You are 100% correct about the Beyond Meat Burger funk in your house after cooking it. It will linger for like 2 days, and it ain't that pleasant. I now wrap it in aluminum foil and bake it in the toaster oven, and it won't stink up your house as much. The 2nd plan is to cook it outdoors on a portable heating element. Then the funk will stay outside, not in your house. Also, they are LOADED with salt, which means I can only eat like half a patty, because I have naturally high blood pressure, and it will skyrocket my BP. So if you have bp issues, you may wanna either stay away from BMB all together, or do like I do, and just eat half a patty.

It's so interesting that so many different nations have their own types of dumplings! It's the most international dish. We have them too. Russian dumplings are called "pel'meni".
Their Vegan salad dressings ( like the Green Goddess one) are amazing !! The Caesar and Carrot Ginger Miso are my faves. They are so thick that I also use them as sandwich spreads.

I like this kind of haul. I can see inside the package and get a report on what it tastes like, smells like, and if it's a good or bad value. I like the "Tour de Store" style, too. I might see something that maybe I don't like, but maybe a friend has been looking for.
A good ol' haul, cook up and table review. 😋 The dried mango, watermelon and banana sound good. I wish they wouldn't add so much sugar to the one's I can buy here, it's just over the top. But, I'd be stocking up on those for sure!

I like to pan fry them a bit first (you don't even need oil) to get them crispy, then add the water and steam with a lid on, like the directions say. I didn't see you try the pringle style chips?

Really like your descriptions of the flavors! I would really like if you gave the nutritional info (at least the basic macros) and perhaps, some of the ingredients in the list. This would help me get an idea of the products integrity. I really prefer healthier options, so getting some general info would be great.
Beyond Burgers do smell like cat food when they're uncooked but they taste really good. The Trader Joe's ones definitely don't cook the same way or look as good but the taste was good.

Thanks for the video. Beyond burgers seemed weird to me I bought a 2-pack once - cooked one didn't finish it and threw out the uncooked one. It seemed like they were too close to an actual meat burger and it did smell odd when I cooked it - ill take a good black bean burger instead
Right now- I'm noshing on Maple & Sea Salt Kettle Corn made, amazing Vegan substitute for Caramel Corn, Delicious!! TJ'S Bamba are BOMB! Not too sweet or salty. My go-to cheap munchies plus, my Doggos go ape-shit when I open a bag. I Love them! TJ's Japanese-Style Fried Rice is also soo good.
I like these kinds of videos I just wanted to comment on the end of the video where u mentioned how TJs calls their soy/oat milk “beverage” now and their ice cream “frozen desert” it’s because of all the issues vegan companies have been having and how some places there are laws (I think) being passed saying you can’t call milk alternatives “milk” same with meat products like burgers, hotdogs, wings, and things like ice cream too. Big dairy and meat is saying it’s “misleading” for the consumer 🙄
Yes, I believe it's because their parent company is ALDI, a German owned company and they can't call things the same as dairy products over there. From what I've heard.

Maybe the smell is due to us vegans being super sensitive to cooking meat-type odors. In addition to the Green Goddess dressing, they have a newish Spicy Cashew Butter one that is amazing! I'm going to try the turkey burgers, since it appears I'll be spending T-Day alone, poor me!

I've never understood why some trader joe's brand stuff has the vegan label and other stuff doesn't. Like i assume the cookie butter wasn't vegan bc it doesn't have the label and seems just too good to be true to be vegan. Have you confirmed w them? And w the saddle potato chips, someone told me they are prob not vegan bc mono and diglycerides are usually non vegan. any idea if true?
The problem with so many "Vegan" products lately is that healthy and vegan are not always the same. Too many of those products contain oils of some kind which are nothing but empty calories. The more I read the labels ,the harder it is to find really oil(fat) free processed foods. I know you generally avoid vegan junk food, but I guess you have to sacrifice for the sake of viewers who don't mind additives..eh? Cheers, Rik Spector

You are giving them so much business by featuring their store and products in front of 180,000 people. They should be grateful. I hope they were at least nice to you about it.

Trader Joes is out of my way and not that close to where I live. If it weren't for your videos featuring their new products I wouldn't bother making the trip.

Strange because at Aldi the Soy milk has soy milk printed on the carton as well as the Almond milk and Oat milk.
