Which do you prefer for XC, hardtail or full suspension? What's your setup? Let us know in the comments! 👇
I prefer a hard tail for mellower trails and a full sus on more demanding routs. It just depends on the terrain - M
Hardtail downcountry mine
Trek Supercaliber, best of both worlds.
Hardtail for me
I prefer not seeing lycra
Great to see XC bikes getting some love
It’s so true. XC racing isn’t fun until it’s over.
I mean I do love the anticipation at the start line but I’ll finish the first lap and ask myself (even out loud) “why do I do this to myself?”
But once I cross the finish line it’s like “ahhh…this is why I do this!”
😂
Thank you for this content! CC is almost a dirty word on TH-cam MTB. This is the kind of riding we do where I live and we're all obsessed with getting faster, smoother, more efficient. The modern breed of CC full sus MTB's can do so much-It;s a revival. Please keep bringing us more of this cointent!!
I love XC bikes
Before dropping the stem down, look at your saddle height. Maybe you already have big saddle to handlebar drop. Everybody is amazed about Nino's extremely low stem, but nobody mentions that he can do this, because he has relatively short legs and saddle to hadlebar drop on his bike is not extreme .
Loving the XC content from Rich and now also Isaac. Keep it up!
The best advice given here : recognize and EMBRACE the physical challenges of XC racing as part of the game. It's your physical ability vs the course and the opponents. The fun is overcoming the barriers along the way.
Great to see another hardtail rider here!
Bought a specialized Chisel (hardtail). It brought back the fun, sometimes having a lot of travel/bike is too much if the trails are not that demanding
Join the Payne Train is now Rich's official catch phrase. It has to be. That was gold. I would definitely say that elite XC riders like Isaac and Rich definitely have a vastly different set up to me. Guess I won't be riding fast any time soon. Glad I ride for the fun of it and don't race but I just never feel comfortable being forward on the bike. Seat low, bars high, I have been like that with cruisers, BMX's, dirt jumpers, mountain bikes and motorcycles. I like to get out of the seat and manoeuvre the bike, I sit low when I am just coasting. Still love hearing what they do and the reasons for it.
Loving the xc content👍🏼
Love me some XC biking tips. Next up, AMTB tips with Martyn? Hmm...
110mm out back, 120mm fork, 24lbs, Specialized Epic Evo! 😊
Need a video on getting faster when your base fitness is sound. How to take 30 seconds off a good time. Once you're in shape and conditioned how do you step up speed and endurance?
I'm glad to see Isaac rocking a hardtail XC bike with all the notable XC pros always using fullsus bikes nowadays.
I prefer full suspension bikes because it smoothens my local trails and also add up my expenses of my bike😅.
Love my xc hardtail, the only bike I ride. The Devinci Riff is a great xc bike from commuting to trail, I do it all on it
Same bro!
I love all kinds of mtb, xc is definitely one that I do more of and really enjoy the challenge. Now all we need to see is Isaac put through his paces by Neil and Blake…😂😂😂
easy rule, the most important thing for trail enduro is how bike handling and braking, for road bike of course speed, xc bike must be good handling braking and be fast
hop aboard the payne train lmfao haha!
What happened to Isaac? I was enjoying his XC content!
Xc bikes are mountain bike, gmbn present for mountain biking
3rd😂
My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.
100mm hard tail XC all day....and if you're not "hardcore" there's the option to go 2x (if the seat tube allows it) to get the kind of geared bike "gravel" riders think they've bought...
Yo second
🥈
Hahahaha Lycra hahaha, I’m not just laughing to be mean but being a bloke I don’t really want to have some 28inch waist buns in my face when looking down the trail. Lol
Who cares?
😂
the guy who has to ride behind him cares.
If men in tight clothes make you feel insecure then you need to work on your self esteem. 😂
Alright #GMBN something's gotta change. Lose the lycra or lose Isaac.
Why is that? XC is MTB and lycra is part of XC.
If men in tight clothes make you feel insecure then you need to work on your self esteem.
Also there are tons of baggy-clothes-downhill content for you to watch instead if this triggers you.
Skin suits... terrible....
Depends what you’re riding. I live in Italy and every mtber seems to have a passion for skin suits… then again, Italians seem to like tight clothing in general, which is not always pleasant…
No need to shame people for their apparel choices.
New presenter….. meh
