TCNick3: "Educations does not equal intelligence" Also TCNick3: "Link, the young adult known for coming up with solutions for puzzles while travelling the world by himself and using telepathy can barely read or write"
This list is all sorts of wrong. He place Shulk a researcher, inventor craftsman and mechanic in the critical thinkers tier. And placed Simon and Richter in the barely can read tier because they are from the past. Who ever made this list is badly informed.
I feel that Peach allowing herself to get kidnapped dozens of times by the same guy, while never taking any sort of precautions in case it happens again, really takes away from her intelligence
bruh lmaoo i didn't know anything about fates so corrin was originally a bit higher in that tier but when i asked everyone said they were dumb as hell so i had to re-edit that portion to include that lmaoo
Nick: They're ranked by leadership, strategy, and ingenuity Metaknight: * Builds a flying ship, is a battle genius, and leads an army * Pac-Man: * Just has sex and has a son * Nick: Yup, Pac-Man is clearly more intelligent than Metaknight.
@@TCNick3DISCLAIMER: I don’t play inkling (I play splatoon) You put inkling in the same tier as all the children, even tho they ENTIRELY REBUILT SOCIETY Good video tho
Setting aside Shulk being a professional researcher and the Aegis's who "supercomputer" thing. Rosalina is actually really impressive in the smarts department when looking at her backstory. She managed to repair an alien spaceship in her early teens almost singlehandedly. Later she supervised the construction of an entire spaceship. No wonder Mario Kart claims she has "a passion for Motorcycles;" woman's a freaking engineer when off work from watching the entire cosmos.
Okay, so for the Links. Young Link- yeah fair, he was raised by a tree. HOWEVER. BOTW Link- was canonically not only the son of the knight captain but was also the best knight at a young age. That implies FORMAL knight training and high intelligence, at least as far as is important to rise through knightly ranks. Toon Link- grew up on an island, yes, but he had one teacher who had taught him combat and another who taught him... well like actually world knowledge and considered Link very smart. And for all of them, they all solve tons of dungeon puzzles and are able to pick up and master even the most obscure Magics and items and master them instantly. That’s pretty smart.
Bowser is ranked smartest among the entire cast. Meanwhile: He fights on a bridge underneath lava behind an easy to trigger switch and leaps super high giving Mario enough time run behind him, activate the switch, destroy the bridge and have him die in the lava like an idiot.
Nick: “I won’t rate them based on how good they can do on tests” Also Nick: Rates them based on how formal their education is and how well the can read/write
Formal education doesn’t equal test IMO. Just because you did bad on a test doesn’t mean you are dumb, you’re just not good at test and studying. What he was getting at is intelligence isn’t something that can be boiled down to a fraction of right and wrong answers. This is rather ironic as the video is about rating intelligence through tiers, but that’s whatever
@@77dead I realized that long ago when he wrongly thought having the ability to see the future means that you're smart. Like bro if you can see the future, that just means you have more information, not that you're smart.
@@supreme_king_obama1158 There is a difference between intelligence and knowlege. You can know a lot af things and be veeeeeeery dumb, and be one of the best strateges in the world while having mostly no education. Intelligence is the ability to use your knowlege and physical abilities to your advantage. School mostly gives us knowlege. They don't really teach you how to think by yourself.
@@AlexAlexAlexAlexAlexAlex Steve found out by himself about potion brewing, interdimentional traveling, succeeded on leaving the end, and you could say that he understands phycology by the way he lowers the prices with the villagers

