  • Romance of Men recently sent me a full suit of Samurai armor to review. They also asked to make a few videos about how to display it. Not sure if I have done it right but it looks good and does not tip over so parts of it must be right.
You can find the armor I got at this link -

The stand looked like it was sized for Toddler or Pygmy armor, at least until used.
Anyways, displaying the underbelt on the outside makes sense as a way to store the armor before suiting up, as the belt is needed before the other pieces.

I was wondering about that. First time learning anything about it. Thank you sword friend for showing how propping up armor is done.

So that's what those little pillows were for. I can't think of a reason why they built that nook into your house, but damn I wish my house had one now.

I would recommend a different place for samurai armor, Iron Mountain Armory makes quality armor.

Came across a interesting sword on ebay looking for your thoughts on it.
If you type.... Samurai Broad Knife in it should be the first to show up.
From what I can tell by the pics and description its a wakizashi size naginata?? Maybe. Lol.
Definitely a longer handle and wider profile blade.
Interesting and thought I'd ask your thoughts and or if you had experience with it.

Just curious how much space does this actually take up? website has it listed 68x30x30, is that about right or little more/less?

I’m curious if you plan to mount some swords/weapon’s vertically or at an angle behind the display? I know there isn’t much room but it could be useful to add some background ambiance.

Cool. Now you just need to choose which blade set to display w/ it. Or do you intend to change them out?

i display my armor very similarly.
maybe i am wrong, but are they iron mountain armory resellers?
atleast the armor box is the exact same that iron mountain armory ships its armor in and the product shots are similar to the one iron mountain armory would do

    Hey
My armor is 300 years old and in very poor condition. Its a basement found. Any ideas how I can display it without burdening the old stuff? I'm afraid of destroying something. 😅

@@Matthew_Jensen ok I dont know to much about japanese armor but it looks not like what I thought it would
I guess most of my knowledge in that regard comes from "last samurai" and "Shogun 2"
