You know, this song is pretty legit. It makes me wonder why it isn't the official theme of Metal Gear. After all, Metal Gear's current theme came under fire by certain lawsuits for sounding too similar to some guy's work (and I've never even heard of him). I guess the emotional impact of this song isn't as good as the current theme, but it's still a nice thought. What would the Metal Gear franchise be like if THIS was it's theme? A single song can make or break a game, especially the theme.
At least for Snake's games. MG2, MGS, and MGS4. This, or the Integral version could have been the theme for MGS1, and a more grand orchestral version in 4. 2 Should have it's own theme, as Raiden is the main focus. 3, PW, and The Man Who Sold The World for V are perfect as is though.
To be honest, I think this is the theme for "Metal Gear", the games where we filled the gap with our imagination. And the other theme that we know is the theme of "Metal Gear Solid", the games where you can almost touch Snake's hair AND JUST LIKE THE THEMES, NO ONE IS BEST THAN THE OTHER!!
Neither did he. David Hayter is just a voice actor; Solid Snake is just a character. David would probably appreciate you being a fan. He's just a normal guy, too.
Not surprised you haven’t honestly. Considering the fact that these games aren’t available on modern platforms( except for mgs5 but even then that game is so different it doesn’t really count).
@@JohnDoe-em9nc I just watched the entire story of MG2. It has me interested! Do Metal Gears actually play an important role in future games? Something about their threat and design is cool but seemed a bit underutilized with how it show their designs so much in the opening.
Solid Snake: Escape from New York
Solid Snake: Escape from Outer Heaven
Metal Gear 2: Electric Boogaloo
This is one of best things happened in my life
good try but snake never gonna say a thing like that, he says "Dammit i'm gonna read my script"
Not just yours, Soldier 🖤
Snake, go and catch the pidgeon with potatorations

Happy Triscuit I just realized that this song reminds me of the theme song from the movie escape from L.A or Escape from New York.

I can picture this intro during a tv show of metal gear while there showing the actors who's voicing them that be epic
Feels like 80th action movie theme. Sad there are no metal gear movie :(
This would fit perfectly to the main theme.
BytesUp Studios there will be a Metal Gear movie. It’s been confirmed for years
@@kbell9568 i can't wait. It deserves one
@@itzjdude616 Not sure why you'd expect it to be any good, though...
@@viewtiful1doubleokamihand253 if it's a remake film of the original msx games, then it better be.
@@itzjdude616 Sounded like it was going to be a movie version of MGS, not of MG1 or 2
This is pretty damn sweet. I always liked the original song, and this is a high quality remix of it.
this eerie echo from the past is somehow surprisingly delightful.
Solid Snake... A man I genuinely loved.
I'm so sorry for never stacking up to my childhood hero... I'm genuinely sorry, David.
Never say never, the will must still be with you to feel that way
Neither did he.

This remix is amazing!
This theme is so good in my opinion that it's even perfect by today's standards well my standards, I'm addicted to it.
That's amazing
This is dope as hell.
This is a fantastic remix, awesome job dude
Oh my first ever Metal Gear game, I loved it but I never thought of Big Boss as a villain but rather as a desperate soldier fighting for his dignity.
Then explain why Big Boss tried to kill Solid Snake TWICE?
@@superspeedbros because snake tried to twice?

This is such a great remix! I wish I knew this existed much sooner!!!!
Kurt Russel, Mel Gibson, Sean Connery, IN "METAL GEAR 2: SOLID SNAKE" only on TNT
Someone has to make a poster based on your comment, it would look fantastic!
Imagine mushing through the Iditarod with this playing.
Excellent!
This is a theme that must return!
Nice, this is great work!
Escape from New York vibe is crazy.
It could be really cool to have a similar remix for the MGS movie (during the opening scene or elsewhere)
This music reminds strongly of Snatcher..both are very good memories of Konami..
This is far better that I expected.
Very good ! Kinda reminds me of the Escape from New York main theme.
This is my new work out song
this is sick
love it.

Theme of Solid Snake (Synthwave Remix)
nailed it, awesome
well done

Sounds like it would be in a Smash Bros game haha
Do you have an uncompressed\lossless version for download? MP3 is lossy, so the quality is less than it would be if it was lossless.
Did you make this? I really like it!
this song made my testosterone grow

Sounds like something youd hear in the original Deus Ex
Is a flac version available?
For some reason it reminds me of Rocky 4.
Deus Ex: Metal Gear
1980s man!
theme of tara pleace
a remix should be more than just remaking the original almost 1:1 with shittier synths
this doesn't have the same BOUNCE to it as the original; i don't know how to describe it. Way less staccato i guess.