Excuse me, Yoshi can drive a car, and can definitely read. He also comprehends the rules of Tennis, Golf, Volleyball, dodgeball, Basketball, and Soccer. Give the Dino boy more credit. Donkey and Diddy can also read and write canonically
Luigi should be leagues higher than Mario, considering the fact he starred in the game mario goes missing. A game where he goes on solving puzzles involving geography to save his brother.
Luigi knows a lot about geography thanks to ‘Mario is Missing’. Plus he expresses more emotions than his brother, so he’s also more emotionally intelligent. Mario was also in the military delivering bombs in ‘Game and Watch; Mario’s Bombs Away’, he’s a boxing referee in Punch Out NES, he and Luigi mastered and are well-rounded in any sport you can name. Mario has been shown he can read, as he reads a letter from Bowser in Hotel Mario. Mario can fly a small jet as seen at the end of Super Mario Land. Luigi reads Mario a letter in Super Paper Mario. There’s probably a few things I missed but at the very least Mario and Luigi can both read.
Yeah as shown by the first goddanm seconds of Mario 64 In fact its the same for yoshi as he can atleast read signs in Mario 64 DS. All mario caracters know how to race too.
You know shulks a scientist and his gameplay in his game is strategy based off of positioning and leads everyone near the end of the game. Definitely needs to be higher
And Mythra calculated the exact power needed to defeat Mikhail and Patroka without destroying the surrounding terrain in seconds. Shulk also creating a weapon (with a small amount of help) that could defeat otherworldy beings that can't even be damaged by normal weapons
I feel like Jr should be low “giga brain”/S tier, he’s known in his lore for being a canonical super genius. Like alongside being listed as breathing fire his superpower is “Galaxy brain”, he figured out how to steal from E.Gad and completely rig a police force to stop his enemy in his tracks from the shadow *as like a 6 YO*
I would say Dedede is the same tier as K.Rool. While he appears dumb and short-tempered, he does have a fair amount of intellectual feats. His engineering skills are high where he was able to make a Kirby cloning machine, a mech, and add a jet engine with precision bearings into his mallet. Not to mention he was able to strategize a way to take *all* of dreamland’s food supply in one night.
"intelligence isn't just how well you do on a test" *Ranks link fairly low for being uneducated despite solving numerous puzzles and figuring out bosses weaknesses. Certainly not the smartest character, but he's gotta be somewhat better than that. He also rates kids low for not having education which again defeats the original idea. Many kids are smarter than adults, they are just ignorant.
He ranked so many people low because they “don’t have a formal education”. meta knight built and commands a battleship but he didn’t go to college so he’s dumb I guess.
Link is able to solve complex puzzles, he deserves to be higher. Pit can't read, he should be lower. Isabelle has a lot of engineering degrees, so she should be way higher. Ness became the essence of the universe and basically gained the knowledge of everything, canonically the smartest and deserves his own tier
i dont think the puzzles link solves are that complex, since the average player solves them too, implying link has pretty average intelect (about solving puzzles)
In Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, Ryu taught Hulk how to control his anger. This implies that Ryu is also a skilled teacher, and so should be in a higher tier.
ryu taught hulk how to controll his temper fairly well your right, maybe not as much as professor hulk in avengers end game but yes that was a pretty big part of marvel vs capcom infinite to me. but then ryu couldnt take his own teachings and goes hay wire with the dark hadou later in the game.
Two notes: Unlike most Fire Emblem lords, Roy is his own army's primary strategist, which I feel puts him a step above Marth, Lucina, etc. Maybe not Big Brain tier, but I'd argue higher within the Smart tier than the other FE characters there. Chrom was once witnessed to eat an orange without peeling it, which I feel puts him a step below Marth, Lucina, etc. Maybe not Has good critical thinking tier, but I'd argue lower within the Smart tier than the other FE characters there.
I’m just genuinely shocked that a bunch of _canonically inbred 11th century Fire Emblem nobility_ are ranked so high intelligence while an ace pilot like Capitan Falcon and a redstone engineer like Steve are placed in low tier. Like seriously, there isn’t enough strategy and tactics in the world that could help a whole army of dumb medieval peasants win against 1 blue falcon or even 1 redstone machine.
@@TheRealHelvetica i think theyre being ranked within a vacuum. Its kinda unfair to rank them like that since yeah obviously theyd be lower since the FE characaters are a tier below "modern technology" in a sense
12:30 You did Isabelle dirty.. In Happy Home Designer, she complains about mayors destroying the town or disappearing, making her overwhelmed and stressed with all the work. She's clumsy and a little bit of an airhead but very intelligent. Her twin brother, Digby, remarks that she has engineering degrees from nineteen different universities.
In the kirby anime there's an entire episode about how king dedede can't read Also according to the anime, metaknight describes kirby as "he cannot speak, he can barely think!"
Game and anime are in different universes. In game kirby has ability to drive in several games, operate a mech, get medical license and even hold a job and cook along with several other feata, but on other side he cannot communicate, is very simple minded and so on. Apprently post his anti hero arc dedede apparently is a good ruler and even takes precautions against some threats even if not always succesful.
Shulk is a proper ISTJ researcher paper-writing nerd scientist fella in his home context, bless him this tier list is just about all he's got going for him before his quest begins. Can't expect you to know that without playing the game of course, but yeah Shulk was probably my first choice for the top tier lol Love the video pal, you had to get so many clips, the tier list itself was barely even in it, what a legend
i appreciate the criticism without being rude! but i actually did play xenoblade, i still lowkey think he's where he belongs in the tier never left his home town before the quest, and was only an apprentice mechanic so nothing too crazy- good with his hands but i don't think that necessarily translates to being top tier intelligent (unless you're thinking of late game stuff in which i'm not including in this vid since we only get base form shulk for smash)
While DK may be an animal, he is capable of critical thinking. In subspace emisary he decided to sacrifice himself for Diddy and Fox to survive. DK deserves more man
King DDD literally can talk in the anime and taught himself to fly via inflating himself because he was jealous of Kirby, I’d say that’s smarter than an animal
I consider anime Dedede and game Dedede as different. In the anime, it was shown multiple times that he has the intelligence of slightly above a sack of bricks. (Well most of cappy town/Pupupu village are pretty stupid for falling for his schemes everyday.) He gets outsmarted by children, pretty much every episode. He needs a snail in order to get many of his plans rolling. (To be fair, Escargoon is very intelligent.) He cannot even read.
