Bro thank you so much. Your tutorial is the best so far. Your greatly appreciated. I had given up on MPC for the longest because all the tutorials only gave parts with lessons steps missing so i can never figure it out. Your so detailed i understood 90 percent of what you were explaining lol

I had my Studio Black for almost 2 years.
I understand most of what you are saying, and learned a little more.
It would be better... if you made (lets say) 10 bar sample with about 3 different tracks.
Then while going through your explaining play the *before & after* of which function your are talking about.
That way a newer owner may catch on faster.
Anyway, good thing you are doing because they is little to nothing about operating these MPCs.

Hi and thanx it's a old machine, but may you say it works with a midi pedalboard to change sounds and pads/patterns
I'm a long time demo FL studio cheap midi keyboard user. But with the 2.0 mpc software, this is one hell of a deal. Is there any functionality within the daw that's limited?
I got the MPC live for it's standalone capability - but looking at how many buttons there are here...makes me miss my MPC 500!

I have a problem though. Whenever i use the shift sequence function to apply effects, they always are put on the master, although I want them to just affect the track. is this possible?

*Question*
Action: Selecting a new track's (plugin/809/Bank) preset sound with the actual unit.
Using the computer,
I select the track menu, go down to the next empty slot for a new track.
I select Type (Drum, Plugin, MIDI, Keyboard group) *Plugin* .
Then there are the options of Hybrid, The 809, or The Bank.
I select Hybrid for this track then get all those preset sounds pop-up to choose from for the track on menu list below.
I do not know how to scroll through or select those presets using the MPC unit (I do not see the function(s)) for the presets.)
So, I have to select them via computer then check for each sound with the Pad or computer.
I am trying to find the way to select/scroll through those preset sounds with the pad which would be a faster method.
Let me know, if you have a way.

Sounds like you need to set up your audio card.. Have you done that yet?
woulda been nice to demonstrate how to use some of these functions that just saying what it does
