The only reason I play right now is to prepare for TBC next year while enjoying the vanilla journey to 60. So the video was pretty much perfect for me.
Hell yeah bring out more TBC content lol. I haven't played WoW in over 8 years but I just heard the news about fresh classic WoW servers and I'm definitely making a come back when TBC fresh releases.
Very excited for TBC classic because it’s when I first got into the game. I always wanted to make a Draenei Shaman but my friend at the time was horde so I ended up being a Troll Rogue instead. Can’t wait to set my inner child free after 20 years of wait.
I burnt myself out on Classic WoW by playing nonstop from 2019 launch through Phase 1 of Cata. I was an officer in two different guilds and raid lead as well as main tanked for a team in TBC. I plan on going into this version by just being a faceless dps in the crowd playing my fury warrior like I have wanted to since 2019. I always changed my class to something the guild wanted or needed instead of trying to play what I truly enjoy. I just want to pump and not be responsible for 25-40 people again.
I like your approach to this guide, rather than some low effort tier list, sharing some actual knowledge on how classes performed in TBC is good. Thanks.
Shaman will still take 6 slots at least in Sunwell, even with a raid-wide lust. Chain heal is that good and the aoe damage is that persistent. An addenum on Arms and Rogue PVP: the gear available at t6 and beyond allow for moments (Exec procs) where they can completely remove the armor of a clothie, if wound/MS weren't enough pressure.
Love TBC, favorite expansion. Currently playing onna tbc private server and soon to start on classic fresh. I just want a tbc era so I can play it forever😊
Often I don’t get to watch entire videos, which means I usually have to pass videos like this that don’t have chapters delineated in the scroll bar. If you could start doing that, I would subscribe for sure. The way it is now I see you occasionally when you pop up.
I hope to see some class tweaks in TBC like they did in Wrath Classic. Like letting DoTs crit baseline for all caster classes (this greatly helps Shadow, and the Aff lock who's there for 3% spell dmg, and its a nice little bump for Balance's Insect swarm and moonfire), a 100% crit damage bonus for Shadow Priests and Balance Druids, and something for Elemental to increase their damage scaling. No crazy new spells like SoD, just smart mechanical and number tweaks to enable some scaling for specs that just don't scale in OG TBC. A Spriest's dps goes up by like 400 total in TBC from prebis to Sunwell. A warrior or hunter goes up by like 1500.
I struggle to choose between shaman and Druid. Seems like druid gets most benefit, and I really only like the idea of druid due to world PvP. Being able to stealth and detect humanoids is golden in such environment. But shaman overall fits my style.
Hardcore trying until I get to 60 + raiding as much as I can before I die then moving it to the normal realms where the char will wait for TBC while I level other chars on HC that I will also get on the normal realms for TBC if they get to 60 is the best thing. I get to play HC which I love in preparation for TBC which I love
I really should have got in on the grift of pandering to classic. Imagine making the same video over and over for the rererererelease of the same content over and over. What a dream gig.
Feral/resto vanilla, feral tank/resto burning crusade, balance/feral tank wrath for my Druid that’s my plans for my main in the next 3 years I don’t have the road map for talents but I’m defs gonna be going deep with the shaman and hunter too this re release of classic
My friend and I played BM Hunter/Shadow priest in 2s arena and it was super fun. Obviously we almost always lost to a druid as we couldn't viper or mana burn and mage/rogue was hard to win, but it was surprisingly good vs everyone else.
TBC changes I wish they would do : raid wide buffs (Furor from ferals, WF totem from Shaman, etc..) and attunements account wide. Idk about raid wide lust, you would be able to just lust back to back for the entire fight.. seems kinda nuts. If they wanted to stop the shaman swaping in groups for lust, they could bring the sated debuff to the party.
