It just does not fit squad to have weapons that lock on. @@novinovic298 Well, I'm going based off of what they literally said 2 months ago, in their developer Q&A. They are "actively working on CAS helis, countermeasures, and Anti-Air," and apart of the 8.0 guided missile rework was to untangle/rebuild a lot of the old guided missile system, to allow them a better foundation for them to implement anti-air properly. But you got to understand there's a big difference between comments OWI has made in the past when they say "they plan to add X content," and when they say "actively working on X content." When they say they plan on doing something, then sure, I can agree with you that content just in the "planned" state can take anywhere between 2-5 years before we even see it. I mean, the direct use of words like "planned," "eventually," and "in the future," should obviously imply that. But the huge difference with the anti-air content is they made the distinct comment that it's being "ACTIVELY WORKED ON." To the point where they even already rebuilt and implemented the tech of the missile system in 8.0 to make it happen. I get that many Squad fans feel jaded and burned by OWI's previous promises, but it's a bit unfair to just toss EVERY single bit of content you hear mentioned from them, into the empty promises content pile.

This update looks good on paper but feel it will flop hard. 1. Helo Gameplay needs to be overhauled, the flight model sucks and choppers are way too tanky, especially in ICO with Mg's being inaccurate. Rockets are inconsistent on choppers as the hitboxes for weak spots are so small. Fixes? Flight model to be updated, have 7.62 or .338/.50 pen the cockpit. The argument of "heli's wont be able to rush points" its bloody stupid, helis should be risk reward, fast movement with little armour. If you want keep the ability to rush add in paradropping like we see in GE mod. 2. Another Blufor faction to fight the Russians. They need to add in more Redfor factions that don't suck. Russians are getting stale as hell, update them to the modern standard or even glorify them a little. The Fact the brits get a not even in service vic and the most modern tank the Ruskis have is a T90A, not even the M. They redesigned ATGMs with counter measures in vics but didn't even let us use the Shtora. 3. Armoured vics are in a weird spot where they can be dominating or just outright useless. The AT having a 10m arming distance constantly is an odd choice and makes close range play with inf very unrewarding, but vics at range dominate, so ifv's role aren't IFV's but as big armoured snipers. Adding in CAS makes the inf life even more annoying in those matchups. I agree with the sentiment of adding an AA class that is an addition to HAT, so you can have 2 HATS or 2 AAs or 1 of each on a team. Trade off being reducing Firepower on vics or on helis. The freedom vics at range have and now CAS will have if nothing is changed is going to make the ICO feel even worse, there are no proper counters.
Oh god, PLEASE give us MANPADs if they give us attack helicopters.. If you think about how annoying a decent pilot with a ok gunner is when circling and suppressing I don't want to know what a free roaming Littlebird will do

W recap of all this info
Yeah.. I wouldnt like little bird to be so op like that murican mortar vic shooting across whole maps.. no more I yield
OWI need to add in Enemy voip it's just too much fun not to considering the popularity of it now with GE
Enjoy your break.
Thank you
little bird with miniguns? Well i know hat a buddy of mine is playing once the patch hits.
Man they just need to add multi input support. I want to be able to use my flight sim for this game without using third party software.
3:18 ITS AK
I just want basic melee for every weapon and tool in game.
WE NEED FRENCH ARMY WITH HK416, GLOCK 17 FOR EVERY SOLDIER QND MARKSMAN WITH SCAR H AND SCOPE
Yo I didn’t know y ou own DoD!!! I love your server man!
This is my swamp.
They need to get rid of the horrible scope shadow and recoil. Cant even double tap without the guns going crazy and scope picture jumping all over the place.
5:00 damnit, now I can’t learn how to do a barrel roll in a live lobby anymore.
Squad hasn't even peaked
new faction better have some neat AT tech, or they will become a laughing stock
Thanks Honcho
I hope they are gonna fix SMG recoil
They need to make them all like the Turkish SMG, that things nasty in CQB now
6:48 dont we need atleast one or two maps which are armor fight intended? It would be good if we get atleast an only armor mod
Some cool stuff is coming but I want the game to run better and maybe get ported to unreal 5
The Heroes of Wagner Group should get their own faction for the liberation of Bahkmut
Id Like to see a Estonia faction
THEY ARE ADDING 2005 BLACKWOTER PMC
I wish they would bring back the attack Huey 😢
Its 8.1 FYI, they said it in all their posts, 9.0 holds other stuff
Would be great to have french / German or Italian faction tho...
Will they ever fix the weapon sway?
Does Squad have track IR and hotas support yet?
Nice video 👍
Thank you!
i really want a map on the night !
If you think about how annoying a decent pilot with a ok gunner is when circling and suppressing I don't want to know what a free roaming Littlebird will do
Have any of you seen the SDK? I don't see how any dev can sniff through the jumbled up mess they have going on. Yet, adding more content before optimizing is their goal. Straight whacker.
Finally a decent looking multicam
I'm looking forward to seeing more of it!
with v9 probably comes a fuck load of bugs and crappier performance.
Really curious how they will do AT
No doubt 2 year old bugs will still remain in the game...
