    Great version of a great song. I’m not sure that it’s an ode to narcissism though. I see it as an illustration of the damage that certain types of mothers can do to their sons through their controlling behaviour. There are many examples of this throughout history and many serial killers studied by profilers and forensic psychologists have been found to have had troublesome and complicated relationships with their mothers. I think Waters is showing that a lot of Pink’s issues stem from that relationship following his father’s death in the war.
    Or maybe I’m overthinking it? 😂

      I think it's definitely open to interpretation, though from the mother's perspective, it's definitely a narcissistic relationship. I've seen the consequences of a "love" like that and the effects it can have on the child and those around them, too. Thankfully, my wife didn't end up a serial killer, though 😆

      @@KyNiDo yeah I thought after I typed that comment that the mother could certainly be described as a narcissist. So perhaps not an ode but rather a cautionary tale.
