LYRICS:
Are we crazy
Living our lives through a lens
Trapped in our white picket fence
Like ornaments
So comfortable, we’re living in a bubble, bubble
So comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, trouble
Aren’t you lonely
Up there in utopia
Where nothing will ever be enough
Happily numb
So comfortable, we’re living
in a bubble, bubble
So comfortable, we cannot
see the trouble, trouble
So put your rose-colored glasses on
And party on
Turn it up, it’s your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it up, keep it on repeat
Stumbling around like a wasted zombie
Yeah, we think we’re free
Drink, this one’s on me
We’re all chained to the rhythm
To the rhythm
To the rhythm
Turn it up, it’s your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it up, keep it on repeat
Stumbling around like a wasted zombie
Yeah, we think we’re free
Drink, this one’s on me
We’re all chained to the rhythm
To the rhythm
To the rhythm
Are we tone deaf
Keep sweeping it under the mat
Thought we could do better than that
I hope we can
So comfortable, we’re living in a bubble, bubble
So comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, trouble
So put your rose-colored glasses on
And party on
Turn it up, it’s your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it up, keep it on repeat
Stumbling around like a wasted zombie
Yeah, we think we’re free
Drink, this one’s on me
We’re all chained to the rhythm
To the rhythm
To the rhythm
Turn it up, it’s your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it up, keep it on repeat
Stumbling around like a wasted zombie
Yeah, we think we’re free
Drink, this one’s on me
We’re all chained to the rhythm
To the rhythm
To the rhythm
It is my desire
Break down the walls to connect, inspire
Up in your high place, liars
Time is ticking for the empire
The truth they feed is feeble
As so many times before
They greed over the people
They stumbling and fumbling
And we about to riot
They woke up, they woke up
the lions
Turn it up, it’s your favorite song
Dance, dance, dance to the distortion
Turn it up, keep it on repeat
Stumbling around like a wasted zombie
Yeah, we think we’re free
Drink, this one’s on me
We’re all chained to the rhythm
To the rhythm
To the rhythm

Ladies ant gentlemen, welcome to the 77th Annual Hunger Games.
Its April 2024, let's see how many legends are listening to this incredible song
This song contains so much symbolism, seeing all the people in the comments being oblivious and myopic to it’s words literally proves Katy’s point.
This is the scariest song I've ever heard, it gives me goosebumps and make me uneasy. So good yet so scary - the meaning behind this catchy rhythm.
i wish i was a blissfully unaware child again so i wouldn't be sobbing over a katy perry song rn
“So comfortable we’re living in a bubble, bubble. So comfortable we cannot see the trouble, trouble”
This is the saddest song with the happiest beat
"Chained to the Rhythm" by Katy Perry is a pop song that carries a social and political message. The lyrics critique societal complacency and the tendency for people to become numb or indifferent to important issues. The "rhythm" in the song represents the routine and distractions that people often immerse themselves in, while being oblivious to the larger problems in the world.
I don’t think people are grasping what she is saying here, she was telling us and we ignored it
This song actually has been such a warning right under our nose for years and we didn’t notice
this song is So much deeper then people realize..
Anyone in 2024 🤷🏽♀️?
May 2024 anyone?
Basically she's saying that, were all so comfortable that we do not even realize the scary realities of this world and it just goes on and on, it's pretty much just like saying the tune of the music is so fun we aren't aware of the deep lyrics this song contains.
Everybody thought this song was a flop at first but personally I think it's great because it addresses a lot of social issues that we're not so aware of today. It gradually becomes catchier as you listen to it on repeat to
I didn't understand back then bc I was 14 but now as a 21 year old, I 100% get it and sadly this is still the world we live in. Most of us are waking up now tho
April 2024 anyone?
As a child i thought it was just a funny and happy song, but when grew up I just realized , that it’s a song with deep meaning
I cannot believe it took you guys 3 YEARS to figure out the message of this song. Truly was ahead of her time. She was awake before us, and now she can’t even crack the top 10 and she’s actually scared now to promote her music and speak up on political issues because of how twisted her words got and how traumatized she was from the hate over a haircut and songs with REAL MEANING. KATY deserves better. My ride or die.
How can this song keep getting better each year?????
