Imagine the plot twist if later it was revealed that the Barry that died here was the original, and the one that beat Zoom was the remnant.

That would be a excellent plot twist.
Moreover, it can be possible because once the time remnant is disconnected from the timeline he doesn't need the original time traveler stay alive... Perfectly Barry could sacrifice himself instead of killing the remnant...
But Savitar told Barry that he created a time remnant when fighting Zoom and that remnant killed himself to save the multiverse and Barry just continued with his happy life and if Savitar was a time remnant of Barry he knew and just confirmed us that the remnant was the one who died

Didn’t they actual say that after this scene towards the end when they were in Star labs. It’s just no one remember and it just would have gotten confusing from this point on so they dropped it.

Barry pulled a Batman move on Zoom. He didn't kill him but allowed the Time Wraiths to do it for him. Only Zoom suffered a fate worse and more fitting than death. He was transformed into the Grim Reaper of speedsters, The Black Flash.
The Speedforce understands why he had to make a time remnant one he can't do it very often 2 he knows not to break the time rule unless he absolutely has to it was the only way to give give tbe location and it was the only winning move he could make

Nah i don’t think thats how savitar was born. The remnant that sacrificed himself to save the multiverse was confirmed to be dead. the flash crew said that his body couldn’t handle doing what he did to save the multiverse and it would kill him, then later in season 3 savitar confirms that he died while saving the multiverse. As for how savitar was created, Savitar specifically stated that barry created time remnants to fight him in the future but he left one time remnant alive. Then that time remnant eventually became savitar.

not shadow clones lmao. The time remnant was basically another version of the flash pulled from a different timeline to this one to allow two flash to exist at once.

i mean he just killed his time remnant and Barry already said he was going to help him power it so he wouldn't have any reason too and he said it took a lot of convincing to convince his time remnant to die