Dedede has also talked some in the games (namely the Revenge of the King subgame in Super Star Ultra and in Kirby Battle Royale), so it's not just the anime that he talks in.
I'd say Joker deserves at least to be in the Big Brain category. While it's true he is only 17, the dude is leads the Phantom Thieves and does so pretty competently. Lets not forget he has to figure out who their targets are, where their hidden treasure is, but also has to send the calling card and successfully infiltrate the Palaces within in a set time frame while still keeping his studies up in school. All that should easily put him in the Big Brain category.
I know this is late, but don't forget that he also knows how to craft infiltration tools. He manages Training, Palaces and School at the same time without his skills dropping. His time management is amazing
Meta Knight is probably one of the smartest considering he's clearly a master strategist (meta knights revenge) Commands an army HAS A HALBERD and fairs better than the others on landia also unlike most people knows how to run away from a fight
This whole list is wrong tbh. Bowser being top spot despite messing up simple things like putting giant "remove floor" buttons in his castles and getting tricked so often in the RPGs. ROB is somehow the dumbest yet he's a robot who can drive go karts, solve puzzles in gyromite, and was shown to be capable of emotion and even leadership in brawl's subspace emissary. Or Steve being so low despite being an absolutely ridiculous engineer. It's a pretty shitty list tbh
Meta Knight: Builds giant airship, capable of laying waste to cities and carrying a crew hundreds strong, all by himself" Nick: "...counts for something I guess"
If we counted Steve as a representation of every Minecraft player, even the ones that, you know, did things like build FUNCTIONING COMPUTERS inside of the game, then I think he could be ranked higher.
And if you wanna strictly stay to In Game things without the coding and stuff, Steve became capable of understanding the speech of higher dimensional beings and even reading their thoughts
@@elplaceholder Expert doesn’t even do it justice because yes he can make iron swords that can hit creatures made purely of bones that doesn’t break, but he can also use an anvil to imbue magical powers from books onto his expertly crafted weapons and tools.
As much as I LOVE the idea of Bowser being the most Giga-Brained of the entire Smash cast, I'm like 90% certain the dude just has geniuses working under him in his army, and isn't personally drawing up the blueprints himself. Tho he should def get points for being able to successfully lead his entire army
Yeah Bowser's inside Story i feel best shows this as it's the game where you interact with bowser the most. It's mostly his assistant that made the plans
King DeDeDe built mutiple castle, a sentient attack blimp and had the genius idea to split the star road to avoid nightmare attacks. Dude should be way higher
Yeah the Belmont's should be higher on the list as they are a noble house. It you put the royals up higher the Belmonts deserve better as well for the same reasons
I feel like Steve is hard to pin down, because it's not really fair to say that Steve's accomplished everything that anyone playing survival's ever done, so it's hard to say how intelligent he is redstone wise. Also, in game I think it's kinda vague how the enchantment table works, if that's what you mean by reading ancient languages
I think that originally, enchantments were completely random and unlabeled because steve _didnt_ understand what he was doing and just kind of mashed tools into a table. But you’re right that he’s got a wrinkley brain for being able to craft complicated circuits like comparators
Yeah, Steve should be ranked way higher. Like the ability to build basic redstone machines requires way more brainpower than what any of those 11th century inbred Fire Emblem nobility are even capable of.
Me: Botw link has to be really high considering his ingenuity and creativity and the fact that we can assume since he was the son of the royal knights he would've had a great education. He also spends a lot of his time solving puzzles and has figured out how to save 4 giant divine beasts through solving many puzzles. Nick: He can probably read and write
10:04 idk if you’ve played Xenoblade but shulk is an engineer who’s showcased as never getting out of the lab and has a lot of curiosity throughout the game. He’s not a genius but I’d put him one tier higher.
King dedede should be barely one teir higher since he he removed the star rod so that nightmare could not give every one nightmares constantly and then tried to beg Kirby not to do it but Kirby does not have much of a thinking brain. Kirby has been known to been the one who causes the problem is most of his games.
There's also the argument to be made that he made his jet hammer, a giant mech of himself, and possibly the machine that can mass produce clones of Kirby in Kirby Battle Royale.
Ehh he kinda missed some things. Like how pacman literally had his own series where he lived in a village w other pacmen and women and reads and stuff through the entire game. Not saying he placed him wrongly, just didn't fully research, but I don't blame him when he has 70+ characters to research
Ddd is smarter than you give him credit for, canonically he was so obsessed with being better than Kirby he trained himself to fly and inhale, he wasn’t born with those abilities
According to Super Mario Galaxy 2, Yoshies can write in our language as good as a human being would do. Also, some of them have human-like lifestyles, such as watching movies while eating pop-corn. They also know how a monetary system works, explaining how can they buy stuff and how to drive. So, I'd say Yoshi is way smarter than he looks.
SPOILERS: Given I literally beat Xenoblade today, Shulk should be a lot higher, he has vision even without the Monado and is essentially a god at the end of the game.
@@Redfiery_Anders yeah you’re right however the thing is endgame Shulk and Shulk in smash is kinda different since Shulk in smash still wields the Monado I which signifies that the shackles have not been released yet and that he’s still early game Shulk. Shulk has not yet possessed the power to have visions without the Monado in smash. Smash Shulk’s goal was still to destroy all the Mechon. Sorry if this is too long xD in a fan of Xenoblade.
Should be like 4 tiers higher, this should is the shulk with base monado, bit even before starting his adventure through bionis he was really really smart, he is a brillian and cultured person that is constantly studying, reading and learning new things. He deserved one of the highest tiers in this list
Ness can be in the Giga Brain tier considering that Ness has got information from "The Truth of The Universe", due to Ness becoming one with the universe he has gained every information in the universe, which is really just more than enough to register him in the Giga Brain tier, But if we're talking about the Ness in the beginning of the game then yeah he is really just your typical kid.