Friend was good at private tbc pvp holy paladin. Tbc paladin was shockadin, stack 5x debuff on crusader judgement. Heavy armor plate was tank for melee on arena, and you can outrun casters and paladin shockadin was battle mage style in TBC. Retri was OP sometimes woth quick burst until mana end. Seal of Crusader give 70% second hit. So auto attack + crusader strike and both proc seal of crusader, 6-8k hp on start(12k hp was full s4), stun hammer gg
gonna prepare to speed level a draenei shaman in case the guild I end up with ends up needing more shamans via mage farming for the gold, but otherwise I intend play fury warrior this time around
I truly hope they make heroism/bloodlust raid wide, because it was simply ridiculous the amount of shamans raids "had to" have last time around. People constantly talk about classic being too easy, but they still feel a compulsive need to min/max every damn thing, to make it as easy as possible. It just didn't make any sense to me. Raids would get cancelled because there wasn't at the very least one shaman per group. *sigh* But back when we played TBC for real, we didn't even always have one shaman every single raid. Not because we didn't know how good heroism/bloodlust was, but simply because we would build the raid groups based on the idea of fairness. Player X had gone to every raid the last two weeks? Well about time they sat out one for somebody else to be rotated in. Anything else would make for an unhappy guild. Did it sometimes nerf the raid? Sure, but raiding isn't simply about clearing as fast as possible. It's also about building a fun community for the members of the guild. Not getting to raid time and time again while every shaman gets to go every time, because "we only have 5 in the guild" doesn't build a good, strong guild community. Despite that, I would never suggest getting rid of the shaman's signature ability. It's an important part of their class fantasy, and should remain. Having exhaustion though, so it becomes a once-per-fight thing? ABSOLUTELY necessary. If not, you'd end up with every raid "needing" 10 shamans or more. :P
Probability per class. paladin 90% (prot specifically, ret as dual spec). Warlock 5% rogue 5% I love classic prot paladins, and tbc only fleshes the AoE identity more. They're already great AoE tanks in vanilla if played properly. Tbc not only fleshes that out more, but also has a lot more content for that style of tank.
I wish we could play classic vanilla with the TBC or WOTLK version of the game, cause there were alot of good changes and improvements, esp for hybrid classeses.... not just the dps specs but even other tanks like feral druid or prot pally. Gear itemization was better too, tho I think it wasn't until wotlk that they finally combined melee and spell hit/crit/haste into just hit/crit/haste as one stat that works for both, or spell power buffing both spell dmg and heals, not one or the other. But still, looking forward to TBC...... I play Enhancement Shaman, and they do alirght in vanilla and u can certainly have fun in PVP, but the hybrid dps just felt unfinished until tbc, and shaman lacked good offensive or defensive cd's, or an escape or CC or stun.... other then stormherald. . Druids got cyclone in tbc, and shaman finally got some kinda CC with hex in wotlk.
just google wow aniversary servers for whatever region you are in... there are 3 or so per region since the servers nowadays can be much much bigger than in the past
the thing is paladin mains didn't really need to go prot to farm gold; ret paladin was perfectly and easily capable of soloing scholomance to farm the drops, which still vendored for a very respectable amount of gold, as well as the all important dark runes that healers will still very much be after as well as basically any mana using dps I was a ret paladin in tbc classic, and I will be one again in tbc classic classic
@@starberry2705 because that shit is boring and requires a specific set of gear that is overpriced as shit because it became popular lol. I also didn't want to have to constantly respec in tbc classic boosting is also against ToS now lol
Cant wait to farm all the resto druid warrior 2s teams again was fun the first time and will be great again. Been leveling my toons in HC which has been more fun than dungeon spam
Im so hyped on these servers, having slot of fun with vanilla and super excited for tbc aswell. Gonna level all the classes I want in tbc so I don’t go stupid with boosts 🤣🤣
Saying before I even watch the video, I'm a priest. I'm playing that regardless. If he's good in BC, great. If he isn't, I'll be the best priest I can and have fun and that's all that matters.
Restor druids are still haunting my nightmares to this day. Imagine a healer that cant die nor go OOM. Horrendous. (3x suffering if you play ret paladin).
I really hope they adjust SP, Ret, Boomy but the more I think about it the more I realize they wont be these 3 versions of wow will probably just go into rotation after wotlk is over.
Can someone explain to me how the classic and new tbc stuff is going to work? I lost track with all the changes and expansions. I thought they already started classic and went through tbc and wotl and with cataclysm i los interest again.
Feral is not going to main tank. They are going to DPS and offtank for the fights where multiple tanks are needed. Everyone is going to stick with having the Prot Pally tank everything because why wouldn't you. They are excellent main tanks in TBC, arguably better than druids are. The only thing feral druids are better at is single target threat. But that doesn't matter as long as the DPS are not capped by tank threat, which they will never be under a competent Prot Pally. In other words, why waste a slot for a Feral ank and a Prot Pally when the Prot Pally can just do it all anyways.
Tempted as a near newb (played a little a year ago if retail & classic) - to play classic hardcore & maybe stream it to my audience of zero 😂- watching a fair bit on guides, classes and need to sort out mods and choose whether to sub to EU or US - such a same there isn’t cross region on a single subscription. 🤷♂️ oh well I die a lot. Did mage on classic EU but may try Hunter on Hardcore as solo & level etc 🤔 I see but all these videos, guides & tips help a lot.
