I got to see the AN-225 and Buran in person back in 1989. I was at the Paris Air Show and my dad tapped me on the shoulder and told me to turn around and look at something. It seemed to fill my entire field of view: a giant, 6-engined airplane with a space shuttle on its back!

I really wish the Buran project had a chance to make it to space. Even though the United States (where I'm from) and the USSR were enemies at the time I still think it would have been great if the USSR Had more success in their space program towards the end. They started off so strong. One of my favorite missions from that era is the mission where the United States docked a manned space craft with a Soyuz space craft in orbit, uniting two enemies with science and discovery and progress. It's the beauty of the cold war, and I'm really glad it never turned in to a real war. All the technological advancements and engineering marvels that came from that era from either side is really fascinating to me.

Not really there's a lot planes designed to have the prop on the back they are called pushers.
"Pushers" model of aircraft trade off their maneuverability for increased speed, something very important for interceptor which had to attack the target before they dropped their bombload.
It's the same difference as car having the engine in front or in the back. Both work.

She can carry 250 troops or 5 vehicles, 82 tons in total as far as 5000 miles away. There are many of them here in Ukraine, and I saw one landing to the nearby airbase just a few days ago.

It's interesting how the late war German aircraft designs suddenly pop up 5-10 years later in America. Similar to Werner von Braun with the German intercontinental rocket V2 who later helped fulfilling the American dream of going to the moon.

The rockets on the Triebflügel at 1:37 are angled the wrong way. They should aim 45 degrees I think, otherwise, the central propeller won't work the way it did on the real-life aircraft.

That special Heinkel He 111Z could have made it easily into this video as it was just designed for the 321 to gewet it into the air as the three Bf110 were quite a suicidal way.