One thing about Wario: I remember he's actually a decently good inventor. Main thing that comes to mind is in the DS game Master of Disguise where he made some helmet that transported him into the world of a TV show. Probably a few more examples elsewhere, but I haven't touched every single thing he's been in.
9:20 Correction, Wario can make his own microgames. He just likes to call up his friends to finish the game as a whole. Megamicro games intro shows this and truthfully Wario's keen eye to know good technology to adapt to sell games shouldnt be overlooked. Every Warioware game has an explanation for how he came across the gimmicks: twist, touchscreen, wiimote and etc. (Snapped as an example, but not a good game) Wario's always made it big with the latest gimmick, but blows all the money quickly. Oxymoron I suppose haha
There's more to base shulk though since he's the head researcher of the *one* sword that saved his race for a time, and even had *correct* theories on how the Monado works. (which was a divine entity)
Same goes for Greninja, who can be quite cunning as well. Combat skills are disregarded here, but being able to accurately compress water to slice through steel and aim them accurately takes some serious calculations.
@@Bapringles Aim them sure, but compressing the water is more of just vague magicky stuff in the context of pokemon, it probably doesn't take any more brain power than Charizard's fire breath

While he (unfortunately) was never made a canonical Smash fighter... holy crap, Tabuu is a genius. My man enslaved an entire race of sentient robots, managed to take over Meta Knight’s airship, figured out how to essentially warp space-time through the use of the Subspace Bombs, and figured out how to use Pikachu to power a research facility. And that’s just the canon stuff.
There's a difference being smart and having common sense Plus we know boswer doesn't highly of Mario so he probably thought he could've never gotten past him
If Banjo and Kazooie are one rank above "dumb animals" because they can drive cars, then shouldn't the Kongs move up since they've been in Mario Kart? Also, where is Mega Man?
mega man has the intelligence of a 10 year old boy and while he probably has a supercomputer for a brain he constantly falls for wily's paper thin disguises so he's probably in the same tier as pit
I think Isabelle and metaknight are the biggest flukes of this list but not everyone in the Read/Write tier has the confidence to make a list like this so well done! (this is a joke, mad respect)
Shulk's visions are a little difficult to judge, true. Actually, in Xenoblade, he doesn't exactly have full control over them - they kinda pop up at random points, and sometimes when he focuses hard on a certain thing.
Put the links way up there, except maybe Toon Link, I found wind wakers puzzles easier, along with phantom hourglass’s. Breath of the wild link has some tough shrines but Young link is equally smart as Ocerina of Time’s adult link who solved the water temple without a guide.