People who say warlock is very easy either never played them, or played them so much ofc its easy after you're use to playing a class for years and years
@Average1212 no ill just do it by being the best rogue on the team haha. Plus any guild leader with a decent head on their shoulders wouldn't dare give it to a fury warrior first.... right? 😅🤣
I used to play a lot of arena as a hybrid prot/holy pally with a fury warrior in 2v2's. get more tankyness so you can survive the burst and when they realise you're too tanky and want to switch focus on the warrior theres usually already one dead hehe
I think because leveling in vanilla can be a real commitment and a lot of people are more excited for TBC it makes sense to remind people of what classes will be after vanilla so they don’t waste time. Or help with alt choices.
I would go rogue for the glaives. Never got em since og tbc and never will as I am faceless player without a guild. Leveling a warrior on anniversary hc with my friend and tanking stuff but I know it's a 100% hopeless dream to get glaives. I doubt HR glaives pugs would work well or get enough people even if I tried.
If you are going Rogue in PvE , then be prepared for misery. To success as Rogue not to mention to get glaives, you will need heavy juicy credit card or friends on high places... I went Rogue in TBCC not because glaives, but because i loved that class and it was my biggest mistake in wow. No one will want you in their groups ,not even your own friends...
I'd put Mage, Rogue, and Priest at 5 star for pvp. Druid, warr at 4. everything else at 1-3. rogues are just superior warriors in tbc mage is... mage. priest works better with the mage and rogue god classes.
I like your content WillE but even you I feel like are really missing the point of classic and even TBC classic. It's about the journey, the leveling. Not the end game. I'm so tired of seeing, 'here's what you should level for the future'. The future is now, play the game.
sigh... I want to play alliance shaman in TBC soooooooo yeah... I guess I'm gonna level a mage and a paladin to 60 at some point before TBC drops so that I can at least start the expac with some gold in my pockets...
Irregardless” is a word that means “despite everything” or “not being affected by something”. It's typically used as an adverb and has the same meaning as “regardless” “Irregardless” has been in print since 1795 and is included in major dictionaries, including the Cambridge Dictionary Hmmmm I guess you should have checked on that one
wow youtubers been making the same videos over and over again for the past 6+ years. retail goes through the expansion hype to "what went wrong" cycle.
@@erike9074 not once did he mention the debuff cap removal, which is kinda odd, since you'd expect that would change some things. Dual spec is just a no-brainer though. Want to dps and heal sometimes? Take a dps spec and a healer spec.

I've watched this 3 times 😂 it's keeping me going with these janky vanilla classes
wait TBC is coming out?! I thought it released in 2007 and again in 2021?
I'd put Mage, Rogue, and Priest at 5 star for pvp. Druid, warr at 4. everything else at 1-3. rogues are just superior warriors in tbc mage is... mage. priest works better with the mage and rogue god classes.
I wish they would toss out world buffs and gdkp and classic would be at it's very best in my opinion.
gdkps are banned mate.. :)
warlock firebuild will outperform shadow up until T5
I like your content WillE but even you I feel like are really missing the point of classic and even TBC classic. It's about the journey, the leveling. Not the end game. I'm so tired of seeing, 'here's what you should level for the future'. The future is now, play the game.
For many of us the end game is what we enjoy most. Evident by the masses speed levelling to 60. Different people like different things and that’s ok!
TBC is all about endgame
sigh... I want to play alliance shaman in TBC soooooooo yeah...
I guess I'm gonna level a mage and a paladin to 60 at some point before TBC drops so that I can at least start the expac with some gold in my pockets...
Hey WillE, love your videos bro. Especially this one, but my god man. Irregardless is not a fucking word. rofl
Irregardless” is a word that means “despite everything” or “not being affected by something”. It's typically used as an adverb and has the same meaning as “regardless”
“Irregardless” has been in print since 1795 and is included in major dictionaries, including the Cambridge Dictionary
Hmmmm I guess you should have checked on that one
Really milking these guides there, big man... what could possibly be any different than the last TBC guides ypu made?
This one is FRESH 😂
Hmm a channel about wow guides talking about wow guides after 5 years… how could it be
Dual spec and no debuff cap, for one. There’s a lot of lessons learned from the last tbc classic that werent covered in the first round of videos.
wow youtubers been making the same videos over and over again for the past 6+ years. retail goes through the expansion hype to "what went wrong" cycle.
@@erike9074 not once did he mention the debuff cap removal, which is kinda odd, since you'd expect that would change some things. Dual spec is just a no-brainer though. Want to dps and heal sometimes? Take a dps spec and a healer spec.
Shaman and Hunter ❤
I just miss days when 80% of players wont care what class and spec you are playing
those days are long gone, there are some guilds out there that don't care about it, it sounds great until you're stuck on a trivial boss for hours because no one cares
