because they always make it to semi' finals or win worlds every time + faker is the goat. It's the safest bet to put them as the final boss. And they're actually hyping up JDG not really T1.
Because the storyline going into this Worlds for Faker / T1 is "Ruler is on the cusp of achieving the Golden Road; Faker & T1 are on a revenge quest for 2017, where Ruler slayed Faker's dynasty / rule."

T1 is also the one who stopped JDG last year. SKT/T1 is always a final boss as long as no team wins Worlds 3x.