In the story of Splatoon 2 you the agent are technically the last surviving agent because the other agents didn't have the skills as pointed out by Marie. There's gotta be some smarts in there.
How is Steve in the lower tiers? Like… he can straight up build a computer using redstone, let alone be able to enchant stuff in ancient languages. Steve's ingenuity knows no bounds
Those buildings were made by some genius players playing steve, not steve himself, although he's still quite smart being able to craft some preety impressive stuff and enchanting equipment
@@An_Entire_Lime With that logic nothing Steve does is canonical due to the fact that players are doing it as Steve. This is the issue with every sandbox character because it is down to how a particular player will play the game. So, we don't do that and we say that anything a player can do in vanilla is canonical to what Steve is able to do so as not to get the "canonical for each player" problem
@@tecwynjones6532 Steve does have some feats of inteligence, he does know how to craft... everything under the sun, yea the players that choose what and when to craft but the ability to turn some rocks into a functioning arrow launching machine is still from Steve, Same goes for enchanting and potion making, the players place the stuff there but Steve's still the one with the knowledge base to operate those blocks And just like your method of counting everything as canon, if you count all building as non canon to steve's knowledge it avoids the "depending on the player" issue
@@An_Entire_Lime For the computer thing we're discussing, Steve has the knowledge of how everything operates inside the computer (he does craft the components and does interact with them), therefore it isn't a stretch to say that Steve does know how to build a computer using redstone, all he needs to do is place the pieces in the right places. Same goes for building literally anything. Steve can place the blocks down in any configuration, therefore he can build a house, castle, windmill, or anything under the sun, all he needs to do is to know where to place stuff, and what to place down Edit: In any case, players are making Steve do it because the player themselves is Steve
As a HUGE Pokémon fan, seeing Lucario so low hurts. Every single time we have seen one in canon it shows a level of intelligence similar to that of humans. It even has grown to that level without a trainer. And, having access to the ability Justice proves that it does have AT LEAST enough level of sentience to have its own morals, and act on them.
Yeah, I feel he should be big brain at most considering he can do what ryu does and more on his own, and can train itself to become a master at even common language.
You’re literally forgetting Slowking, Alakazam and Metagross. Slowking can speak FLUENT ENGLISH and is one of few Pokémon to do so. Alakazam has 500iq Metagross is 4 supercomputers.
Greninja and Incineroar should likely at least move up one tier, cunning as they are. Yes, Incineroar is actually quite cunning for a brawny bruiser - its main talent is heel-wrestling, after all.
The Kirby Characters are smarter than you think. I originally thought "Yeah Kirby and Dedede ain't that smart." But then I looked into it and King Dedede can build Insane Machinery including robots of himself to Cloning Machines and Kirby has enough Intelligence to pilot a Mech Suit. As for Meta Knight, he is far more intelligent than those two as he's lived for thousands of years with all of them giving him insane experience under his belt.
To be honest, the mecha suit in Planet Robobot has the characteristic to adapt to the one that uses it, so it's not like you need to be smart or anything
Im aware that the Kirby anime is not canon but Meta Knight in the anime perfectly describes what Kirby's intelligence is like. Kirby is a "Star Warrior" an enitity born to fight evil and in Kirby's case he really is an infant compared to Meta Knight who is of the same species as him. Which is why I had to point out that the Kirby anime may not be canon but it certainly is a very accurate statement to how kirby acts in ALL of his games. His fighting style and living habits are all from instinct like an Animal's and only ever has a Black and White understanding of morality.
King Dedede has saved the entire Smash Brawl universe in Subspace Emissary by inventing timed badges to revive characters. Apparently he studied Tabuu's abilities after Meta Knight had his Halberd taken over and knew Tabuu's off wave move would wipe everyone out.
Lmao joker can at best make a pickaxe or armor, but can he craft an end crystal, read and understand long lost ancient languages, and understand the process of making potions like steve? @@wish7540 that's coz his tools and arsenals are really good. You can't just go fight god with a knife and the power of determination. It's not like he masterminded everything and thought of the biggest brain plan to defeat him. No. He prepared for a fight, went there without a plan, lost, and got a really op persona at the last minute. He didn't plan for that op persona to appear. He used the power of friendship.
“Inkling can’t even say their own name” Probably because they speak inkling, not English or Japanese. Okay, so for the Links.
Young Link- yeah fair, he was raised by a tree. HOWEVER.

