusing on Speed without losing attack and tank power since his special uses your speed to deal true damage AND spurn is awesome. I seriously think this guy is one of the best units in the game and probably the best overall unit from the brave banner. Eirika is also amazing since she specializes in player phase builds and killing the enemy fast and quick and getting out. WHICH kinda depends since she does suffer a bit from the lack of tank and being a cavalry.
Really? Gate keeper I can see but Marth Can be a Player Phase Nuke with Windsweep, or an enemy phaser with Null C disrupt as a vantage king or a tank with his native spurn. He's self sufficient with his special, giving himself buffs and at start of the turn, gives enough buffs to allies so his weapon gives NFU, and after he triggers his special, he gives himself 5 attack, heals 5 hp and gets vantage. Marianne has also a really unique special and insane DR that makes her into an amazing unit to use in GaleForce WoM strats, and generally useful in other compositions and PvE

He comes with DC in his base kit, if you don’t like the recoil damage from Distant Pressure, you could always just keep DC

It kinda saves you the need of picking between DC and a Push skill, so I'd say it's worth using.

I think B. Marth's biggest weakness is his type, that he's just "another boring sword Infantry". But is an incredible supporting character on his own.

I got a couple gatekeepers and one of each of the others so I'm quite happy
I decided to give him time pulse and A different seal since he is stronger with Allies
for its brave eirika and brave gatekeeper who are my favs so good.

People will see showcases like this and still say things like "maRiaNne iS bEtTeR" because they stan her. Marth is arguably the best or second best, depends on if you already have a f!edel counter. If you dont, then it's definitely eirika. Otherwise marth would likely be the best option.

The more unique units age best, even thou Erika is stupid good with time she Will fall because at the she is Just another blue lance cav a Very good one but Future units Will probably surpass her, same with marth

no, you're severely underestimating this B!Marth my friend. This guy is seriously one of the best Sword Infantries in the game. Don't forget that his sword has a great player phase setup since he can activate his null follow up and all of his other effs if you initiate combat with him. ALSO panics on him mean nothing when he only really cares about your allies buffs. ALSO ALSO his Special with 1 cooldown that gives you the ability of focusing on Speed without losing attack and tank power since his special uses your speed to deal true damage AND spurn is awesome. I seriously think this guy is one of the best units in the game and probably the best overall unit from the brave banner. Eirika is also amazing since she specializes in player phase builds and killing the enemy fast and quick and getting out. WHICH kinda depends since she does suffer a bit from the lack of tank and being a cavalry.

Really? Gate keeper I can see but Marth Can be a Player Phase Nuke with Windsweep, or an enemy phaser with Null C disrupt as a vantage king or a tank with his native spurn. He's self sufficient with his special, giving himself buffs and at start of the turn, gives enough buffs to allies so his weapon gives NFU, and after he triggers his special, he gives himself 5 attack, heals 5 hp and gets vantage.
Marianne has also a really unique special and insane DR that makes her into an amazing unit to use in GaleForce WoM strats, and generally useful in other compositions and PvE
