What gets me pumped up so much about this context of extreme high performance, the Mamba mentality, MJ etc is that it sends me back to high school. I had the exact same attitude back then. I tried to keep performing at a high level, but who was I kidding?! I no longer had the time and proper rest to be able to sustain performance. The #1 key to winning is DESIRE. If you want something bad enough, you will fight like hell to get it, you will let nothing stop you... and you will get it.
Awesome interview! I think something that doesn’t get appreciated enough with “winners” is a discussion on just how tactile and calculating winning is. Not just the time spent “training” but how one acts throughout the day: what they eat, which shoes will be worn for what, the kind of toilet paper will be used, who the competition is, etc.Lots of life is planned even if the individual has never formally recognized it.
This is The best conversation I have ever come across to! Crazy as it sounds: if i was presented with a choice to exchange all my friends with being friend with you 2: I would not think about it for a second!
One of the things that is missing is the fact that majority of the individuals that is mentioned that reached super stardom had come from families that provided stable foundational support to the individual growing up; so much so that the individual and the family could concentrate on developing the individual for high achievement. This is one of the things that make Lebron and Iverson's,and stars like them, achievements so remarkable because they were able to achieve despite not having a stable family backgrounds. It's a little bit easier to pay the price when not burdened with the pressure to scramble to support you and your family's basic needs. So kudos must go to the super achiever families and recognition that they play a big part in the formula for reaching super stardom.
I wish these interviewers would get into more detail with Grover on the very-specifics of training and with questions about ideal weight for Kobe/MJ, specific things Jordan did post 1996 title to win another. Same for Kobe post 2010... I feel like specifics get left on the table. I guess I'm hungry for some of those more intriguing details. "What specifically did Mike see as a weakness in his game post-1991? How did he train to get stronger without compromising his leaping ability?" SPECIFICS. Overall tho, this isn't a criticism of the interviewer here. This 1:1 was FANTASTIC.
Winning doesn't have any friends, it has allies. This is so powerful!
"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen." 🏆

I can take it, I love it, but they, especially my wife cannot understand or handle it. So I keep it turned off most of the time, because if I flip my switch, it's ON!! I become obsessed to outperform myself, become the best ever at what I do. I have very rarely encountered people who share this mentality. That being said, I think I'm getting back on that track because I wanna turn my life around and achieve my goals and I started warning my wife that if she wants us to have a better life as well without minimum requirements of high discipline and dedication it is simply not possible to improve, let alone achieve any goal. I'm still trying to figure out the rest of the way up there.
Thank you for reading if you have gotten this far.
Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the fuck you were gonna do anyway. ― Robert Downey Jr. Like Tim said when his daughter was begging him to stay, this is what he has to do. Your effort will improve your family mutlifold. Imagine the access that Tim's daughter has now. One phone call and she's going to Ivy league university.
It's easier in this decade. Just post your efforts and wins on social media or twitch. Whoever is interested will pay you, if you can perform/entertain them.
Best channel on TH-cam by a mile. I heard one interview and subscribed instantly. He asks tough questions without a lot of bias or influence and doesn't cut or edit what they say.
Definitely one of my top favorite interviews of all time
Nice to see a face-to-face interview again 😀
This was amazing! Chills throughout the entire podcast, when great minds come together truly great events follow
Tim Grover not only is one of my favourite authors but also made the flu game scenes in the last dance the best television scenes ever

This was a really good subject. I love anything with jordan and kobe and their winning mindstate, their drives. I ll be honest i only hit the like because it was on 666 had to get it off that number. I just dont hit the like button that often but this one is definitely worth it. Keep up the good work. Your content is very valuable and needs to be seen by more people.
Fuck 666
Im like Patrick, I truly cant get enough of this champion mindset content!
This is my favorite interview format
Amazing interview. Wonder if now listening to his stories of Kobe although he’s a replica of the Original, Michael, and Kobe also said without Michael there is no Kobe, that’s why I’m attracted to him, his personality, his mentality, his mindset ! Amazing. Liked Michael but Kobe made me love the game! And somewhat I can relate to Kobe’s mentality
Thank you for this amazing video. Every time I watch your stuff from favorite Mafia stuff to entrepreneur videos you never let me down. My funds for too tight to be able to make your conference this year, it’s on my budget list to make it next year with my wife/business partner. Before I found out you moved from DFW I was going to come to your office and feed your whole team with our menu as a thank you but then found out you moved to FL. Many blessings Pat to you and your family and one day our paths will cross and I can give you thanks in person for you being you! Stay blessed.
Intensity and focus seems to be for the 1% of the 1%.
Amazing interview, thank you Tim, thank you Pat.
The balance you find with your kids, is to make sure the time you do spend with them, you're all in. All in. With age they will understand the sacrifices you made, and will appreciate the time you put in, to be all in with them. Be all in.
Tim Grover is a legend among legends

Brilliant and inspirational.
There is no finish line for true winners - they'll always adapt and create in unpredictable situations.
What an amazing video!! Love the explanation through all these highly successful folks' eyes! This really inspires ⭐⭐⭐
Watch entire thing first u fake
One of the best interview I ever ever watched So relatable So much Value
This is The best conversation I have ever come across to! Crazy as it sounds: if i was presented with a choice to exchange all my friends with being friend with you 2: I would not think about it for a second!
A lot of gold nuggets in here!!! Worth watching to the end
It kinda weirded me out when he said "the late Kobe Bryant" I guess the news of his death still hasn't quite sunk in with me...
Patrick, thank you for bringing Tim back. Gotta watch this interview many times and take notes.
Just bought the book, loved relentless! Awesome conversation!

OMG!
Pat such an outstanding interview. One of the best interviews on Valuetainment!
What a brilliant interview!!!
One of the greatest sit-down you had. Thank you for the content you bring.