@@Bapringles every single pokemon i think is just as smart as a regular human, unless said otherwise. So Pikachu, pichu, jigglypuff, and others should be a tier higher
Shouldn’t all pokemon be in that tier? I mean. They all understand human language.
@@CephenJane fair, incineroar just *feels* more human to me though
Pyra/mythra don’t have many feats? At the end of chapter 4 mythra literally calculates whether a building she is currently in would survive a laser blast based on its angle, power and the structural integrity of the building within a few seconds and accurately finds the exact timing needed to use it
I don’t believe he has perfect knowledge of every game these characters come from. I honestly doubt anyone does tbh.
daaamn 😳 i should play xeno blade
@@Person-nf6dj play Definitive Edition on switch, it's a better starting point than XC2 IMO.
Shulk is probably more iconic to people anyways, especially naked Shulk (which is actually a thing in the game, available from the start, and the game lets you change the way you look without changing stats).
I was looking for this comment cuz that shit caught me off guard😂. For that alone she deserves gigabrain

Pokémon trainer is theoretically very high tier as Pokémon is all about strategy and leading your Pokémon to be the best they can be and such
Do he/she knows whats 9+10 tho?
@@dwdadevil Pokemon go brrrrr
yea but there's no proof they're actually a good trainer
@@sevi630 we talking about a good trainer for battling or a good trainer to their Pokémon? Because Red is a champion for Pete sakes
They command one or two pokemon at a time you know, is not like commanding armys and usually they get away with the power of friendship and stuff.

There's a difference being smart and having common sense
Plus we know boswer doesn't highly of Mario so he probably thought he could've never gotten past him

I ask the same question. Where is the blue bomber?
I didn’t saw Mega Man and Daisy on the list
And Yoshi
@@imthecoolest3884 yoshi was in "dumb animal" tier
I think Isabelle and metaknight are the biggest flukes of this list but not everyone in the Read/Write tier has the confidence to make a list like this so well done! (this is a joke, mad respect)
Shulk's visions are a little difficult to judge, true. Actually, in Xenoblade, he doesn't exactly have full control over them - they kinda pop up at random points, and sometimes when he focuses hard on a certain thing.
Damn Mega Man is so smart, he isn't even on any tier
Ikr lol how dare you take my comment

Anyone who solves zelda puzzles without the internet should be a genius
Put the links way up there, except maybe Toon Link, I found wind wakers puzzles easier, along with phantom hourglass’s. Breath of the wild link has some tough shrines but Young link is equally smart as Ocerina of Time’s adult link who solved the water temple without a guide.

