I hope you all enjoyed the video despite the fireworks and the tangent about long songs! haha Here is a playlist of all my ABBA reactions: th-cam.com/play/PLDYJIGSuxqEln7B06Oflr3pmuhUFAowEm.html
I was a pre law major in college… pre law? What’s that? A program that has no law classes just asks that you take classes in every course of study the school offered and maintain a 3.5 gpa or higher the entire 4years. Why tell you this? In the bombardment of academia just to prove that it didn’t matter what was thrown at me I would nail it there is one course I was and will always be grateful for …introduction to music theory / historical overview a.k.a. Music 101. It was a gift! I could articulate what I was hearing and did not have the words to describe. Prior to then I borrowed architectural terms which conveyed to my audience what I was experiencing in a particular piece. Having this new vocabulary at my disposal I realized I started hearing even more in every piece of music I have heard since. Modulation polyphony harmony bridge duration 3part harmony etc. etc.. I have no clear understanding of what you’re trying to say when you refer to “3 min 50 seconds and wanting to go “deeper “ other than literally just those words. My thinking i probably know what you’re hearing or “reacting “ to would be an unfair assumption . A critic or reviewer of salt if you will shares more than judgment they describe all the aspects of the experience educating the reader and build a solid argument how you arrived at your conclusion and final evaluation. My totally unsolicited advice to you is… 1. Give yourself the gift of picking up a college level music 101 textbook or take a non matriculated class look in the learning annex it matters not just do it. 2. It was dissonant * to my ears the first time I heard you refer to “tic toc” overexposure by the 8th I was desperate for you to just get over it , concerned that this hang up would prevent you from going deeper into the the piece. Regrettably, in your response/review it did really seem to be the only thing ( not even about the song) I could say you were clear on is how hearing a segment of the song is like cinders in your mouth. And worse still after all said I don’t even know what section that is ! I grew up with these songs but my age was not that of the record buying public. This song was released in 1979 … I was 4yrs old. For me the advent of you tube i get to re discover many songs I never had anything to go on ( title artist lyrics ((generally the wrong ones)) ), and now, I get to time travel , with just a few long lost notes I’m thrown back to my earliest memories with a pristine rush that is unclaimed . Potential profound and Deeply personal. I wish you every facet of passion i describeand am experiencing as I write this to you. And I look forward to seeing your increase an passion develop in your reviews. Sincerely yours TVC
"Angeleyes" (1979) is a good disco-style song (7pts), within album disco-style "Voulez Vous" (with the exception of the ballads "Chiquitita" and "I have a dream") that ABBA recorded following the influences of disco music in North America with Bee Gees hits It was together, with "Voulez Vous" as double A-side, the third single from said album, it reached #3 in UK In this album I prefer other songs of that style: "As good as new" (the opening track) the tittle track, "Voulez Vous" ore one special that come soon "If it wasn''t for the nights" but these tuned is loved for the fans and was trendiing in Tik Tok a years ago, with a lot of streaming in Spotify Unfortunaly it haven't a official video or TV perfomanece For a nex song, try "If it wasn't for the nights". in the same album there is a great TV perfomance in Japan 1978 the ladies are so beautiful and on fire I hope to see you in next ABBA vídeo My best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South America PS: I think that at these time of reactions You could see the first ABBA perfomance (as ABBA) is with "Waterloo" at Eurovisión 1974 in Brighton UK the icónic night that ABBA shock the world
You must react to... 'Waterloo' 'Thank you for the music' 'Honey honey' 'Lay all your love on me' 'The king has lost his crown'... etc...😊 Take care, Ratty ✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
@@RattyReacts I've sent you a little list of songs on 12". I don't see it here now - TH-cam may be delaying. But, the key to appreciating them is to compare them to the short radio versions. 12" Singles had a lot more production on them - more verses, instrumental solos, etc. You got the whole story...
Thx again You have so many songs to go..............enjoy them Looking foward to you reaction every time Wanna try some kind og glamrock ?....try "hey hey Helen"
Here is why I don't care for fan-made lyric videos on reaction channels. First of all, the sound quality is usually dodgy. Second, you don't need to be reading the lyrics along with the song the first time you hear it. Either find the sound recording posted from the record company or the official video.
Hey, Jacob Lee finally dropped the audio to the song that got the live stream pulled, {still so sorry about that.} Anyways, you said that night that you wanted to add it to your playlist but then couldn't remember if you had or not so here's the link. 3:37_Jacob Lee - Down On My Luck (Official Audio) @Jacob Lee th-cam.com/video/UNK7NcjMaDk/w-d-xo.html Remember this is for you, not for a reaction.

"Angeleyes" (1979)
is a good disco-style song (7pts),
within album disco-style "Voulez Vous"
(with the exception of the ballads
"Chiquitita" and "I have a dream")
that ABBA recorded following the influences
of disco music in North America with Bee Gees hits
It was together, with "Voulez Vous" as double A-side,
the third single from said album, it reached #3 in UK
In this album I prefer other songs of that style:
"As good as new" (the opening track)
the tittle track, "Voulez Vous"
ore one special that come soon
"If it wasn''t for the nights"
but these tuned is loved for the fans
and was trendiing in Tik Tok a years ago,
with a lot of streaming in Spotify
Unfortunaly it haven't a official video or TV perfomanece
For a nex song, try
"If it wasn't for the nights".
in the same album
there is a great TV perfomance in Japan 1978
the ladies are so beautiful and on fire
I hope to see you in next ABBA vídeo
My best regards from
Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷
South America
PS: I think that at these time of reactions
You could see the first ABBA perfomance (as ABBA)
is with "Waterloo" at Eurovisión 1974 in Brighton UK
the icónic night that ABBA shock the world
Thanks, Ratty! 🧚♀ I love this one. The rendition in MAMMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN (2018) is great, too.
Love the ABBA "Ahhaha's"
My favorite ABBA Song....!!❤❤❤
ABBA!
You must react to...
'Waterloo'
'Thank you for the music'
'Honey honey'
'Lay all your love on me'
'The king has lost his crown'... etc...😊
Take care, Ratty ✌️
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
One of their best but so underrated
I was thinking, "he's already done this song" and then I remembered I saw it during live stream. LOL
You may have heard it thousands of times, but did you know it was ABBA?
Ya know, at the time I don't think I realized it haha
I love a Ratty ABBA reaction!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the vids!
On TikTok there is a sped up version where they do kinda sound like chipmunks..
Ahhh, that would make more sense 🤣
Songs were longer in the 70's for Disco play. You should hear some 12" Singles.
@@Leftatalbuquerque I'm not sure if I even knew 12 inch singles existed haha. I knew of 7 and 10s but 12 is crazy
@@RattyReacts Here is the 12" of Abba's Voulez Vous. It is subtly different from the album version. th-cam.com/video/FDHQAhK39cU/w-d-xo.html

Try Robbie Williams Angels
