hell yeah man hardtail life is the best! I basically swap between my spire and my ht every ride going back and forth. I love riding my ht, i've got a steel bike that is almost the same geo as my spire (ht is actually .5 deg. slacker!!) and can ride it anywhere i take the spire.
Nice man! I would love an aggressive hardtail. This bike was an awesome entry level mtb for me but the geo is not great for what I like to ride. There are too many types of bikes I'd love to own haha!
@@sasquatchmtb well obviously I would highly recommend stepping in to a proper hardtail. Like I said I ride mine everywhere I ride my spire, without hesitation. Super fun, makes for a whole new experience for sure. Should be good this weekend so I’m hoping to get up to galby tomorrow !
I bought a bike that I slowly upgraded with budget parts... if you look at the end result it is kind of like that, but the wheels and cranks are still fully stock so not quite just a frame. I would not recommending riding it stock on anything aggressive though. I upgraded it as I went on to harder trails... the stock fork and brakes would not have handled this well and from my experience I would have dropped the chain about 7-10 times haha!
@@sasquatchmtb but dh without chain works just ask aaron gwin 😅 matt jones ripped a kid bike out of box and send it. Well conclusion is, it will be trashed, no surprise but for how long will it last…thats the question. I think this one took it kinda slick, the straight angle on the fork is sketch asf to ride. I see kids all the time send it down the red trails on 16” hard tail and no fear..and here i am with full on everything and scared 😅

Basically a Walmart frame.....that's it
Haha! The geo remains and the wheels and crankset. All upgrades are budget upgrades though fwiw.
So basically you got a frame which you modified

Notmuch walmart bike left there....
I wouldn’t even think about riding it stock down this trail if I valued my health 😂
