    This was exactly what I needed to see! I’m doing an appliqué section on a quilt I’m working on and was trying to figure out the best way to go about it!

    Amazing! I've never seen a machine like this in use. I love that turn table and the applicey scissors, too. I'm going to put thin batting on the back of some cotton using lite heat n bond to line the inside of a handbasket I use for keeping my mending in Thanks so much for the tips!

    I just finished watching your demo and you did such a beautiful job! Not only in explaining how to use the Heat and bond light, but also you created a lovely design on the T-shirt material. It was fun to watch! And I love your brother's machine! What is the model number and where did you buy it ?
    Thank you!

      Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it! It’s an older machine. It’s a Brother PR-600 and I purchased it from Ken’s Sewing Center in Florence, AL.

    Great video! Very well done and so informative. I'm off to applique with Heat n' Bond, which I haven't used before. I'm hoping it will improve the look of my applique designs.

    I am using a PE-770 I have tried heat and bond and find my needle brakes. Is that normal? maybe I have the wrong needle? Nice video!

    • @cole2550
      @cole2550  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! there are a few different types. You have to make sure it it’s not just “heat and bond”. It has to be heat and bond “lite” or it will break your needle. The lite is for sewing through where the other is not. 😉

    Do you think this could be used for reverse appliqué?

    • @cole2550
      @cole2550  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I’m not sure. I may be wrong about this because I haven’t ever tried reverse applique. However, in reverse you have to cut layers of fabric out correct? It would bond those layers together which you would not want. You might could use it on the very last layer that will stay showing perhaps.

    • @deejcarter2003
      @deejcarter2003 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cole Creations I was thinking if you had two layers you could cut the top out and add to the background fabric and bond then stitch. With reverse you use the left over like cutting paper snowflakes.

    • @cole2550
      @cole2550  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe so! Please let me know if you try it and it works! That would be great info to have to let others know! I need to try this technique of embroidery sometime. It sounds fun!
