Relya oh I get your point. That’s what I was saying too.. like it’s too polished, there’s a saying “so bad that it’s so good” and the final song is the opposite of that phrase. It’s “too perfect to be good” I’m not saying it’s bad but this is better.

No creo que haya sido tanto la promoción, sino por el cambio tan grande que hizo Katy en esa era, como hablar de política, colaborar con migos que en ese tiempo habían sido acusados de homofóbicos, y el cambio de look principalmente, todo eso no le gusto mucho a la gente, por eso no fue un éxito al igual que sus antiguos álbumes, la verdad witness tenía bastante potencial, pero Katy se apresuró mucho para hablar de esos temas.

this version is more raw, more personal for me, idk how to explain. the parts where there is no katy singing, makes the music more reflexive and interesting, like she's fed up of being all that things that industry wants her to be, and now she just wants to have some piece of mind, and her voice seems more tired as well, like she's tired of it all. and other thing that i love about this versuion, is that there is no whistle at the end, which i personally hate

I think maybe part of the reason witness did so bad was because she was trying to connect with her fans, and it ended up being a disconnect. the whole album doesn't feel relatable at all, and kind of like the cliche forced album every celebrity eventually puts out. but this version is so much better, and the calmer tone is much more relaxing and inviting
