@ when shooting a compound bow, most (if not all) coaches teach a back tension approach to fired the release, it acts like a surprise with a slow squeeze you don’t know exactly when it goes off. Others (the dark side of the force in archery lol) use a command shooting style, commonly referred to as “punching”, when you knowingly activate the trigger. Most people do target archery where back tension is the gold standard. As a hunter I recommend learning both.

Distance is far too close for these archers. Just saying. It’s too easy. 40-50 and let’s make it a fair game.

Agreed. Either back them up or have them use really thin arrows. Easier to break the 10 ring when you're using fat arrows.