They actually are really smart. But only when they grow up as we can read in a scroll from Splatoon. That says teen inklings are kind of dumb at times.
In the story of Splatoon 2 you the agent are technically the last surviving agent because the other agents didn't have the skills as pointed out by Marie. There's gotta be some smarts in there.
@@phantomblue2798 considering the amount of puzzles in splitting yeah they'd need to be decently smart to be part if the splatoon

How is Steve in the lower tiers? Like… he can straight up build a computer using redstone, let alone be able to enchant stuff in ancient languages. Steve's ingenuity knows no bounds
That's a very good question
Those buildings were made by some genius players playing steve, not steve himself, although he's still quite smart being able to craft some preety impressive stuff and enchanting equipment
@@An_Entire_Lime With that logic nothing Steve does is canonical due to the fact that players are doing it as Steve. This is the issue with every sandbox character because it is down to how a particular player will play the game. So, we don't do that and we say that anything a player can do in vanilla is canonical to what Steve is able to do so as not to get the "canonical for each player" problem
@@tecwynjones6532 Steve does have some feats of inteligence, he does know how to craft... everything under the sun, yea the players that choose what and when to craft but the ability to turn some rocks into a functioning arrow launching machine is still from Steve, Same goes for enchanting and potion making, the players place the stuff there but Steve's still the one with the knowledge base to operate those blocks
And just like your method of counting everything as canon, if you count all building as non canon to steve's knowledge it avoids the "depending on the player" issue
Steve can place the blocks down in any configuration, therefore he can build a house, castle, windmill, or anything under the sun, all he needs to do is to know where to place stuff, and what to place down
Edit:
In any case, players are making Steve do it because the player themselves is Steve
It's comical that you think going into college debt is smarter than being a certified plumber
Nice to see Samus in the “big-brain” tier when the foundation of her games is literally “figure this out”.
Alakazam has 500iq
Metagross is 4 supercomputers.
Greninja and Incineroar should likely at least move up one tier, cunning as they are.
Yes, Incineroar is actually quite cunning for a brawny bruiser - its main talent is heel-wrestling, after all.
@@Idrk776 they ain't in smash
Tcnick is just doing this to affirm his own intelligence.
He even tricked most people with having every character on there when he completely forgot Mega Man and Alph
Do we have any evidence that dedede was the one to build those? he could've just gotten someone else to do it, he's a king after all
“You are talking about the penguin that fit a jet engine in a hammer”
-D3nsity
I think king dedede is smart enough to read and write
I like how isablelle, who has 19 phds in engineering, is equal with all the fire emblem characters.
Mario: is also a doctor. Smash: let’s make ‘em separate characters, but same move set.
Nick: this man is smarter than himself!
King Dedede has saved the entire Smash Brawl universe in Subspace Emissary by inventing timed badges to revive characters. Apparently he studied Tabuu's abilities after Meta Knight had his Halberd taken over and knew Tabuu's off wave move would wipe everyone out.
Well, yes but the Smash bros universe is not canon but he would be like at the top of smart

I think shulk was scientist before becoming a adventurer so I think she is at least in the big brain category
Inkling should be on a higher tier. They made their own language, rebuilt civilization, and found ways to make power throughout their city.
inkling themself didn't, the inklings did as a species, they're just a younger member of the species
“Inkling can’t even say their own name”
Probably because they speak inkling, not English or Japanese. Inklings are strategists and masters of their weapons, whether they just play turf war for fun, or are fighting for their team in a splatfest, inklings are much more than woomy and booyah, trust me.
Shulk isn't just a mechanic, he is a freaking engineer working on the military, at the same age as Joker, come on dude.
Also Pyra and Mythra show their smarts in game, it even is a gameplay mechanic, it translates into their Field skill, "Focus".
Remember, every time they make an orbital strike they have to calculate the exact power needed in order to not nuke the titan they are standing on.
I honestly think the link’s should be higher in the list because

Shulk have lived in a village, but isn't a medieval village or something like that, he was a really brilliant scientific was always reading about his world and trying to know about everything. He was a really smart person before he start having visions with monado
Kirby just pilots a mech like it’s nothing no instructions or anything because he still can’t read
My thoughts for Steve is that he can technically read anything you put in a book, knows how to smith as well as the other things Nick mentioned
